Gratefulness~ pt.4
"Should I just smile? I just keep worrying inside"
I wake up to the delicious smell of food. A fresh breeze blows against my face from the open window. I wouldn't like to open my eyes because I know I should then soon leave to the YG building to train, enormously, since I missed a lot because of the concert last night. Although I went there because I was told to so that I would learn about practical things more.
Something touches my jaw gently and I open my eyes slowly just to see Ji Yong crouching beside the bed. He's looking at me calmly, still in his pyjamas.
I am so happy... And lucky, I think to myself.
"I made you breakfast," his sleepy voice tells to me and his lips smile at me.
"Thank you," I whisper, really meaning it. Ji stands up and looks at me once more before going to the kitchen. I collect my clothes from the floor and dress up. I find my phone under the pillow and see that I've gotten a text message. It's from Sara.
'I'm sorry... :s it's not your fault. I must have been just a bit tired after the long flight. Can we see today?'
I'm jumping out of the extra dance class with the other trainees, holding books in my hands because I have decided to read for a test we're having to take during the lunch time. I go to the frontyard and hop in a black van. I ask the driver to pick up Sara who I'm having lunch with. I should really read on the way to the hotel but I keep watching outside of the window, looking at the yellow swaying trees. People have dressed in warmer clothes than they did in past few weeks.
It's the 19th of September. There's only around ten days until the October is here and it means that I won't be alone anymore. It's time to form the group. Hyun Suk has invited us to the meeting on 7th day but before that I will visit Finland, before all the hustle and debut rumba. I already miss home...
We walk along a small street, away from the nice cafe where we enjoyed our lunch.
"I'm so sorry about what I said yesterday," Sara says shyly. I smile.
"It's okay. I kind of understand you."
All of a sudden, Sara gets scared of something and jumps to the side. She screams and points at the sky.
"W-what..." she mumbles. I wonder what is going on and look at the tree she's pointing at. I frown, and squint.
"Is that... Taeyhyung?"
"BTS Taehyung??"
The boy is sitting on a big tree branch and notices that he's been spotted. He runs fingers through his hair and hides his face.
"Honey, what are you doing there...?" Sara looks at the Alien and starts acting weird. "How did he get up so high?" she looks at me.
I look at the pile of crumbled clothes and walk to the other side of the tree so that I could see him better. Something's wrong... I see a napkin hanging from his fist. Has he cried?
"Taehyung?" I try to talk to him in Korean. "Are you okay?"
But he doesn't even budge. I glance at Sara who looks at me worried.
"TaeTae... Come down," I touch his shoe. He moves his hand slightly. And then he moves more, moves his hands from his face. Red eyes are staring back at me.
"Baby..." Sara, who has come next to me, whispers. Tae glances at her but only dares to look at me.
"Ttarawa," I tell him and reach out my hand. He looks at it haltingly. He's so down. Where is the cute smile that I'm used to see?
"Komawo," he whispers silently, looking down.
"Taehyung," I touch his shoulder. I would like to hug him but I don't dare to. It feels like he would broke from the lightest touch.
I take a look at my watch and no matter how little it should matter I have to leave for the singing class.
"Taehyung," I say again trying to make him to look at me.
"I have to go. Where are you going?"
His sad puppy eyes look right into my eyes and I freeze. It's so sad.
"Taehyung-ah..."
"Home," he says with his low soft voice and looks behind him. The black van's window goes down and the staff person yells to me that we should get going now. I nod at him.
"Sara, could you...?" I look at my friend who understands what I mean. She gently pats his shoulder and V doesn't seem to be so scared of her anymore.
"Next time I see you I want to see you smiling again, okay?" I tell him before I jump in the van and they continue walking along the street. It was just another example of how something that looks so good from the outside, so happy, might not be what it looks like. Everything that's beautiful can be broken.
