The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow

3rd Person P.O.V.

"Welcome to the Miller Hollow town meeting. We elders have organized this meeting to select a sheriff for the town. We are getting old and we know that we will die soon, so we want to rest assured knowing that there will be someone in charge." Iris announced. "The sheriff will be chosen through a vote. Anyone can volunteer or be nominated and everyone can vote." Iris explained to the excited group of boys in front of her. “Does anyone want to volunteer?”

As soon as Iris asked, all the boys started talking. She tried to listen in and see who was volunteering and who people wanted to be sheriff. but that was impossible with these boys.

“Everybody, be quiet.” Iris tried to calm the excited boys down, but was ignored. Or rather, wasn’t heard. “SHUT UP!” she yelled at the group.

The room went silent. Iris had never yelled at them before and they had never heard her raise her voice. All of them had shocked expressions on their faces.

“Okay. Now we are going to do this in a simple and easy way. Every one point to who they want to be sheriff.” Iris ordered.

All at once the boys started to point to who they wanted as sheriff. Hojoon, Sangdo, Yano, Gohn, Hansol, and B-Joo all pointed to Xero. P-Goon, Seogoong, Nakta, and Xero pointed to Hansol. A-Tom, Jenissi, and Kidoh pointed to Nakta.

Once Iris finished counting the vote, she cleared her throat and announced "The next person that will lead our village and keep it safe is Xero. I sincerely hope you can keep the peace between the villagers and werewolves. We wish you good luck with that task."

A round of applause echoed through the room as Iris handed Xero his sheriff badge. "Now, let us begin the first night." Iris looked around the circle of excited boys "Everyone, close your eyes." she requested in a spooky voice.

The boys closed their eyes right away, with the exception of Hojoon. He half closed his and looked over at Iris. He was happy that he got to see her smiling again.

Iris looked around the circle. "Werewolves, open your eyes." she instructed in another spooky voice. "Point to the person you want to kill."

Kidoh, Nakta, Jenissi, and A-Tom opened their eyes and waved at each other. Then they started using unique hand gestures to communicate. Iris tried to understand what they were saying, but gave up quickly. Once the boys had finished choosing, they all pointed at Seogoong.

Iris nodded. "Werewolves, close your eyes. Black wolf, open your eyes and point to the person you want to mute."

Kidoh opened his eyes again and pointed to Yano. Iris walked over to Yano and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Black wolf, close your eyes. If I just tapped you, you are muted for the day." Iris said as she concluded the night. "Good morning everyone, now open your eyes."

The boys all opened their eyes and fake stretched. Iris laughed at how silly they looked. All the boys were happy that they were able to make her laugh again after the incident.

"Now, people of Miller Hollow, it is time to choose your lynching victim. Who shall it be?" Iris questioned.

All at once, everybody started talking with the exception of Yano, who was trying to talk by flailing his arms around. Someone would be suggested for lynching, and then someone else would come back with another lynching suggestion. The back and forth bickering lasted for around three minutes until the sheriff spoke up.

“Calm down guys. We are getting nowhere like this, so we are doing Iris’s way. Point to the person you want to lynch.” Xero asserted himself.

Everyone calmed down and started pointing. Gohn, A-Tom, and P-Goon pointed at Sangdo. Hojoon, Hansol, Yano, Kidoh, and Seogoong pointed at A-Tom. Sangdo, Nakta, Jenissi, B-Joo, and Xero pointed at Gohn.

“And the first person to be lynched is…”
