The visit

For a moment I lost all my reasoning and my mind went blank. There was one and only word that controlled all of my body:
"Run". What was I running from or for, I really didn't know. I just kept going on to get out of there and only stopped when I reached the gateway, where an unexpected visitor was waiting for me...
We sat in the living room, I felt relieved to have someone with me. It calmed me down a little bit. Still, I was awkward around her, she was particularly a strange that I've only met when she sold us the house.
Mrs.Jang cut off the silence by saying:
-I hope I'm not bothering you.
-No.. Not at all... But seeing that you came all the way here, is there anything that you forgot to take with you?
-Actually I came to see you. I heard about your husband. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I nodded awkwardly as she continued.
-I've been through the same situation before so I can understand exactly how you feel.
-The same situation?
-It was ten years ago, after two weeks of moving to this house, I lost my husband...
-Oh... I didn't know...
-He was an energetic man, never stands still, if he's not at work, he'd be doing one of his many hobbies, that day he went on a ride on his motorcycle... but never came back...
In deed, her situations was so similar to mine, coincidence? I don't think so...
I was focusing on her face, it showed off all the grief that she must've been feeling for the last ten years.

She seemed to be a strong lady, very charming for a woman in her early 30s.
She, obviously, was married in an early age, and even though she had a wide chance to remarry after her husband's death, she remained loyal for him. She must've loved him so much to do such a sacrifice.

Mrs.Jang looked at me, hesitating before asking:
-You seemed to be so scared earlier, is there anything going on?
I shook my head with denial, but I don't think it was convincing, at least not to her.
-Which one did you see?
Her question was so confusing that I didn't know how to respond.
-What do you mean?
-I told you that I went through the exact same thing as you, didn't I? So you think I won't know why you were running away?!

I didn't say anything...What was she talking about? Maybe she had hallucinations too...
I really wanted to tell her about what I saw, but, would she believe me? She'd probably think that I was a psycho.

-Did you find the key?
This time she took me off guard.
-You know about the key?!
-Where is it?
-It's in my room upstairs, but it's.. I mean..I don't know what happened...The key was totally normal before but now it's...
-Let me guess, covered with blood?
-How do you know?!
-I may sound weird saying this, but, what's happening with you is the natural course that happens with all the new house owners. I'm really sorry to tell you this just now but it's time for you to know, the reason behind all this misfortune you've been facing...
-What are you talking about?
-All the couples that lived in here had the same fate as you; first they would think it's the perfect home for their blossoming love, but then the man dies a few weeks after moving in. After that, weird things will start to occur, and you'll thing you're going crazy...

I cut her off with an angry tone:
-Can you please get to the point !!
-This house is cursed! And the man you saw earlier is a ghost, he's not the only one but he's the origin of this curse!! And he's probably the one that caused your husband and my husband's accidents ... Do you get it now !!

What the hell was she talking about... I think It was her the crazy widow, not me...

-Am I supposed to believe your words ? Curse and Ghosts you say... Does it even make sense?!
-You think it's nonsense , but if you match all the pieces together you'll come to believe me. The sudden death, the key, those guys... Everything is related somehow !

Now that I think about it, it matches just right, specially the bath incident, the phone call, the special breakfast, the dream too.
But I wasn't fully convinced, I needed a sure evidence.

As if she was reading my mind , she took a huge old book out of her bag and put it on the table.
-Here, this book have been passed down from an owner to another during the last 50 years as they wrote down their own stories. Do you want to hear it?
