Unfortunate Fate

-Jaejun P.O.V.-
"Good morning." The nurse said walking into my room with a tray of food.
I looked down at the food as she gave it to me and a tear fell from my eye because there was seaweed soup.
"I saw that it was your birthday on the records, happy birthday." She said to me with a big smile.
"Thank you" I said before I exploded into tears.
"What's wrong?" The nurse asked.
"Can you leave me alone for a bit?" I asked her and she left with a worried look on her face.
I've never had seaweed soup on my birthday or even a party and it used to be so embarrassing because all my friends at school would have them.
-Yunho P.O.V.-
I walked into Jaejun's hospital room just to check in on everything but she wasn't there.
"Where's Jaejun?" I asked Max who was in here room.
"I don't know, that's what I'm trying to figure out." He said.
"You guys are looking for Jaejun?" A nurse asked.
"Yeah, do you know where she is?" I asked.
"She went out for some air on the roof but are you guys planning on doing anything today?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" Max asked.
"You know... for her birthday."
"It's her birthday?" I asked surprised.
"Yeah, You didn't know?"
"Hyung! I'm going buy a cake!" Max said and started to walk down the hallway.
"How do you get to the roof?" I asked

"Hey Jaejun! What are you doing up here and not resting?" I said playfully but she didn't respond and kept her back turned to me.
"Hey are you ok? I heard it's your birthday." I said standing next to her and I could see she was crying.
"I didn't realize it was and someone actually made me seaweed soup." She said controlling her crying.
"But why are you crying?"
"Because someone tried to celebrate my birthday."
"And that made you cry?"
"I've never really celebrated it before and I guess it shocked me."
"Because you were mistreated?" I asked hoping this wasn't a bad time to discuss this.
"I was.... but now things are good.... sort of. I guess once the fans forget about me I can live a normal life."
"But who did those things to you... I mean the doctor said you were in bad shape from..." I said and she looked down and stay silent for a while.
"I moved out by myself so I'm ok now."
"Was it a boyfriend?"
"No I've never had one."
"So your own family..."
"We aren't really related but my adoptive father disappeared so now my older adoptive brother has custody over me because they lied saying I was disabled. So I escaped and they haven't been able to find me yet and hopefully never do." She said and she had stopped sniffling.
"What about Mina?" I asked her and she turned to me with her eyes full of anger.
"How do you know that name?" She asked very serious.
"I've heard you say it a couple times."
"Never ever say that name again please."
"Ok... so want to go back in now?"
"Give me a few more minutes."
"Ok well I'm going to head back to your room now then."
"Ok." She said and looked of in the distance.

"Hey hyung help me set up the decoration really quick that manager brought." Max said bringing in a box to her room.
"I knew you would do this but we don't have much time because she said she would be down in a few minutes." I said and didn't realize that I was smiling.
"Hyung do you like Jaejun now?" Max asked.
"I told you I never hated her and it's her birthday so we should celebrate."
