If tomorrow I should fall...

You and Tao walk out of your apartment college dorm hand in hand. The sky was a bright beautiful blue and the wind made the trees dance. Tao smiled at you as you smile back. Every day with Tao felt like heaven. Whether you two were eating ramen or having a luxurious dinner.


"Oppa? oneul-eun eodilo ganeungeoya? (Where are we going today?)" You asked


"dangsin-eun god bol su issseubnida. (You'll see soon.) He smiled at you



Tao and you walked for a while then began to go down to the underground subway station. Tao bought two tickets and ran over to where you were waiting. You caught a glimpses of the subway tickets.



"Busan?" You read over his shoulder.



"Ah! geugeos-eun nollaun iss-eoyahaessda. (It was supposed to be a surprise.)" Tao said surprised



"Oppa... haha... wae busan ? (Why Busan? )" you laugh



" naneun bada leul bol dangsin eul meoggo sip-eo . (I want to take you to see the sea.)" Tao said smiling but sincerely to you


Then you remember, a long time ago when you were both in high school, you told Tao that you wanted to see the sea since you both grew up in Seoul your whole life.

You both sat down at a nearby bench waiting. Then you felt vibration on the ground. Maybe a train is coming closer? You thought. You lay your head on Tao's shoulder and you felt a shake and your head bobbed off Tao's shoulder.


"Oppa!" You said upset


You at him. He looked uneasy like he was surprised.

"bada neun? (What about the sea?) " you ask puzzled



Just then the ground shook violently and Tao held on to you tightly. What's going on!!!! You panicked. As you look down the ground began to split open from in the middle between you and Tao. You let go and push his back the opening ground between you and Tao was now about a 3 feet long and the space continued to grow. The ceiling began to crumble as ash and dust floating and fogged the air around you.



"Yah!!! Babo!!! wae gaja anh-assda ! (FOOL!!! Why did you let go!!!" Tao yelled he walked closer to you but you realize that Tao didn't realize how big the space between you both are now.


You looked down it was easily a depth of 15 feet and the space was about 5 feet now. Tao continued to try to wavie the dust in the air to see you.



If you don't try to jump Tao can fall down to his death. If you jump there's a chance you won't may it to the other side. You look as Tao came closer. You bite your lower lips. You run back and run towards him and jump....



You successfully push him backwards as he fell on his back, unfortunately the space was really huge and you dangle at the end. The earth continued to shake as you feel your have unable to grip the floor. As the ground shift your hand slips further you fall but grab on to a broken subway rail, because of the sharp corners from it begin cracked you hands bleed as you grip tightly.



I don't want to die!!! You thought. As fear shallows you whole the pain from holding the broken rail becomes unbearable. I'm scared... please help me... you thought.


"(Your name)!!!!!!" Tao yells and you see him reach down towards you



"Oppa!!" You yelled



Overcome with fear you soon feel warm tears flowing down your face, your visions blurs from the tears.

" museowoyo oppa! (I'm scared. )" you cried



You look at Tao. His worried expression. The ground finally stops shaking.



" gwaenchanh-a , nan dangsin eul eod-eossda. (It's okay, I got you.)" Tao says trying to calm you down



You nod, slowly he reaches down and hands you his hand. You swing your left hand and he grabs your hand. Slowly he pulls you up. Exhausted you both lay down as he hugs you tightly and kiss your head.


You both get up and looked around. You and Tao were trapped by the rumbles. He and you were covered in gray dust. You slump down away from the edge. Your hand stinging. Tao runs over and looks at your palms, there were a lot of tiny cuts but there were two extremely large cuts that bleed out.



" gwaenchanh-a? (Are you okay?)" Tao asked worried looking at your palms.



" geugeos-eun gyeondil su issda. (It's bearable.)" You said trying to assure him with a weak smile



He sit next to you and you lean on him.



"ulineun nugunga ui doum-i ol geos-ida , yeogiseo gidalil geos-ibnida. (We'll wait here, someone will come help. )" Tao says trying to assure you



" mueos amudo oji gyeong-u ? (What if no one came?)" You asked



Tao didn't answer your questions. You stopped asking. You lean your head now him. The lights you that area you sat had flickering emergency lights.
