Who's Lovelife Sucks?

Kang Taeyang
I scream, because the one person that I didn't want to ever see again was walking out of my closet like it was normal. Normal to wait for your ex-girlfriend or ex-slave, whichever he chooses, to come back to her shared apartment. I was terrified because after five years, he'd finally gotten out of prison. I back up until I hit the wall and quickly slide down it, curling up as he advances on me, sneering. "Did you think I wouldn't come back for you when I got out? Were you hoping I'd stay out of your life forever?" He snarls and the door bursts open, Yongguk punches Jin Hwa in the face with enough power to knock him out. Yongguk quickly comes over to my cowering self and squats in front of me. "Gwenchana?" I hear his familiar deep voice ask and I start to breath slower. My eyes still on Jin Hwa, I ask "Where is everyone?" "They went out shopping, they left me here." Jin Hwa slowly gets up and Yongguk doesn't notice until I push him sideways and Jin Hwa's fist punches the brick wall right beside my head. Yongguk doesn't waste time getting up and decking him again, but this time calls the police to pick him up. While watching Jin Hwa, he unbuttons his shirt, tossing it at me. I remember that I didn't have my shirt on and quickly put it on. I stare at Jin Hwa, trying to distract myself from Yongguk's defined abs. There's a knock on the door and I go answer it, leading the officers to my room. "Are you the victim?" One of them asks me and I nod. "My ex-boyfriend got out of jail about a month ago. I didn't actually know until I got home, and he was hiding in my room. He tried to attack me, but thankfully I screamed and my housemate came to help me." I explain as the other officer hauls Jin Hwa to the police car. The officer nods and before they leave, he says to Yongguk "You two seem to be close, so I think that she should sleep in your room instead of this room, considering the dangers." Yongguk nods respectfully and we watch them leave. He turns to me and crosses his arms, making me back up a little. "First of all, where'd all that fighting spirit go that you had this afternoon?" I shrug, "Bad memories suck the energy right out of me." "Secondly, I sure as hell am not sleeping in that room. So it's either I sleep on the couch, or we both sleep on the bed." I shrug and follow him to his room, amazed at how messy it was. There was staff paper strewn everywhere and dirty clothes were piled up. I laugh as he quickly cleans up. The bed was pretty clean, so I sat down, surveying the room. I watch Yongguk grab some clothes from the top drawer of his dresser, and stuff it in the bottom drawer. "You're clothes can go in here," He says and I hop up, going to my room and grabbing a bunch of my clothes, transferring them to the drawer. He cleans out another drawer and I transfer the rest of my clothes into that one. I grab my backpack and Yongguk tells me that I sleep on the right side, furthest from the door. I put my backpack on the floor next to the bed on my side and grab some shorts to change into instead of my blood stained uniform skirt. I change in the bathroom and come back, sliding into the made bed, grabbing the only pillow before Yongguk can grab it. "Ya!" He says and I stick my tongue out at him, turning over and passing out.

I sigh as Taeyang falls asleep. I'd heard her scream a few minutes after the others had gone out and quickly ran to her room, decking the guy the was backing her up into a wall. I'd been so panicked that she was hurt, I didn't notice that her shirt was off until she'd asked me where everyone went. I'd realized that there were a few scars on her that were pretty big, but didn't mention anything. When I heard her tell the officer that her ex-boyfriend had just gotten out of prison, I'd felt really sorry for her. Now she was passed out on my bed, exhausted from all that had happened today, and I didn't even know what to do. I quietly get up and go to her room, looking to see if she'd forgotten anything. I looked through the dresser and a picture fluttered out and to the ground. I pick it up and look at it, realizing that it's been ripped intentionally. Taeyang was smiling happily, but the other person had been ripped away from her. I quickly put it back when I hear the boys get home. I run into the living room, shushing them and filling them in on what had happened. They all rush to my room and we see Taeyang turn over to face to door, curling up under my comforter. "Honestly, why is it always her?" Youngjae asks and shakes his head. There's a knock at the front door and we go see who it is. "Package for Kang Taeyang?" "She's asleep," I answer and sign for her, grabbing the package and closing the door. We crowd around and check the label and Zelo hisses "Birthday present? She didn't tell us it was her birthday!" Jongup whacks him on the back of the head. "We never asked when it was." We all sit back, wondering what to do for her birthday. "Ah!"
