Bridal Blues

Momo Chan’s POV

As we walk back… Jaesung Oppa holds my hand… he walks in the front… but I felt awful… I kept turning and peeking back at Taehyun Oppa who was detained with hands behind his back being escorted along.

As we walked Jaesung Oppa turned to me, I could tell he was furious…”*hmph* I can’t take my eyes off of you.” He said to me… I was quiet and didn’t answer I didn’t feel like I was really not there….”We’re getting officially married tomorrow… so there is no need to rush things now.” He said scoffing

“Tomorrow?” I said blankly

“Hyung!” Taehyun Oppa yelled behind

“Be quiet… this is between me and my bride to be. Yes. Tomorrow it’ll be a small wedding but official.” Jaesung Oppa said, “Don’t think about leaving… or trying anything… if you do… the other members of the Nam family will pay for this…”

“They’re your family! HOW could you!” I yelled

That night the family was forced to sleep in the main hall and Taehyun Oppa was taken somewhere I didn’t know… I was taken to Jaesung Oppa’s Room… his room was dark unlike Taehyun Oppa and his room was awful. I sat in a corner with my hand wrapped around my knee. Jaesung Oppa walked in with an evil grin.

“Where’s Taehyun Oppa?” I asked quietly

“You don’t need to ask about him, You will never see him again.” Jaesung Oppa smiled and walked closer

“What…” I said, “What did you do….”

My eyes widen and I could barely think… it was like I was an empty shell… I couldn’t think…anymore…

“Don’t worry, he’s alive, he’ll see us marry… then… I’ll have him imprisoned by himself for the rest of his life.” Jaesung Oppa smiled and couched down to my eye level

“Forever?” I repeated

I was happy… happy that he was not hurt but… I didn’t know what to feel anymore… because Taehyun Oppa will locked away forever? I kept thinking about him… I want to see his eyes… I want to see his smile…tears welled up again and fell...

“How can you do something so- so—cruel…?” I asked , “How can you take your cousin position and hate him, it wasn’t his fault… but it was just his destiny… how? Do this whole thing… is a mistake.”

“What was that?” Jaesung Oppa said surprised

“You’re connected by blood and just a position for that?! That’s more important and irreplaceable that a position!” I finally yelled crying

“Ha…hahaha…” He laughed, “Of course, since you fell in love with Taehyun you would think so. You’re both too soft.” He laughed, “I’d never go for a girl like you…it’s just I have no choice.”

“W-what?” I said surprised

“You really think I’d fall for you? I was pretending to like you…” he laughed, “I was pretending to be nice and you fell so easy… I might as well tell you since you know now… you can hate me all you want… but my plan was prefect remember that day the fire…I wanted to make you fall for me so I set the place on fire and was going to save you… and set up a trap for Taehyun to get trapped in a room and burn to death… but unfortunately you went to find him and got trapped instead. But you both still fought and turn the odds in my favor.”

“You’re despicable!” I yelled and glared at him smiling, “Taehyun Oppa looks up to you!”

“That’s why he’s easy to sacrifice. That’s why it was so easy.” Jaesung Oppa said with a straight face

They’re from the same family but how can they be so different! Taehyun Oppa is nothing like him at all…I can’t believe I was swooning over him…the thought alone made me cringe.

That night the door and window were heavily guarded… Jaesung fell asleep on the bed and I sat in the same corner that night.

Morning came and the the light shined in… I didn’t realize when I fell asleep but when I opened my eyes… three ladies stood quietly in front of me…

“W-who are you?” I asked

“Master Jaesung asked us to dress you for the wedding and to get you ready.” One said

I stood up lifeless and let them take me. They took me to the bath house and washed my up in a tub of roses… I didn’t enjoy anything… tears fell as I thought of Taehyun Oppa… I don’t want to be anyone’s bride but Taehyun’s… I cover my face with my eyes and sobbed.

The ladies tried to comfier me but my tears wouldn’t stop falling. They stood me up and dried me. One dressed me. Another brushed my hair while one put on my makeup. The hwarot was a beautiful ember red with golden yellow designs; skirt was a deep blue like the bottom of the ocean. My hair was brushed and wrapped into a bun toppled with gold crystals hair pins. Tears continued to fall as they dressed me.

The makeup kept running down my face as my tears ran down my face. The porcelain foundation ran down as well leaving streaks on my face. The eye liner and mascara blacken under my eyes. The red dots they tried to stick to my face wouldn’t stick… they had no choice but to lead me out…

As we walked out, I sobbed more… the tears wouldn’t stop… it was endless but I kept feeling that tears wouldn’t stop….I knew there was no end…. This was the beginning of my sadness…

As I walked next to Jaesung Oppa he looked at me.

