~Sungyeol~
Looking around, I smile at the students that watch me as one of the teachers shows me around my new school. I’d transferred to be with the rest of Infinite because I’d been the only one to go to a different school. “This is the school pool, I think your homeroom teacher has her class in here today, let’s go meet her.” The teacher leads me through a pair of glass doors and I instantly smell the chlorine. The teacher leaves me at the doors to get my homeroom teacher and I look around. A few of the guys were swimming around in one end of the pool, while the other boys and girls sat around the pool, talking. Most of them looked like they’d already gone for a swim, but only one girl was completely dry. She sat against the wall, knees curled I up to her chest as she stared at the pool. Kicking off my shoes, I take off my jacket, putting them in a pile with my things, just to make sure they didn’t get wet. “Sungyeol-ssi?” I look up at the middle aged woman standing next to the tour guide teacher. “Yes?” “I’m your homeroom teacher, Mrs. Seo.” I nod politely, bowing. A shriek echoes in the pool room and we turn to see a few girls standing by the edge of the pool. “I think she’s drowning!” I quickly walk to where they were standing, seeing a girl gasp for air, clawing at the open space above her. Jumping into the water, I grab her by the waist, dragging her up and onto the damp concrete. Placing my hands on her chest, I pump down before leaning down and blow air into her lungs. After a minute, she coughs up water and I sit back, allowing her to the push the hair out of her face. Looking at her closely, I realize that she’s the girl that had been sitting against the wall. “Yun Jae-ssi, why were you in the pool if you can’t-“”She obviously wanted attention when she was the new student.” One of the girls standing away from the pool scoffs and I look up at her. Jealousy was plain in her eyes. “I’ll take her to the infirmary.” The tour guide teacher is about to protest and I look at him. “I saw it on the way to the staff room.” Walking out with the girl in my arms, I use my foot to open the door and young looking guy in a white coat looks up from his coffee. “Set her down on the bed.” I do and he tells me to go out to the hall. Closing the door behind me, I lean against the wall next to the door. “What happened?” I hear the guy ask and a soft voice says “I tripped.” The guy scoffs. “Don’t give me that bullshit! The other students from your class come in here and gossip about everything. I bet you were pushed. “Ani-aniya. I was just clumsy.” I sneeze and the door slides open with a bang. “Get in here new student.” I walk in and catch the towel thrown at me. “Here’s an extra set of clothes. Wear these until your clothes are dry.” He points at a curtained bed and leaves. Sighing, I go behind the curtain and change. Pulling aside the curtain, I see that the girl is gone. Going back to the pool, I grab my things before going to my homeroom. Sitting in the back, I make sure I’m surrounded by empty seats. “Did Kim Yun Jae-ssi leave for her appointment already?” The teacher asks as I look around for the girl. “Music hour is starting, please put away your things for the broadcast.” Confused, I watch the students put their things in their bags. An adult’s voice comes from the announcement speakers. “Please look forward to Red Star’s performance.” Red Star? Suddenly intro to This Love by Shinhwa is blasting from the speakers and the class cheers. A girl’s voice starts singing and I text Myungsoo. What is this? He replies after a few seconds. Do you mean the singer, or the class? I sigh. Both. I wait for his reply and after a few minutes, he says to meet at the pool after the last bell rings. I agree and put my feet up on my desk, closing my eyes and listening to the songs that this person was singing.
