A Wolf's Dangerous Love. [ EXO FanFiction ]

Chapter 1

I remember it like it was yesterday.

My Grandma would always tell me the story of the two wolf tribes that fought for the right over the humans lives and for the land. I would sit on her lap in my grandpa's rocking chair next to the brick fire place, warming the cold living room.

"A long time ago, there was a fight between two great tribes. Tribe M wanted to roam free across the land, and kill anything that they pleased. But Tribe K wanted to protect the land and its people from harms way. Neither side wanted to agree to the other, but under a battle of many years neither side won. The conflict was ended when the tree of life broke in two, one side of the tree leaned to the South; filled with people and nature which was marked by K. and the West; land of woods and wild life, was claimed by M. And between the two territories is our little town, where both can come. And also not far from our home is where the tree of life is planted. The Tribes where told the only way to bring the tree back is for a sacrifice of epic chance."

As a child I would walk the woods in search for the tree of life. But I grew older, and grown to the knowledge of the stories my Grandma told me were make believe. But little did I know, everything she said was true. I just don't know it yet.

~Myung's POV~

I was thrown out of my thoughts by the cab driver harshly stopping the car, causing my upper body to forcefully pull forward.

"Joesonghabnida, but we're here. That will be twenty-five thousand won." I had to think about the conception of money in Korea, completely different then what it is in America. I just have to go through the motions, its not like I have a choice, when your mother dies and you have no one else then your Grandparents that live in another country, you have to re-adapt to your new surroundings. I would live with my father, but not knowing who he is, is a problem. The only thing I know he gave me was my deep brown eyes.

I slightly smiled and handed him the twenty-five won, grabbing my bags from the truck and walked up the concrete side-way to the front door of the two story house.
It was a brick house, located in the far end of the woods only a few mile away from the town.
The door opens and my Grandmother revealed herself, with a big smile on her face. My Grandma was a normal person in my eyes; Always wore a dress, and simple shoes, had her long gray hair in a bun, along with a gold necklace my Grandpa gave her when they met.

"Myung, my darling. Come in." She said in here feral low voice. I smiled with joy, walking into the cozy small hallway between the dinning room and living room, ahead was a stairway to the second floor. "Come, I just started making tea." She closed the door and I followed her into the dinning room, and looked at the long wooden table, able to sit eight. I looked around facing the archway to the kitchen, and watched Gram prepare the tea for drinking.

I turned my attention to the bay window to my left and was mesmerized by the sight. Nothing but trees and wild flowers bloomed. I remember when I would visit during the summer, Gram would tease me not to enter the woods that way because it faces the Tribe M's territory.
I laughed at myself as the past flowed back to my mind as I walked to the living room and spotted old family portraits; One caught my eye, of me and my mom. I was always close to her, she wasn't just my mom she was my best friend and losing her almost killed me. My Grandpa tells me it takes time to heal but no one ever said it would take more then a year, for that year I stayed with my best friends family in America until freshmen year ended so I could continue schooling here with all my credits.

Another picture stood perfectly leveled of my Grandparents, and next; was one of me and a brown haired boy. I paused and studied the boy I was hugging while sitting on the tire swing that was always in the backyard.

"The tea is ready." I snapped my head in shock forgetting about the tea. I sat on the soft dark brown sofa, while she sat the tray of tea cups and kettle on the coffee table in front of me and sat in my Grandpa's wooden rocking chair to my left. I pour us some tea, and looked back at the picture of me and the unfamiliar boy. My Grandma chuckles lightly, taking a sip of honey tea. "I remember when your Grandfather took that picture. You were five no. Six, yes. You and Kai could not be pulled apart." She smiled as she looked at the picture.

"He's names Kai?" I ask, shifting my body to her. She nods. "Funny, I can't place him."

"You will remember, when you see him at school tomorrow." Right I forgot, its Sunday here in Korea. Saturday in America, I hate time lines.

Finishing my tea, the sun was finally setting. I thanked my Grandmother for the tea and ran up to my room with my bags I left at the front door. Opening the door, I widen my eyes in surprise. I set my suit cases at the end of my bed on the floor and looked around. My bed was pushed to the wall, my comforter are white with dark purple flowers, the same as my pillow cases. My walls were white with a wooden bottom half way down. A dark brown dresser across from my bed to the right, with a big mirror on top. I walked up to the mirror, pulling my long brown hair up in a ponytail. I don't wear full make-up, never really wanted to look fake, or touched up I just had simple eyeliner on with mascara. I changed into a pair of black sweat pants from my luggage and a white tank top, not bothering to put my clothes away yet.

I sighed, as I fell back on my bed, arms spreads out. I looked up at the plain white ceiling and kicked off my shoes. I turned my body and looked out the window and put my head on the window sill, keeping my eyes on the full moon that was finally set free from the sun. As a kid I would sit looking out this little window, facing the west and dreamed about K, silly now that I think of it.

"The moon, the moon it shines so bright, but for only one lucky night, the red will fill its place and creatures on four legs will yell with pleasure." I say the rhyme my mom shared with me, a fun joke between me and her. I pull at my covers and laid back letting the blankets cover me in warmth. Still in view I look at the moon. To finish off my mothers rhyme I take a slight breath and softly howl to myself and think of her.
A answer comes from the outside, as I hear a loud howl calling back to me.
