Would you promise me?

Miyeon POV-

RING! RING!

'That's the bell,' I think to myself, 'I have to get up.' Quickly, I wipe my stained cheeks, and try to to get up, but my back stops me from doing so.

An immense amount of sharp pain leaves my spine with a tingling feeling, making me feel uncomfortable. I steadily pick myself off the ground, and grab on to the sink. 'Just like a K-drama, no one's around.' A small, almost sad, laugh escapes my lips, and I look up, only to see a hideous beast. 'Wow, aren't I one sexy beast.' I turn on the cold tap, and lightly splash some of the icy water on my face.

"O-ow." I start to feel light-headed, and It feels as if something is making it's way up my throat. My body feels uneasy and I begin to panic. 'No, no, no. Miyeon, calm down, it's nothing. Stay calm!' The 'thing' in my throat reaches it's peak, and I start coughing. I place both hands over my mouth to reduce the sound.

After a minute, I place one hand on the sink, as my throat feels better and I stop coughing. I chuckle to myself and say, "See Miyeon, you were just exaggerating." I move away from the sink, but quickly look back, when something catches my eye.

"R-red?" I whisper, "W-w-what?" I shakily lift my hands to and my eyes widen.
"No." I shake my head, "No way."

With slow, shaky movements I turn the on and wash my hands and the stain on the sink. More tears form in my eyes, and my throat begins to throb with pain.

*Flash back*

"If I'm not going to die, what's going to happen to me?"

Dr Choi looks at me hopelessy, and gives a little shrug. "I can't really say yet, since you haven;t completed the treatment."

I glance over at my mum, who's eyes are wide open in shock. I sigh and look back to Dr Choi.

"Dr, you said earlier that my condition has worsened, but by how much?" I ask out of curiosity. Well, the truth is, I don't really want to know, because I know it'll be by a lot.

I fiddle with my fingers waiting for an answer, when he finally says, "The cancer has spread around some parts of your body," He rubs his forehead, before clasping both his hands together and leaning forward on his desk, "there is a high possibility that you will get other, newer symptoms."

"N-new symptoms? Like what?" All sorts of thoughts go through my head, and I hold back tears. In reality, I want him to say that he's joking, and everything is fine. But, if he did, I would hold myself back from slapping him.

Another sigh escapes his mouth and he pinches the bridge of his nose. Dr choi leans over to the other side of his desk and grabs some new documents.
"According to the data collected, it says that in these conditions, you'll vomit more often, feel light-headed, which will lead to you fainting, and coughing up blood. There may also be memory loss."

My eyes grow large, and I tell him, "I-it's true, I have been vomiting a lot lately, but that's what always happens. Oh, and I haven't ever fainted nor coughed up blood. M-maybe it's a m-mistake."

He gives me an apologetic smile, and explains how some symptons come later on, but tells me not to panic, as they come when you're near or on the 2nd stage of cancer. "With the treatment, I doubt they'll come. Leave everything to us, okay?"

*End of flashback*

This is not good, really not good. I bit my lip, grab my stuff and, with struggling steps, make my way out.

My breathing becomes heavier, and it feels as it someone is punching my eye. 'The nurse's room isn't too far from here.'

"Mimi?" I hear a familiar voice say.
'Who's speaking?' I don't have enough strength to answer back. I try to look up, but my head feels too heavy. I take another step but stumble.

Before blacking out, I hear some shout "MIMI!" It sounds familiar, but who was it?

Sorry that I haven't updated in a long time. Too many exams -__- But they're all over now! I'll try to update faster! ^___^