“Why aren’t you properly ready?” he yelled looking at my face

I turned away not saying anything… he grabbed the dots from the maid hands and tried to put them on my face…. My tears wouldn’t allow them to stick… he got annoyed and just tossed them aside.

I could only pray silently in my heart… deep down… I was waiting for Taehyun Oppa…

I walked into the main hall next to Jaesung Oppa… the Nam family were there dressed up but there was no laughter, no chatter, not a smile on anyone’s faces.

“Today… Our families will be united and a new head will now step forth.” Jaesung Oppa announced smiling , “Let me introduce you to me bride! Momoka of the Ariyasu. She’ll be bring in the new head of the family soon after tonight.”

Sanity kicked in… I turned and lift my hwarot and tried to run off. Jaesung Oppa grabbed my arm.

“You think that I’m going to just do what you say?!” I yelled and tried to swing his hand off

“Don’t act up, don’t forget this is not your expense to pay.” He whisper in my ear

I looked at the terrified Nam family members, he was so heartless… I need to protect them on Taehyun Oppa’s behalf but…

I fight the urge to run and turn again…my heart is telling me to run but my head says I can’t… I slowly take a step following behind Jaesung Oppa and then…. *bam* the window swing open…

“Taehyun Oppa!!” I yelled and cried as I turned

I saw him, Mino Oppa, Seunghoon Oppa, Seungyoon Oppa, and Jinwoo Oppa rushing in. I cried and smiled… He came… he got out! Oppa! Taehyun Oppa bod was cover in anger and he walked closer to us. Jaesung Oppa upset and mad grabbed my hand.I tried to shake him off and run off to Taehyun Oppa but his grip was too tight.

“What are you doing? GET HIM.” Jaesung yelled

The men ran towards Taehyun Oppa but Jinwoo Oppa and the other quickly punched them and a fight ensues…

“Out of my way!” Taehyun Oppa says kicking a man and continues to walk towards us

“How did you escape?!” Jaesung Oppa yelled

“That was easy to take care of when you have hyung like them.” Taehyun Oppa smiled and glanced at Jinwoo Oppa and them

“Always depending on on other people… I see” Jaesung Oppa provoked Taehyun Oppa

“I’m taking her back.” Teahyun Oppa said feets away from Jaesung Oppa

He runs over and grabs my arm. Jaesung Oppa tugs back with my left arm as Taehyun Oppa pulls with my right arm. I shook my left arm and finally with Taehyun oppa’s help I shook him off. I turned over and fling my arms around Taehyun Oppa.

“You’re okay now.” He smiled and held me back tightly

“Say whatever you want I’m not backing down and not giving her back.” Jaesung yelled

He ran over and threw a punch at Taehyun Oppa. Taehyun Oppa released me and blocked his punch.

“I’m not giving her up ever again.” Taehyun oppa replied

“You can’t win against me. You never could.” Jaesung yelled

The tension is thick between them both. The stand there motionless and glaring at each other… I’m breathless as I watch what’s happening. Time seem to have stood still…Jaesung oppa springs at Taehyun oppa and swings his arms as quick as the blink of an eye. I couldn’t stand to watch and squeeze my eyes shut. I heard distance shouts of heavy breathing and then… I warily open my eyes at the sight of Taehyun oppa standing over an exhausted Jaesung Oppa.

“H-how…” Jaesung Oppa said in defeat, “I loss…”

“I’m not who I used to be.” Taehyun Oppa replied

“W-what do you mean?” Jaesung asked

“I envied you when we were kids… but I worked really hard so I’d be as strong as you were…I wanted to be the leader you could have been…” Taehyun Oppa replied

“Hard work….” Jaesung Oppa said annoyed

“You don’t get it!” Taehyun Oppa yelled, “What you don’t have is feeling”

“Feelings?” Jaesung Oppa said surprised

“This is the first time I’ve ever truly care about someone other than myself. It’s the feeling of wanting to protect the people you love that makes me stronger than you.” Taehyun Oppa explained

Taehyun Oppa… tears of joy filled my eyes….

“Hmph. Pretty words… you’re soft. You’ll never be cured of that.” Jaesung oppa spat

“Fine by me.” Taehyun Oppa replied, “I have someone who needs me, just the way I am. And there’s no way that I’d give her up.

He is talking about me right? I blushed happily. My heart raced and captivated in flames by him.

“Bwahahahahhahahaa you’re an idiot!” Jaesung Oppa laughed, “Trust me, I’ll make you regert those words for the rest of your life.”

Jaesung looked at me and from his back pocket he pulled out a gun!! And pointed it at me!

“If I can’t have her, no one will!” Jaesung Oppa yelled

*BANG!* the loud sound of the bullet ripped through the air. The bullet head straight at me… I froze… my legs wouldn’t move…

“Momoka!” Taehyun Oppa yelled

Just when I’m about to be hit Taehyun Oppa wraps his arms around me. We fell onto the floor. I felt the impact of the floor and my mind everything goes white…. Taehyun…Oppa…. I realize…I’m not hurt but!!!!!

