Liar

I Guess He Does Care

Luhan
I sent Jae Mi ten texts! Ten! You'd think someone would answer after that many. I hadn't seen her since lunch when she elbowed me in the stomach, but I was starting to get worried. School had already been done for a few hours and she hadn't gone home yet. Kris and Lay are trying to coax me into playing video games with them, telling me that Jae Mi's probably off with her friends, but I know that she doesn't have friends.
Jae Mi
All of the texts were from Luhan.
Luhan: Where are you, you dope! Class has already started.
Luhan: I'm not writing notes for you.
Luhan: Are you even reading these?
Luhan: Tao says you really hate me.
Luhan: Is it true?
Luhan: School is over, where are you?
Luhan: I'm not getting your bag.
Luhan: Where are you?
Luhan: Gwenchana?
Luhan: Jae Mi ah?
Does this mean that Luhan was worried about me? I grin and get my bag, but sneeze. I hope I wasn't getting a cold, the doctor said that if I got sick, I could get worse. I quickly run home, despite the cold wind rushing past me. Getting to my room, I rub my arms and look around for my medicine. I gulp down a pill with water and realize that Luhan was staring at me. I shiver and then sneeze, quickly grabbing some clothes and going into the bathroom and taking a hot shower. When I'm out, I crawl into bed and see Luhan still staring at me. To get him to look away, I flip him off and I see him say "Rude," I chuckle, but am suddenly cold, shivering, even though I'm covered in blankets. I grab my phone and text Xiumin, asking him to get me some cold medicine from the store. I watch him quickly stand up from the floor in Luhan's room and look at me. I sneeze again and he nods, going out. I can sense Luhan looking at me again and I roll over. The doorbell rings and I get up, using the wall for support as I dizzily make my way to the door. Xiumin shows me the medicine, but my legs give way. He catches me and carries me to my room, tucking me in and making sure I have my cold medicine. "Gamsahabnida," I whisper and he nods, going back over to Luhan's from my balcony. I fall asleep as soon as he leaves.

I'd seen Jae Mi walk into her room, her clothes were wet and she rubs her arms, shivering. She takes one of those vitamin pills on her desk and suddenly sneezes. She grabs some clothes and goes into the bathroom, to probably shower. I sigh and Chen asks me what's wrong. "She looks like she's been bullied." I reply and he nods, knowing who I'm talking about. I watch her come out of the bathroom and get into her bed, flipping me off. I click my tongue, "Rude," I say aloud and Lay looks over at me. I look back over at the TV and Xiumin's phone dings. He looks down at it and suddenly stands up, looking over at Jae Mi's room. I follow his gaze and watch Jae Mi sneeze again. Xiumin leaves and a few minutes later, I watch him carry Jae Mi to her room, putting her in bed and making her take the cold medicine he'd bought her. She says something and he nods, climbing over her balcony over to mine and into my room. "What's up?" Tao asks, not looking away from the screen. "Jae Mi just got a cold and asked me to get her some cold medicine." He sighs and I feel a pang of pain. Why did I care so much about Jae Mi?
