Two Weeks I've Spent with You...

I woke up to a delicious smell in the kitchen. I got up and wash myself. I got to the kitchen, Yixing’s back facing me. I lightly tap his shoulder to get his attention. He looks at me and smile.

“You’re sick, why are you cooking? Yixing, you look so pale. Go back to bed, I’ll make you breakfast.” I said

“No, I’m alright….I’ll make breakfast, you could sit down first.” Yixing insisted

He looks really pale…does he have any family member to take care of him. We both silently ate together. Should I find a different place to stay at? Am I bothering him? He quickly finish before me. I told him I’ll do the dishes since he made breakfast. After I was done washing the dishes, I could hear him playing the guitar. I’m not even surprise that he could play it so well. I change into a floral dress and was gonna go out. There was a knock at the door. I went to open the door, it was a girl. She has long wavy hair, pale skin, thin and tall. She is wearing a long wavy pink dress. She looks gorgeous, she must be Yixing’s girlfriend. Wait, girlfriend?! She is the girl from the photo. Why am I staying here when he has a girlfriend? She smiles at me and cleared her throat…

“Um… is Yixing here?”

“Ah, yea, I’ll tell him you’re here. Come inside.”
I face palm myself for being so stupid and not knowing anything about the guy I am staying with. I told Yixing about the girl. While they were talking I start to pack my stuff, well, I don’t have much to pack anyway. I quietly sneak down to go out. I almost made it out his door when I hear both of them arguing. Before I could actually leave the girl ran out crying. I went over to Yixing who was sitting on the couch. He ruffles his hair.

“Sorry because of me your girlfriend and you got into an argument. I am going to leave now.” I bow

“She was my girlfriend, well, not anymore.” A bitter laugh came out

“I’m sorry it’s my fault that this all happened. I’ll go talk to her.”

I ran out to catch up to her but I was too late, she was gone already. Why am I so dense? I went back to Yixing’s apartment. Yixing was still in the same position I had left him. I should probably leave now. I grab my suitcase and left. I got on the elevator and pressed the lobby button. When I got to the lobby, yixing was already there, breathless. He looks at me then my suitcase. He lets out an agitated sigh, he grabs my suitcase and got on the elevator.

“What are you doing? Give me back my suitcase.”

“…”

“Yixing! You have no rights to do this.”

“The moment you walked into my apartment, I do have the rights. Also I promise your cousin I’ll take care of you.”

“I’m leaving right now!”

Yixing closed the elevator door, ignoring me. Ugh, how did this happened, especially in the morning. I press the elevator button, I went back to his apartment to retrieve my suitcase. I’m mad, I stomp inside. Yixing looks at me.

“You can’t leave.”

“You can’t make me.”

“You are getting married in three months. So staying here for two weeks is the best thing you could do right now. Also, you have nowhere to stay. Your flight back isn’t for another week.”
I was disappointed in myself the moment yixing said that. I’m sad, I’m reminded of something I don’t want to remember. Having to marry someone I don’t love. I look at Yixing, he looks more pale now, I could see sweat beads forming. I went up to him and felt his forehead with my hand.

“Yixing….you’re burning up.” My voice crack

“I’m okay….” He pushes me away

I went to go get a towel and a bowl of cold water. When I came back he was on the ground. I freak out and ran towards him. I would carry him but he is too heavy. I check if he is still breathing. I went to go get some blankets and pillow. For two hours I stayed by his side making sure his temperature doesn’t go too high. Yixing looks so calm when he is sleeping. His eyebrow suddenly furrowed. He bolts up and frantically looks around. When his eyes land on me, he hugs me and sigh in relief, why is he acting like this? I stay still

“I thought you left…I was so worried. Your cousin would kill me if anything happens to you.” He said

“You’re worried? More like I’m worried. I won’t leave, will not until you get better.” I replied

Yixing lays back down, his arm covering his eyes. A wide smile showed on his face, his dimples becomes vivid in my mind. Seeing him smile makes me smile. I got up but yixing held onto my wrist, not letting go I glare at him. He lets go of my arm and I went to the kitchen. I made some porridge since yixing must be hungry now, I carry the porridge to him, he was sitting on the couch watching t.v. he notices me and smile.

“What are you watching?” I ask

“I’m watching Hello Ghost.”

There was suddenly a knock at the door. I went to see who it was, it was the same girl from earlier, his girlfriend. I told yixing about it and opened the door for her. She walked in with swollen red eyes from crying. I was about to leave until yixing held onto my wrist. He made me sit down with them, making me feel awkward and uncomfortable. Half of the time I wasn’t even listening to their conversation. I haven’t been here long, only three days and there is drama already. Maybe I should go to the country side…somewhere peaceful and quiet. I grab my phone and start looking for a place to stay at. Without realizing a pair of eyes was looking at me. I look up and yixing just stare back.

“What?” I ask

“She left already…what are you looking at?”

“Oh, it’s nothing…”

“Don’t lie, let me see.”

I hide my phone behind my back. Yixing wraps his arm around me, trying to grab the phone
