Found Out Already?
Luhan
I watched Jae Mi slowly fall asleep, gripping my hand tightly. I look at her innocent sleeping face and am resolved to find who'd done this to her. I gently pull my hand out of hers and go to class, sliding the door open with so much force, the teacher looked at me. "Who cuffed Jae Mi to the roof railing?" I say, my voice deadly calm. "You better speak now." I snarl and three girls slowly stand up. "Is this true?" The teacher asks and they nod. "At lunch we followed her up to the roof and she backed up, climbing over the railing and we decided to cuff her to the bar by her feet so she wouldn't be able to come to class." One of them explains quietly. "Girls, come with me to the staff room. Luhan, go stay with Jae Mi." The teacher instructs us and I leave, going back to the infirmary. I'm about to enter the infirmary when I realized the school doctor was sitting at her desk. Jae Mi suddenly sits up, clutching her heart. The doctor gets up quickly and Jae Mi chokes out "My bag," and the doctor picks it up, going through it until she comes up with the bottle of vitamins that had been on Jae Mi's desk. She hands a pill to Jae Mi and she swallows it with some water. The doctor looks down at the bottle and says "Jae Mi ah, if you have to take this then, could it be, you have-" Jae Mi cuts her off by putting her hand up. "Stop, don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone worried." The doctor scoffs. "They will definitely be worried when they find out about your condition." Jae Mi shrugs and grabs the bottle of pills, putting it back in her bag. "Jae Mi ah, have you calmed down now?" I ask her, walking in. She looks over at me and gives me a relieved smile. "Deh, thank you. Can I go home now?" I nod and she goes to stand up but falls over. I run forward and squat in front of her, putting her hands around my neck. I pick her up and the doctor hands me her bag. I set her down on the bed and put the backpack on, facing my front. I pick Jae Mi up again and I bring her home. When I get to her door, I turn to ask her about the keys and pause, realizing she'd fallen asleep. I gently nudge her awake with my head and she moans. "Where are the keys?" I ask and she whispers "Front left pocket." I grab them and let us in. Going to her room, I tuck her into the bed and take her bottle of pills out of her bag. I read the label and choke a little. It said 'Emergency Relief from heart medical condition'. Making sure Jae Mi was sleeping soundly, I quietly open the drawer of her desk and take a picture of important papers with my phone. Going into her closet, I grab the diary that she'd hid from me this morning. I'd take a beating anytime if I could find out what she was hiding from me. I grab my bag and kiss Jae Mi on the forehead before climbing over her balcony to mine. "Wait, why did I kiss her?" I mutter as I get into my room, closing the door and pulling the curtains over so if she woke up, she won't see me reading her diary. Dropping onto my bed, I pull out my phone and look at the picture I'd taken of the paper in Jae Mi's desk. Zooming in, the first thing I read is the longest she has to live without some surgery. Five or six months? I drop my phone and open Jae Mi's diary. Dear Diary...
