"I don't get it, how is it possible that just a random room pictured in her head would turn out to be our old rooms?" Kai questioned.
"She made everything just the same.. Every detail.. There were even our clothes in there.. I don't.." Chanyeol said, more confused than ever. "She didn't even look into our memories.."He added
"I don't understand.." Baekhyun said in disbelief.
"Suho hyung.. Do you know how she did it..?" D.O. said with his eyes wide, looking down.
"I.. I don't know.. I.. I thought they were destroyed.." Suho said, looking down, filled with questions that couldn't be answered.
Before they could think about what happened, Suho had stopped them from doing it "Let's not think about that now shall we?" He forced a smile.
The others nodded, looking down. Chanyeol spoke in a small voice"Guys, doesn't.. Hyerin.. uh k-kinda remind you of h-her?" He was still confused about what happened. "You noticed it too?" Kai said, looking down.
"It's not just that hyungs. You guys probably can't notice it. But.. There is something different about her scent.. It's like.. It's.."Before Sehun could continue, the door flew open and revealed Hyerin standing there. And that, was his first time speaking since he entered the house.
Hyerin was holding 2 bags in her hands, the other 5 bags floating around her."I'm back." She said, still not showing any emotion.
She brought the bags to the kitchen and put them in the cupboards. Then she started cooking. She was already drained from using the spells from just now but she couldn't burden her guests.
She had learnt all the spells from a spell book she found in her attic when she was living alone, so she got every single spell memorised. But spells take more energy than you think, spells are magic, and not supernatural powers. It took her 3 years to master the whole book.
After brainstorming on what to cook for about 20 minutes, she decided on what to cook. They'll like this right? She thought to herself.
She took out all the ingredients needed then she began cooking. After the cooking was done, she seasoned it with the right ammounts then set it on the table.
She then cooked some rice to go with the dish. The last time she cooked this, she was in China so out of habit, she put the rice in bowls and prepared chopsticks.
After she set the table, she called them for dinner. It was nightfall, when she saw the waning gibbous moon, she silently sighed in relief that it wasn't the full moon anymore, because she didn't want them thinking she was some monster.
When all of them were seated at the table, their jaws dropped when they saw what Hyerin had prepared. They adds not expecting this at all. They got nervous again. "So.. Chicken.."D.O. said. "Yeah, are you guys vegetarians?" Hyerin replied. "Ani, Chicken's good," Kai replied quickly before his hyung could say anything else. First she knew what our old rooms looked like, now she knows our favourite food from when we were kids? Suho thought. Staring at his bowl of rice. "Thank you for the meal" he said in a small voice. all six of them didn't know how to use chopsticks at all.
Suho was trying his best to hold it correctly.
D.O. was holding it upside down.
Baekhyun was looking at it as is it were a foreign object. Chanyeol was taking a chopstick each in his hand and he almost thought they were drumsticks.
Kai and Sehun seemed the most level headed people, well, almost. Putting the chopsticks aside and instead staring at the food as if eyes could eat.
Hyerin almost laughed when she saw this but alas, her expression remained stoic. She stood up and went to the kitchen and took forks and spoons for them."Don't play with your utensils."
Suho apologised for their behaviour and ate in silence. But once he ate the chicken, he froze, He was sure the others froze too.. This tastes exactly.. like.. like how she used to cook for us.. They all thought. They quickly finished their meal and put the dishes into the sink. Then they ran into their rooms.
"Well don't they finish eating fast?" Hyerin mumbled to myself as she rolled my eyes. She finished her meal and put the dishes in the sink. Why does everything I do.. Remind me so much of her..
