Liar
Years Of My Life Gone
Jae Mi
I wake up to someone shaking me. I groan and open my eyes slowly, looking at Luhan. "Ya! We're going to be late, get up!" I sit up and look at the clock, realizing that it was past seven thirty. I quickly get up, hitting Luhan's chin with the top of my head. I ignore the pain in my head and grab my clothes, racing into the bathroom. I jump in and out of the shower, quickly drying off and putting my uniform on. Braiding my hair quickly, I race out to my room, grabbing my bag and jumping back when I realize that Luhan is sitting on my bed reading the beginning of my diary. I throw my bag and him as a distraction and grab the diary away from him, putting it in my closet. "I know I'm handsome, but no need to elaborate on it." He says while following me to the front door. I shove my feet into my shoes and turn to him. "Here's some advice. Never ever, read a girl's diary unless you want to get beaten up. Cause I sure as hell feel like beating you up right now." This time those words weren't for the lie, but for what I was really feeling. I could feel my anger boiling up inside of me. I quickly grab my skateboard and hop on it, getting to school faster while Luhan runs along beside me. He's still laughing at my beat him up sentence as he goes to class, leaving me to put my skateboard in my locker and run after him. He goes in and I follow him, the teacher turning to us and telling us that we'd be cleaning the classroom after school. We bow and I go sit down at my usual seat, by the window. Pulling out my notebook, I copy notes from someone behind me and sit through the droning of the teacher until lunch. At lunch, I went up to the rooftop to get some fresh air, but of course, I had to be followed by some EXOtics. "Why'd you come into class with oppa this morning?" One of them sneers and I back up. They come closer and I climb over the railing, standing on the other side of the fence, aware of the nothingness behind me. "You better stay away from oppa while you're still living!" One of them says and I laugh "Does that mean I can be near him when I'm dead? It's not like I wanted to get to class at the same time as him." I hear a few clicks and look down, realizing that one of the girls had cuffed my ankle to the bar by my foot. "W-what are you doing?" I ask them, now scared that I'd have to be up here for a while. "Oh, just making sure that you can't be near oppa for the day." They snicker and leave, slamming the roof door behind them. I glance over my shoulder and grip the fence in front of me until my knuckles are white. The only real thing that I was scared of, was falling. And this looked like a pretty far fall. I close my eyes, clenching my teeth and thinking of Luhan to get this off of my mind.