I open my eyes again and Taehyun Oppa’s arms are still around me… oh no! no! no! no! Tears filled my eyes again and I poured my face into his chest.

“Taehyun!” Mino Oppa yelled

“Taehyun…” Jinwoo Oppa said and fell to his knees

The Nam family all around grew quiet and not a word was said….

“TAEHYUN OPPA!!!!!! Stay with me!!!” I cried

“Mmm….” He groans and weakly opened his eyes

Seungyoon Oppa and Seunghoon Oppa grabbed Jaesung Oppa and took the gun away.

“You bastard!” Mino Oppa yelled and punched Jaesung across the face

He grimaces in pain.

“Oppa! Oppa!” I cried as he reached his hand up slowly to my face. I grabbed his hand as he placed it on my cheeks

“Are…you okay?” he asked

I nod hard with tears still running and sniffed.

“Ah…good…” he weakly smiled

His breath gasped and his breath quickens…

“Oppa…Oppa…I’m sorry!!!” I cried

“I…love…you…” he smiles

Before I can say anything his hand falls limp.

I froze…no…no…no…I…I…

“Taehyun…oppa…no…No! Please wake up! Taehyun Oppa!” I cried

“Haha… this is so sad. This is what happens to softies.” Jaesung oppa laughed

Mino Oppa throws a punch again across his face.

“Shut up!” Mino oppa yelled at Jaesung Oppa

Because he was protecting me…

“Taehyun Oppa! Hang on! Please!” I cried, I say his name over and over again shaking him but there’s no answer

“Dammit Taehyun!” Seungyoon said mad and punches the wall

Is he going to die…. I shook my head… no…no… he can’t…. my tears fall onto his face like raindrops that day he gave me the riceball…

“I love you…” I whisper and kissed his lips like I was praying for his life, “You heard right…. I love you…” but there was no response.

“Why won’t you wake up!” I cried and kiss him softly again

I looked up and…

Taehyun Oppa was blushing and his had a smile on his face… what???

“Aww… man now you won’t kiss me.” Taehyun oppa smiled

“Y-you were….” I said shock

“Haha…sorry everyone I just really wanted to get kisses from Momoka.” Taehyun laughed scratching his head

Everyone roared into laughter and anger.

“YOU!!” Mino oppa yelled dumbfound

“Haha I got you all I didn’t I?” Taehyun Oppa laughed

I cried and hugged him

“I’m sorry stop crying, haha… It missed me.” Teahyun Oppa laughed, “What’re crying for?”

His sweet voice echoed in my ears.

“*sob* I…i… thought you died!!” I cried

He hugs me tightly as I bawl in his chest.

“It’s okay now. Nothing to cry about.” He laughed

“ I know…I’m so happy…” I smiled crying

He kisses me. And I hold his closer and he does…

The police sirens ring loudly as Jaesung Oppa is cuffed in.

“You must hate me don’t you.” Jaesung Oppa says from the police car to Taehyun Oppa

“No… that’s pointless…because…I still respect you Hyung.” Taehyun Oppa replied

“You’re so stupid… still respecting me after I treat you like this?” Jaesung Oppa says

“Yea… you have a lot of things that I don’t… besides….we’re family… it might take time but I’m hoping one day that we can laugh together again like when we were younger.” Taehyun Oppa says

Jaesung Oppa looked hurt and sorry… the police car drives off… and Jaesung Oppa was taken away…

I gently take Taehyun Oppa’s hands as he sadly watches his hyung be taken away… it was all I could do…

Weeks after… Taehyun Oppa and I finally had our wedding… as I waited in the nuptial room… my face blushed and I sat on the bed waiting for Taehyun Oppa…

That night after the huge banquet, which is pulling double duty as my debut as Taehyun’s bride…

I sat nervous, I was dress beautifully… I kept looking at the mirror will taehyun Oppa thinks so… I blushed.

*thump-bump* the door opens and a slightly drunk Taehyun Oppa walks in he glances at me then stands in awe…

“How do I look?” I blushed

He closes the door and looks down shyly nodding.

He walks over and sits next to me. I smile and turn and grabbed his hand to my ribbon and help him pull open the top of the hwarot. He and I slowly lay down…Our eyes meet and we’re really close… my heart was pounding in my chest..



"I love you." Taehyun Oppa said softly




"I love you too." I replied




He embraced me warmly and kissed me. My heart beat quickens. The sound of our heavy breathing filed room. The lights were dim. Taehyun oppa took off his shirt while I unbuttoned his pants. His left hand pulled off my bra while his right hand slide off my panties. Taehyun oppa kissed me and looked me.



"Thank you for being my bride. " Taehyun smiled



"Thank you for loving me. " I replied
