Finding You & Me

On the other side of the city, Addy woke up that morning bright and early to head to the office to get straight to work. Tammy was already inside of Addy’s office to talk to her about her day schedule when Addy got to what she wanted to say to Tammy.

Tammy : you have a short meeting today with the design team in an hour.
Addy : okay.
Addy : do you remember that thing that we talked about earlier ?
Tammy : i remember.
Addy : ive made up my mind but first i want to ask you one more thing.
Tammy : what did you want to ask me ?
Addy : why didnt you ever tell me about Kaylie in the first place ?
Tammy : i was afraid that you wouldn't give me a job because i had a daughter.
Tammy : you expected more from us. Im a single mother with a child.
Tammy : do you ever think this company would accept someone like me ?
Addy : you still don't remember the reason why i hired you.
Addy : i hired you because you had talent in helping with HBA these past couple of years.
Addy : i dont judge you because you have a daughter,
Addy : i'm more than happy that you have one.
Addy : so you shouldn't hid that from me in the first place Tammy.
Tammy : you're going to fire me huh ?
Addy : No.
Tammy : what do you mean ?
Addy : i'm giving you a deal and a chance. you choose one or the other.
Tammy : what is it ?
Addy : its either you stick around and work as the head department for the Women clothing line.
Addy : thats when we are about to open it.
Addy : you are going to work with Caroline in this as our new project partner.
Addy : or you resign and leave this company forever. its one or the other, you choose.
Tammy : i want to stay and help.
Addy : good.
Tammy : thank you so much for not giving up on me.
Addy : i should be the one thanking you Tammy.
Addy : you have always been there for me when this all started.
Addy : you helped with everything even when you have a daughter.
Addy : i praise you for that. you should be proud.
Tammy : what happened between you and Mark ?
Addy : reality hits us and we had to go back to where things were.
Tammy : are you sad in any way that both of you went your separate ways ?
Addy : from this day on, i might not be able to see him ever again.
Addy : but maybe one day faith will bring us back to where we were.
Tammy : im sorry that you two went your separate ways.
Addy : im sorry too. we should get back to work, we have a lot to do.
Tammy : right.

Addy went to her meeting in two hours. This scene shows that Kris is sitting in her office staring at her desk. She thought about resigning from work to do something she wanted to do in a long time. She took Addy’s advice when they were at the airport. So Kris packed her office into boxes and wrote her resignation letter. She put it in an envelope and took it to her boss. She was more than nervous to talk to her boss but she overcame her fear in talking to him.

Boss : you wanted to talk to me Kris ?
Kris : yes, sir.
Boss : what is this about ?
Kris (*slide the resignation envelope towards her Boss on the desk)
Boss (*takes a look at the envelope & asks) : what is this ?
Kris : i want to resign from this firm, today.
[Everyone in the firm were looking through the window of the boss office wondering whats going on]
Boss : why are you resigning today ? you are one of the best lawyers here at the firm.
Boss : why must you leave ?
Kris : i love being a lawyer, it's my job. i love helping my clients out.
Kris : i just feel like i can't do what you want me to do at the firm.
Kris : i can't let anyone tell me what to do and what i can't do.
Kris : you once told me that i can be a lawyer if i believe in my job.
Kris : now that i look at it, the ending is where my beginning begins.
Kris : that's what i believe in.
Kris (*about to walk out when she stopped)
Kris : if you want your peoples to work for you,
Kris : don't tell them what to do because they know what they need to do.
Kris : that's what being a lawyer is about, isn't it ?

Kris confidently walked out leaving everyone at the office speechless. She went back to her office and grabbed all of her things to her car and left permanently. Andres ran after Kris to see what just happened. They were looking at the lake while talking.

Andres : what happened back there ?
Kris : i quit.
Andres : i can see that but why ?
Kris : i couldn't do it anymore.
Kris : i want to open up my own law firm here in the city, make my own business out of it.
Andres : you really are going to do that ?
Kris : yeah.
Andres : and you're going to do this on your own ?
Kris : is there any other way ?
Andres : let me help you too.
Kris : you can't when you're still working for Boss.
Andres : i don't work for him anymore. i quit before you did today.
Kris : what ?
Andres : i can do whatever i want now that i don't want for him anymore Kris.
Kris (*smiles & asks) : how is that possible ?
Andres : it just is.
Kris (*hugs him & lets go)
[Kris takes out the envelope document of the legal marriage forms & gives it to Andres]
Andres (*takes it & asks) : why do you have this ? i thought you gave it back to me ?
Kris : the one i gave to you was a copy version of the unsigned document.
Andres : what ?
Kris : this one is the real document.
Andres : and its signed.
Kris : i signed it this morning.
Andres (*looks up at Kris & smiles)
Kris (*smiles)
Andres : so you're going to marry me ?
Kris : yes.
[Andres then hugged Kris tightly & spun her around]
Kris : you do know that you have some explaining to do to my girlfriends.
Andres : yes ! i know. i cant believe it.

