The Gamer Girl... Idol?

Cameras flashed from all angles, my eyes were blinded but I've now learned the technique on how to keep my eyes open for the pictures. I could see the interviewer's lips moving but I couldn't seem to hear what he was saying.

'Miss Lee?'

I snapped out of whatever trance I was in and focused on where I was. Interview. What for again? Oh yes, the world championship. My team and I won so I'm being interviewed for my spectacular performance. But why aren't my team members here? I remembered the cameras that were taking pictures of me from every single angle and the makeup they put on me just a few minutes before. I'm modelling for the front cover of some sort of popular Korean magazine that women love and I'm being interviewed as well.

'Miss Leeeeeeeee.'

My eyes widened in horror, 'I'm sorry, please ask your question.' I said and bowed apologetically.
The interviewer didn't look too pleased that I've been staring at him blankly for who knows how long, but he launched into his questions.

'Congratulations on your big win at the League of Legends World Championships. How do you feel that your team has just won 1 million dollars.'

My manager told me to smile at whatever the interviewer says even if I don't want to, however a huge natural smile appeared as I thought back to winning, 'We were ecstatic! We trained night and day and we're glad that all that work paid off.'

'Another amazing achievement was that you are the only female to have entered the World Championships. Many say that you are an inspiration to women.'

I giggled, 'Well I thank anyone who has looked up to me as an inspiration. Although it may be hard at first, if you work through all the trials that are set before you and have positive thinking, you will succeed.'

The women around the set smiled brightly and they looked at me with admiration. I wonder if they know that most of this interview is scripted. Thank goodness I have the ability to memorise things easily or else I'll look like a fool.

'But the biggest question Netizens have been asking is why you chose this career?'

I looked at him blankly, this wasn't part of the script.

'I'm sorry but I don't completely understand?'

He laughed lightheartedly, 'Oh don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. With a face like yours you could become a celebrity. Many netizens have been writing about how you would be a top star. Haven't you been reading the articles?'

I suddenly felt really nervous, like I wanted to run out of here. I tried to smile but I failed miserably, 'I don't think I'm cut out for showbiz, I'm not that talented.' I tried to laugh but it sounded like a dying bird.

The interviewer looked surprised, 'Not talented? With a voice like yours you could put Ailee and Taeyeon to shame.'

Now it was my turn to be surprised, 'A voice like mine? How would you know anything about my voice?'

The interviewer tsked at me, 'Dear, you really need to start reading the news.' He grabbed his laptop and he tapped a few keys and the headline was:

PROFESSIONAL ESPORTS PLAYER AND SWEETHEART LEE ARI IS MORE THAN JUST GOOD LOOKS AND GAMING TALENT.

And below the headline was a video of me in a waiting room at the World tournament, watching a TV screen of TTS performing Holler. However the sound wasn't on on the TV and all you could hear was me singing along, like I was performing with them. As the song unfolded and all notes I sung were perfect and the Interviewer looked admiringly at me, now the high note came. I hit it with power and since that note isn't as high as it seems it was incredibly easy.

But the question is who took this video of me and why would they want me to shoot up to stardom? Because by the looks of everyone's faces and the paparazzi waiting at the door, it seems that its going to be very hard to avoid.
