“Get on my back.” His back directed towards you. “Come on, ride me. You won’t get another oppotyunity.” Taehyung, putting on a childish pout.

“TaeTae~ … I wanna go home. I am really tired because of today’s project.” You pulled an exhausted impression.

“Hurry up.”

“Ok.” You were cautiously carried onto his back, his hands under your knees.

“Better?”

“No, I am still tired.”

“Ok, let’s go to my place.” He commenced onwards. “Um~ Noona’s not home today, so we’ll use her room.”

*silence*

“W-wait… for w-what?” You brows uplifted.

“Secret.”

“Taehyung! Don’t make fun of me.” You sulked, surrounding your arms around his neck.

“When did you gain so much weight?”

You smacked his shoulder. You knew he was just poking fun at you. You and Taehyung were friends for so long that you can’t remember. These days you were in deep despair because of the death of your best friend Jay.

“Let me treat your depression.” A smile twinkled over his lips.

You leaned your head on his shoulder, your eyes aiming his face. His ceased the walk and diverted his (as blank as ever) face towards you. You smiled concealing your melancholy.

*chu* He kissed you.

“Put me down.” You scowled, intolerant.

He simply giggled. He knew how much you hated being kissed on the lips and he enjoyed teasing you.

“I am not coming with you now! No matter how many times I tell you, you’re still into it! I can’t tolerate this prank of yours.”

“Calm down baby.”

After a lengthy pathway, you both arrived at V’s place. His 5 yr old nephew ran to you. “NOONA!” He jumped into you and you picked him up.

“How is Jaehyun?” You asked and in reply you got another peck on the lips by the little kid.

“I missed you.” He tucked his head into your chest.

You put him down. “Jaehyun! You shouldn’t do that.”

“He’s just a kid.” V defended his nephew.

“Jaehyun, kiss the girl you’ll marry to, you know… when you grow big.”

“Ahjumma, take Jaehyun to his room.” V said.

“Hey Hey! Jaehyun should stay with us.” i felt offended.

“He’s gone.”

“Tae, you’re just too difficult to understand.”

A smirk became visible on his face. “It’s such a shame that you don’t understand me, and yet you claim to be my long –lasting friend.”

“Ok, now don’t be emotional Mr. Genius.”

He took your hand and hurriedly pulled you inside his noona’s room. Why he choose this room? Solely because it was commodious room. No, but that was not all, it was beautiful. An orchid shaded large wardrobe, margining one of the walls; a princess like stunning carved bed support with sapphire blue sheets situated carefully over the bed; a chime bell hanging near the large window pane. V pulled back the printed curtains and slid open the window, moon peeking from it.

Coming back to you, he dragged a seat for you and one for him. An already food filled table was prepared for you.

“Whats this TaeTae?”

“I want you to spend this birthday with me.”

“Haha, but its tomorrow.”

“Exactly, so stay here until its 12. Then I’ll be the first person to wish you personally.” He smiled naively.

Your eyes automatically directed at the wall clock.

“Just 4 hrs to go. Let’s have dinner.” He answered your instinct.

“Tae…”

He lighted up all the candles. “You’ll never forget this night.”

You blushed at his words. “Hm…” You started nibbling Japchae with your chopsticks.

“Later we’ll have a strawberry cake for the special moment.” His eyes were fixated on your features glowing under the candle light.

You slurped and nodded.

After the meal, he crept to the window when you were busy eating.

“Tae…” You reached him, both staring at the moon view.

“Hn?”

“I miss Jae.” you told him.

“My heart remembers him everyday too.”

“Your heart?” You chuckled.

The yummy voice hit his ears and he glanced at you. “Yes, because brain dies but not heart.”

*silence* His words were deep and hurting.

“So, where am i?” Your mouth slipped words on its own.

This time he glared at you with astonishment covering his features.

“Aha… never mind. Just forget what I said.” You looked elsewhere.

Although you amended your words but his eyes weren’t leaving you, making you feel butterflies in your stomach.

“TaeTae?” You made an attempt to normalize the situation but it got worst.

He picked you up.

“Hey!” You hit his shoulder repeatedly but all in vain. He playfully pasted you onto the bed and bent on you, holding your hand with both his hands.

“Neither have you lived in my head nor in my heart. You live in-” His words terminated by the entrance of his noona in her room. She was Jaehyun’s mother and Taehyung’s elder sister.

“N-noona… when did you come?” V asked.

“Ohohoho… Look whose here… My Tae’s bestie; How are you?” She inquired with a mocking tone cutting through your already ruined heart.

“Ah… unnie I am Ok.”

“Oh, can I get some time alone with Taehyung?” She requested.

“You go to my room.” V told you as you rushed outside, your nerves entangled within, making your depression worst.

“I wonder what she’s talking about. Hopefully it’s nothing about me.” You sighed, proceeding inside V’s room and you completely understood the reason behind him choosing his sister’s room for the dinner.
Your lips turned upside, as you saw adorable stuffed toys on a shelf, the whole room otherwise was a mess, a cute mess. Your eyes caught a side open door.

“Hn?” It was attracting you towards itself. Your feet led you to the room and the door opened, letting you in. “What kind of room is this?” Your eyes explored the whole room. It was atleast tidy. A clean study table and some files piled up on it mannerly. Your lips were constantly smiling. There was a plush couch in a corner. In the next instant, your eyes led you to the other corner with a large board on it. and what was glued on the board?

His hand, situated on your shoulder, stopped you from further looking.

“Tae?” You were stunned.

“______” V was as tensed as you, since you discovered his secret.

“I am going.”

“You cant. I really want to eat the cake with you.”

“I DON’T! Stop sticking to me!” You squealed.

Without any further conversation, you abandoned the room.

“Noona!” Jaehyun happily ran into you. “Don’t go.”

“Stay.” V crawled in front of you.

“I … I-I cant.” You bit your lips, expressing frustration.

“Jae, go and bring the cake with you.”

“K.” Jaehyun left.

V stepped forward. You concluded him with your hands on his shirt. “Don’t.” Tears were obviously glittering in your eyes. He rubbed your cheek under your eye with his thumb.

“Neither have you lived in my head nor in my heart. You breathe within me. I want to live… with you.” V’s words were like sweet candy crushing your heart into pieces. You were in shock, hearing such words, uttered by the guy you thought was the most unsentimental person on earth.

Jaehyun placed the cake on the table nearby. It was a strawberry flavored cake, topped with a layer of fresh strawberries. He took out one on the strawberries, placing half of it in his tongue. He gestured you to take a bite of it.

You shook your head in discomfort. He pulled you closer by locating his hand on the nape of your neck, the other on your waist, tilting his face onto yours, forcing you to surrender. Ultimately you gave up and leaned on his face, slanting it in the opposing direction. Your faces were just a bit apart, as soon as you were about to bite the other end of the strawberry, he slurped the whole fruit inside his mouth.

“TAE!” You bumped fist into his chest with a long face, making him laugh. “You’re such a bad b-”
He used to kiss your lips because that irritated you, but this… this was the time you sensed not the same friendship in it. It was love, making it hot and steamy slowly. The strawberry flavor was still sweetening his lips.

“One more…” His breath tickled your ear.

“Is unnie upset?”

“Urgh! Don’t ruin my first kiss. She’s was just playing with you. She is cheering for us." He lured at you. "So can I have one more now?”

“No…” You shoved him away, but failed and had to surrender again for the second kiss, more passionate and deep this time. Your eye lids leisurely covered your eye balls.
Your one month depression was blown away within a single day, just because of Taehyung, your love.