Kris and Andres was so happy together. So that afternoon, Kris sent an SOS message to Aria, Addy, and Caroline saying “SOS, come quick now!”. At [1PM] Aria, Addy, and Caroline met Kris at the coffee shop on Melrose Ave. The three got there at the same time and walked into the shop together to see what was going on. The three sat in front of Kris with Andres by her side. Then they told the three the good news about the two while sitting there.

Aria : Dude, whats going on ?
Caroline : yeah, is everything okay ?
Addy : we saw the SOS message.
Kris : we have good news for you guys.
[Aria, Addy, and Caroline all looked at each other confusingly towards Kris]
Andres : we’re getting married.
Aria (*asks with wide eyes) : Really ?!?!?
Kris : really. i signed the legal marriage documents.
Caroline : what about your jobs ? what did they say about this ?
Andres : both of us quit this morning.
Andres : we are going to open up a law firm together in the city soon.
Addy : this is all great and out of the blue. are you sure about this ?
Kris : we’re sure. i wanted to ask you guys to be my bridesmaids. is that okay with you ?
Aria : its more than okay.
Caroline : we’re so happy for you Kris.
Addy : you're finally getting married.

During the [next year or so], Kris asked her dad for permission to marry Andres. The four girls help plan the wedding. Kris and Andres had their wedding at the Santa Monica Beach with their close friends and family there. Addy got the courage to text Mark again and she told him about Kris getting married. He gave them their blessings and congrats them. After Kris and Andres got married, they found space and turned it into their own law firm. For Caroline and Tammy, they have been working with the new Women clothing line department. They have also been helping out with the store in Las Vegas and ordering merchandise for the store. As for Aria, she removed all of her tattoos and became a much cleaner person. She wanted to be the mother figure that Lia wanted. So she sold her tattoo shop to someone who really needed it. She took that money and fixed up the dance studio that she owned to make it look much better. She also advertise it more and famous artists and other dancers come to learn from her. Aria’s mother never came back from Korea because she loved the life in Korea more than the U.S. Three days before the new year had started, Addy took a plane to Las Vegas with Caroline and Tammy to finish putting the final touches to the HBA store near Planet Hollywood. On the night of New Years Eve, the HBA store was launched and opened for customers to come and celebrate the grand opening. All of the guests wore formal clothing and stayed there until the countdown of the New Year started. Addy was happy on launching the store but she felt like something was missing. So Addy told Tammy and Caroline that she was going to get some fresh air outside. Tammy and Caroline were standing there looking at each other and wondered what was wrong with Addy. Then Tammy went to give Mark a call on the side.

Tammy (*calls Mark on her cellphone)
Mark (*picks up the phone) : Tammy, what's up ?
Tammy : are you still in Vegas with mom and dad ?
Mark : yeah, why ?
[Mark notices Addy standing outside with a jacket on on the other side of the street where he was sanding]
Mark : are you in Vegas right now ?
Tammy : yeah, im here with Addy and Caroline for the store launching.
Mark : i see her right now. she’s standing outside of the store right ?
Tammy : thats right.
Mark : i got to go.

Mark hangs up the phone right away and walked towards Addy when he noticed that Addy walked the other way going somewhere. He followed her and finally called her name out making her stop.

Mark (*calls out Addy’s name) : Addy.
[Addy stops at her step & recognizes the familiar voice]
[Addy turns around & surprised to see Mark]
[Busy street of Las Vegas with people walking back and forth]
Mark (*calls out Addy’s name one more time) : Addy.
Addy (*takes a step back)
Addy (*stutters) : M.....Mark.
Mark : isn't today your store launching ?
Addy : it is. what are you doing here ?
Mark : Its New Years Eve.
Addy : i can see that but what are you doing in the states again ? its been over a year.
Mark : one of my closest relatives passed away a couple days ago.
Mark : i wanted some time to recuperate everything thats happening.
Addy : im sorry for your loss.
Addy : why didnt you ever tell me ?
Mark : Im sorry i havent been texting you lately. ive been busy with promotions.
Addy : wait, did you know that i had my store grand opening today ?
Addy : is that why you came to Las Vegas was to look for me ?
Mark : i didn't know until i got here when i saw that poster in front of the mall earlier.
Addy : i know how life is with you, you don't need to explain.
Addy : im better this way. im used to being alone Mark.
Mark : no, your not.

Mark walked closer to Addy and held her tight. He leaned his forehead against hers and she felt at ease when with him. Then they shared a kiss on the lips together. The both of them then headed back to the venue to party it up with the guest and count down for the New Year. Tammy saw Mark again and met with Caroline for the first time face to face at the party.
