Hwayoung’s POV

It was the day of result. I made a spectacular appearance, with shoulders lifted up and pulled back.

“Today’s the result Hwayoung…. I guess you must be drunk to behave all confident.” Jiyoung said.

“Ha-Ha-Ha…” I laughed like villains usually do. I made my way to Kihyun’s seat. “Kihyun-ssi!”

He raised his head. “You lost your bet right?”

“I guess you haven’t checked out the result yet. It’s out.” I smirked and took out a printed form of the result. I smacked it into his prince face.

“Learn some manners Hwayoung!” Kihyun stood up and glared at me.

“Yeah sure… but first take a look at the result.” I said and everyone gathered around us to take a look at the scores they got.

He checked it and rechecked and then rechecked. “H-h-hway-uong” He stuttered staring at me.

“Don’t worry, she must have cheated.” Hyungwon took his seat, presenting his invalid remark.

“unnie doesn’t need to cheat! She is genius.” I crossed my arms.

“Unnie?” I.M. asked.

“Yeah! “ I replied confidently. “I mean no….. I mean.” OMO….. What did I say just now???

“She studied with her unnie.” Minhyuk wrapped his arm around my shoulder and smiled.

I stared at him with embarrassed look in my eyes.

“Unnie? Never knew that there is another tomboy out there. How does the world survives with 2 idiot girls?” Wonho wrapped his arm over my shoulder from the other side. “Would you mind introducing her to me?” He winked.

“Urgh! NO!!!!!!!” I pushed both of the boys away. “My shoulders would have been displaced by you guys.” I glared at them.

“Hwayoung!” Kihyun came to me.

“Ye?” I asked victoriously.

“You are impressive. I didn’t know you were this intelligent…. You scored the highest and none of your answers were wrong!” He complimented, making me all uneasy as it was unnie who made this possible. “Lets be friends.” Kihyun’s hand moved forward to me.

I hesitatingly shook hands with him.

“Oye!” Minhyuk shoved his hand away.

“What was that you, Minhyuk?” Kihyun glared.

“Minhyuk’s getting all touchy.” I.M. teased and hit him on the shoulder. “Well whatever you guys say… Hwayoung’s mine.” I.M. grabbed my hand and went to our seats. “And plus she sits next to me.” He struck out his tongue at both boys.

I hid my face between my hands. What was happening? Urgh!!!

“Don’t worry Hwayoung…” I’ll protect you from these guys.” Shownu said.

I looked up at him and smiled weakly. “You came here just to tell me that?” I asked.

“Yeah.” He smiled. “Only if you tutor me.”

“WHAT??????” I yelled and stood up.

“HWAYOUNG! Take your seat!” Our homeroom teacher appeared.

I pouted and took my seat. Everyone went back to their positions. The teacher miraculously came to me.

“I suspect you… but still the principle’s happy cuz our school topped in that exam.” The teacher said.

“Hehe… I can really do it when I take things seriously.” I made up an excuse.

Later, things got worse and all the girls who admired me, started to bad mouth me because of my perfection. According to the girls, I had only two drawbacks, my behavior and my scores; and I overcame the latter. Now I was flawless, well it was their opinion. And some of the guys were being weird and the girls thought they started liking me. I wanted to skip school because of the chaos, only Jiyoung supported me in this entire situation.

It was weekend. I was taking my sweet nap when my cell started ringing.

“YAH! Hwayoung…” It was wild Jooheon.

“Cant you guys leave me alone? Its weekend. I need some rest.”

“We are losing Hwayoung…. Please save us.”

I hung up. He called again. “Its Hyungwon… he’s our opponent.” He said.

My all numbness vanished and I got up. “You just wait! I’ll teach him a lesson.” I said.

I wore my track suit as it was the most comfy. I ran towards the field. It was a soccer match. I reached my destination, now all I had to do was to reach my goal. I was panting heavily as I entered the ground. My stomach growled, Oh wow…. I could have just grabbed something to eat… how am I gonna win now? I knew Hyungwon had a lot stamina and calmness and I lacked both. He was the goal keeper.

“Why did you call Hwayoung?” Minhyuk yelled at Jooheon. Almost all of the boys of my class were playing the game. Kihyun was just monitoring.

“Because if we have her on our side---“

“I want to win against him…. I don’t want her help.” Minhyuk said upset. He took fast steps towards me.

“I didn’t know the whole class was having a match, why didn’t anyone tell me earlier?” I wanted explanation.

“Hwayoung! Jongki is injured so take his place.” Shownu yelled.

“Ok” I yelled back and just when I was about to move forward, Minhyuk grabbed my upper arm rigidly.

“Let me prove myself this time, let me win.” Minhyuk’s eyes had even more hate for Hyungwon.

“Minhyuk… Remember, we have to make his life hell together?” I reminded him.

“Let your man handle this.” He replied.

YOUR MAN???? What was that now? I was so disturbed that I couldn’t move my legs when he ran away.

