~Minnie’s POV~
There was definitely something. I peered closer. Yes, I was right. The heart rate monitor showed just a tiny bump from a few seconds ago, but it was something.

I stared, wanting the miracle to happen again. Suddenly, a louder beep was heard. A bigger mark was shown on the monitor. I held my breath.

A steady rate of beeping started, and Kai’s heart rate showed on the monitor.

I almost screamed in excitement. I sat down back again, holding his hand in mine.

Suddenly, his eyes opened a tiny bit. “M-minnie.”

He didn’t ask it as a question. He just said my name.

I freaked out and I tried hugging him so hard I almost killed him (how ironic). He smiled.

“Jagiya, you’re here.”

My face lit up with a smile. “Of course I’m here,” I whispered. “I’m always here for you.”

I leaned in, and kissed him on the lips. “Do you want to call the doctor now?” He looked exhausted, and just barely replied in a whisper, "No, I'm fine. But can you inform the others that I'm okay." Then, he laughed, and sang quietly. “Someone call the doctor...”

I laughed along with him. Humorous and almost dead, that’s who my boyfriend is. "Okay, we were pretty freaked out. We thought you died!"

I walked out of his hospital room and called all the members, alerting them about Kai’s state.

In 10 minutes, lights blazed over the hospital and cars were parked everywhere. Shouts were heard from the parking lot and 15 people burst into the room at the same time.

I could hear D.O.’s voice the loudest. “KAI!!!!!!!!!!”

Kai laughed at their excitement as all the SUGAR and Exo members crowded around the bed. After all, we were all like siblings.

The only person that stayed quiet was Chanyeol.

~Kai’s POV, right after car crash~

The impact was deadly. I lay there on the ground, not able to move. My head hurt, my leg hurt, everything hurt. I heard sirens everywhere.

I smelled burning, but I couldn’t will myself to open my eyes. I tried moving my body. Thankfully, I could barely move almost everything, but my leg was broken.

About an hour passed by, people yelling and screaming. But I still wasn’t rescued. Had they forgotten about me?

The sirens faded off into the distance. I freaked out. Why am I still here? Where’s Minnie? Who was the drunk driver? What happened to Chanyeol? Where was he? Was he ok? Where am I? My head hurt while it buzzed with questions.

I groaned, forcing myself to get up. I must get back to the Exo dorms to clean up. I must find Minnie. Those were the only thoughts I had.

I tried to get up, but fell back down. My leg was a pool of blood, bleeding and broken. I tried again, but collapsed again.

I gritted my teeth together and supported myself up again, thinking of Minnie.

I used a nearby tree to support myself up again, and was able to walk forward one step. I collapsed against the tree, tired and panting.

I walked forward another step, already sweating. My vision was blurred with blood.

I used the trees by me to walk forwards, and I managed to get a reasonable distance.

Suddenly, too confident of myself, I walk too fast. I tripped on a rock right onto my bad leg. It snapped in a different place. I screamed in pain, wishing for the hospital.

I fell onto the floor, pain searing through my body. I screamed louder. “MINNIE!” My head began to cloud. “MINNIE,” I shouted less confidently. “Minnie,” I whispered. “I love you Minnie, with all my heart. Please forgive me, I can’t hold it anymore, I softly said.

Then, I slipped into unconsciousness.

~Kai’s POV, in the hospital~
I felt myself being rolled into the hospital room and being attached to many tubes, but I couldn’t comprehend it. I felt like I was still in unconsciousness, but I could still hear and feel. I heard people screaming everywhere, and then everything being quiet.

I felt someone sit near me, and start talking. Her smooth and beautiful voice was the voice I wanted to hear.

She put her hand on mine, and spoke softly. “Kai, please stay with me. I love you. Please fight back. You can’t die. The only way you can die is if we die together. You are my everything. If you die, I don’t know how I will live on. Please, Kai, just come back to me.”

I wanted to stay with her. I wanted to show her that I was still here for her. But I couldn’t. My body did not want to.

Silence.

A sudden sear of pain flashed through my body. I couldn’t hold it anymore. I wanted to scream, but I was too weak and unconscious. My life started to slip. NO, I shouted in my mind, LET ME STAY. My mind didn’t want me to stay. Scenes of my life flashed through my mind, making me regret many things in my life. I wanted to wake up and tell Minnie that I was ok. But no. It was fate. My life slipped, and my heart stopped.

But wait.

Why could I still think?

My body was dead. I couldn’t hear, see, feel, touch, or smell.

But I could think.

I wondered about the pain that Minnie was going through, seeing me dead.

I wanted to wake up right there, and take Minnie in my arms and never let her go.

And when I thought about her, the goddess that changed my life forever, I felt a surge of energy. I tried as hard as I could, and finally a breath came out of my mouth. I forcefully breathed in, and after a while I could finally breathe without forcing myself to.

My senses slowly started to come back, and I could see the back of my eyelids. I forcefully opened my eyes and I could finally feel my own body again. I still couldn’t move anything. Suddenly I heard a scream and a girl tried to hug me and almost killed me! When she pulled back, I saw Minnie, and joyed filled my body. I wanted to get up and kiss her, but all I could do was lie down in bed.

~Chanyeol’s POV~
I was very happy that Kai was alive, but I remained silent. Did he know that I was the one who almost killed him? The room was filled with excitement.

Minnie looked like the happiest person in the world. Suddenly, I heard Baekhyun, still weak from his leg, say, “KISS! KISS! KISS!”

Soon, everyone started yelling “KISS!” except D.O and I. Minnie smiled shyly, then lightly kissed Kai on the lips.

I rolled my eyes, jealous, but I couldn’t stay mad at Kai forever. “NO PDA PLEASE!” I yelled.

“Get a real room!” D.O said at the same time.

After catching up with everything that happened, everyone except Kai headed back to the dorms.

“Minnie?” I could hear Kai’s voice ring out.

I cringed. Oh, look, making me even more jealous. I clenched my fists and willed myself to go back to my car. But I still heard it.

“I love you Minnie. You helped me to stay back on Earth”

“I love you too Kai. There is no one I would rather be with than you.”

No one I would rather be with.

Yeah, that definitely meant she didn’t want me at all. I turned away and ran out of the hospital, anger clenching at my mind.
