My story starts when I was 16, me and my brother had just moved to korea because he got a job there. I was on my way to school, my new school, a school in a county I didn't know, with a language I didn't understand. To say I was nervous wouldn't be fair, I was terrified. I had always been an outsider, never fitting in, I knew this school wouldn't be different. But I still hopped, I hoped that this time I wouldn't go to school feeling like I was walking towards the gates of hell. I wanted friends, real friends that stood by me no matter what. And I.. I wanted to find that special someone, that someone who would stop me from running, that someone who would show me the light

I looked up on the big building in front of me, so this was it, my new hell..

With small steps I walked towards the door but before I could open them someone put there hand on my shoulder. I jumped at least three feet up and spun around on the spot to see a man stand behind me.
He said something in korean and I looked at him confused.
”Excuse me, what did you say?” I asked in english.
”English?” he said confused before something seemed to klick. ”You must be new student, right?”
”Yeah..” I said trying not to laugh at his bad english.
”Good, I been waiting for you, I will show you to class.” He said and open the door.
This school was much bigger than the ones I had attended in the UK, there must be at least a hundred rooms. The man showed me to a classroom with a big white door.
”Stay here.” he said as he walked into the classroom to come back minutes later with a woman.

”Hello, you must be Domenica!” the woman smiled at me.

(Sarojini)
”Annyeonghaseyo.” I said and bowed slightly.
”I will be your new teacher, i'm Sarojini! The woman said. ”Are you ready to meet you're new class Domenica?”
”Yeah I think so, and please call me Dom..” I said and looked at the door into the classroom.
”Okay, let's go Dom.” Sarojini smiled and opened the door.

The classroom was a mess, there was paper's everywhere and people was talking so loud I couldn't ever hear my own thoughts.
Sarojini yelled something in korean and everyone stopped what there was doing to look at her before everyone sat down.
”Good, just try to be quiet..” she smiled and everyone looked at eachother, like to see if anyone knew why she talked english and not korean.
”Everyone, this is Dom, a new student here.” Sarojini said and waived me over. ”Now, I want her to feel welcome so pleas show some respect.”

Everyone was looking at me and it made me really uncomfortable standing in front of everyone.
”Dom, you can sit down beside Ji Yong over there.” Sarojini said and pointed at a boy with Light hair further down the classroom.

I quickly walked up to him and sat down beside him, everyone was still looking at me. When Sarojini finely started the lesson and everyone looked back at her I relaxed more. Even though I couldn't speak much korean my brother had taught me to understand a little of it, so I understood some of what the teacher said. I tried to right everything down, in english of course but it was hard.

When the lesson ended Sarojini walked over to me.
”Did you understand everything?” She asked, looking at my write book.
”I think I got most of it..” I said and closed it.

”Well of you go then, you have one more lesson before lunch, if you're unsure about the way i'm sure one of you're new classmates will be happy to help.” Sarojini smiled as I walked out of the classroom.