“Why don’t you join us? What did we call you for?” Jooheon glared at me. “Come here.”

“I told her not to get involved. You guys don’t have any shame! You’re drawing a girl in all-boys match.” Minhyuk talked back and then there was a silence on the field. Minhyuk was taking this so much seriously.

“Minhyuk!” Hyungwon yelled. “I am waiting, hurry up.”

“I am coming.” He answered.

I just sat on the faraway bench. “I wish Minhyuk win now!” I muttered.

Minhyuk’s team had I.M. as the goal keeper. The game started again and Minhyuk tried his best to keep the ball to himself. I knew he was the best… well not any better than me. Minhyuk threw the ball at Hyungwon and Hyungwon secure his team’s marks. He didn’t let Minhyuk goal even this time. Hyungwon’s style was better than mines or Minhyuk’s. It was like Unnie’s style… composed and calm. He flew in air impressively and hit the ball into Minhyuk’s direction. The football rolled on the ground and Minhyuk stopped it with his foot on the ball.

“I guess you should admit your defeat. And it’s boring now.” Hyunwon took steps away from his position.

“NO! Wait!” Minhyuk screamed but he didn’t bother.

“I told you, Hwayoung must have scored if you let her.” Jooheon placed his hand on Minhyuk’s shoulder but he just shoved it away.

It was 2 pm and the sun was right above us, it was hot. I stood up and cursed all of them for making me wear warm track suit. I ran to them and hugged Minhyuk.

“You were the best but let us both work together to make him lose. Uhhhh!...” I backed off as he was all drenched in sweat. “You must g-go home now.” He had a long face. “Minhyuk-ah… cheer up… don’t act like a girl.”

“I am sorry… I just couldn’t… I’ll train more.” He said.

“You know… sometimes you should let it go.” Kihyun said as he proceeded.

“Nobody understands me.” Minhyuk was all hyper now.

“Lets go somewhere together.” I.M. appeared again with his creepy smile.

“HWAYOUNG!” I heard my name so I looked back.

“Wonho… whats he doing here?” I asked myself. He ran towards us.

“Can I have a moment with you?” He asked and I nodded. Was it something important?

“Hwayoung…” He said when we went to a corner. “Oh God… Minhyuk’s still staring at me.”

“Just tell me what you came here for.” I said irritated.

“Hwayoung??” He was surprised because of something. “Ok Ok…. Lets keep the two things our little secret.” He said.

“Sorry Wonho… I don’t keep secrets. HAHAHAHA! By the way what is it?” I asked mischievously.

“Wonho??? Nobody’s here… You can call me oppa.” He whispered to my ear.

“Shush!” I harshly pushed his face away.

“Are you really bipolar?” He asked confused.

“Bi-bipolar??????” I stuttered. “No…. uh I mean” My voice was trembling… what if he finds out that unnie took the test…OMOOO…..

“Since you kissed me... you’re going with me… not that Minhyuk. OK?” he asked.

I blushed heavily. “W-when did that happen?”

“Now don’t try to pretend it didn’t happen! Weren’t you in the market 2 hours ago?” he asked.

“OH ….. ummm…. Let’s really keep this our little secret… Wonho… I’ll go with you ok? So don’t bother me now.”

“Wonho???? Call me oppa…” He whined.

I pulled off a disgusted face. “Wonho O-Op-pa….” I exhaled out. “It was tiring.” I murmured. Before he could say any further I ran away.

“Where did Minhyuk go?” I asked, the sun was burning my skin.

“Home… that’s what he said.” Kihyun replied.

“Lets go home then…” I sighed.

“Lets go for a walk…” Kihyun asked.

“WHAT???? In this hot weather?” I was surprised.

“Ummm okk… lets make a plan next time.” He pouted and then left. Was he that impressed????

I walked through the hot streets. I kept on thinking why did unnie kiss him… does she like him? That’s a no… he must be lying. I came home and I was much exhausted. I could smell something good being cooked by unnie.

“Hyo unnie.” I came inside the kitchen.

“Oh…” She looked at me and then turned her face away.

“Unnie did you happen to meet Wonho today?” I asked.

“Uh….. n-no…. I –I d-didn’t.” She hiccupped and got caught.

“Now go with him ….”

“To w-where *hiccup*” She asked.

“To the wonderland trip. Next week our homeroom teacher will make the list and I’ll enter my name along with Wonho… and I know Minhyuk won’t write his name with Wonho; and I want to… I mean I have to go with Minhyuk so I’ll write my name with him too. I hope the teacher wont notice. You understand what I am saying.”

“I do… *hiccup* do understand. Lets do this.” She said. “Hwayoung… I am going to the bathroom; please handle the curry for a while.” She hurried out of the kitchen.

What was happening? Normally unnie would just hate it when I ask her to switch like this… but she seems completely alright. Did she really kiss him? NO NO That’s a NO.
