Hojoon P.O.V.

I started following the wolf-like creature over to the building.

"Stick as close to the wall as you can if you don't want to set off the motion detectors." it said to me as we neared the building.

I walked with my back to the wall. We kept going until the wolf-like creature stopped.

"Wait here, I will be right back." it said before disappearing around the corner.

A minute later a boy came around the corner instead of the creature. "Don't be scared, I am on your side." he said, noticing the shocked look on my face. "My name is Youngmin of Boyfriend. Boyfriend is the group of werewolves that Iris's parents are training. I am the same age as Iris and my leader is three years older than yours."

I looked at him stunned. "Why are you telling me all of this?"

"Because I need you to trust me. I want to get Iris out of the building and away from her parents, but I am useless." Youngmin had a sad look on his face.

"Away from her parents?" I was confused. "What do you mean?"

"They didn't want her back because they missed her. They wanted her back because of what she is. She was born to two werewolves, therefore, she is a pureblood. Purebloods are rare because it is very difficult for two werewolves to have a successful pregnancy." Youngmin started to explain.

I looked at him, still baffled by the fact that werewolves are real.

"Pureblood werewolves are faster and stronger than others. They are superior to every other being. If a werewolf pack has a pureblood, that pack is immediately ranked higher than every pack without one. The higher the rank, the more powerful and influential the pack is. There are maybe four packs with a pureblood in them now. Iris's parents want her to be in their pack because they want power, nothing else."

I stared at him wide-eyed. "So you are saying that she is just a pawn used in a chess game where power is at stake?"

"Yes. I don't think she deserves to be treated this way. That is why I need your help." Youngmin had a pleading tint to his eyes.

“I understand how you feel, I have felt that way before. In the past, she has been attacked because of me and I have sworn to keep her safe ever since then.” I looked over at him. “But if I am going to get her out, I will need someone else. Let me go get my friend.”

“Alright, but I am coming with you. Boyfriend could be on patrol right now. Her parents have them patrol the property to make sure that there is nobody coming to take their precious pureblood.”

I turned around and started making my way back to where I left Topp Dogg. Youngmin following right behind me.
