3 DAYS LATER

“Kevin’s socializing again?” A boy from the class asked Kevin.
“Hahah… what are you talking about? I was just a little upset due to something. That’s all.” Kevin replied and unintentionally looked at Noah who was just quietly sitting at the corner on a seat, indulged in her own world. “for once, I actually believed that I really fell for her; but thanks to God I cured before that happening.” He thought while looking at her.
Noah caught him staring at her but the very next moment, he looked elsewhere, completely ignoring her.
“Whatever!” Noah murmured and looked away.

“Kevin?” Bomi called Kevin who was with Sera.
“I’ll be back.” He said to Sera and went to Bomi.
“Why are you doing this? I thought you were---“
“W-wait, Bomi…. I’ve recovered.” He told her happily.
“B-but how?? Well that’s a really good news.”
“Ye… so if you’ll excuse me.” Kevin waved and left.

Noah sat alone on the bench in the university ground and opened the packet of snacks, along with a fruit juice. She was alone once again. After taking away all her bonds, Misook, Byunghun and then Bomi, Kevin played his game of selfishness again and left her.

Kevin passed by along with his friends and couldn’t help but look at her. She looked back with offensive eyes while drinking her juice. “Guys, I’ll be back. You guys go ahead.”
To her surprise, Kevin came to Noah and sat on the bench with her.
“Arent you worried about your health? Don’t sit with me.” She said without looking at him and enjoying her food.
“Don’t look at me like that, jebal.” He said.
“OK.” She packed her material and got up.
“W-where are you going?” He asked.
She slightly turned back. “You’re not a man. A man shouldn’t go back on his words.” She turned and walked away.
“W-wait.” He stood up. “Weren’t you the one who suggested that I should think about my health first?” He asked for explanation.
“I am not talking about that. Once you’ve decided to stay away, then stick to that. Don’t glance at me or come to talk to me. Annyeong. And don’t follow me.” She left.

As days passed by, Kevin came to realize that he already had fallen for her although he made up many excuses to deny it but all failed. He thought it was too late now because he recovered and as Jessica said that mutation can cause something like that again and he suffered already because of the disease, so he decided to stick to the decision he made but, love was stronger than his fears. Everytime, Noah came before his eyes, he couldn’t stop but repent for what he did to her. He knew it was all his fault that she’s completely alone now.

1 WEEK LATER

It was 6 in the evening. Someone knocked at the door. Noah went to open the door.
“Annyahasseyo… do you want something I mean, you never come at this time.” Noah asked her ahjumma.
“Well, I didn’t come here for me or you.” She slid and embarrassed Kevin appeared from behind her.
Noah rolled her eyes in response.
“She doesn’t look happy to see me.” Kevin whispered to ahjumma.
“That’s because you have not done good to her.” She said to Kevin. “I guarantee this time.” Ahjumma smiled at Noah. “I am leaving him here. Call me if he does anything like leaving you again.” She left.
“Why are standing like that?” Noah smirked.
“Should I enter?” Kevin asked.
“Get lost.” She closed the door.
“Noah… forgive me. Atleast let me apologize.” He said and Noah opened the door.
“Ok. Apologize.” She said with no expression.
“I am sorry. Please forgive me and lets…. Just forgive me first.”
“Cant hear what you said?” Noah asked for it again.
“I said I am sorry, so please---“
“Wait, something doesn’t seem right. You must bend on your knees and then apologize.” She said.
“Jinja!” He murmured and sighed. However he did as she said. He bent on his knees in front of her apartment. “Noah… I am really sorry from the start to the end for what I did. I know its unforgivable but---“
“Bend a little more, so that I couldn’t see your face.” She said.
He looked above at her and bent a little more. “I’ve never did this for anyone.”
“Huh… no one ever asked you to do this and besides, I heard you got beaten by a lot of guys when you were in middle school due to lack of strength and … you acted like a little girl so they called you girl.”
He frowned at her and clenched his teeth.
“Who are you staring at?....... wait here in this posture, don’t try to stand up and keep on looking down until I come. You look so desperate for my mercy, but you cant have it that easily.” She looked down at him and then closed the door.
Meanwhile, a guy entered his apartment while looking at Kevin. “What is he doing?” He murmured to himself. Kevin felt extreme humiliation.
Noah came back after 7 minutes and poured hot water on him. It was hot enough to the level that it just didn’t damage his skin.
“Ok… let’s get back to the topic. Apologize.”
“I seriously cant get angry.” Kevin thought. “Noah….” His skin started feeling the hotness after the water had been poured. “I’ll get rashes over my neck and back.” He said while looking down.
“Is it an apologize?” She asked angrily.
“Just forgive me already.” He grabbed her lower legs.
“W-what are you doing? Don’t touch me.” She startled. “Just go… I won’t forgive you. Leave.” She pushed his hands away and closed the door in a hurry.
“Atleast give me some ointment. It’s really burning my skin.” He yelled from outside.
“Here.” She opened the door and threw out the ointment which he caught.
“But how do I apply it on my back?” He asked after she closed the door.
“URGH….. Go to ahjumma.” She felt irritated and gave him the solution.

“I love her.” Kevin pouted as the ahjumma applied ointment on the burnt areas.
“Well she was really mad at you when you left. She might love you too.” Ahjumma replied.
“Really?” He asked. “She poured hot water on me but i didn’t get angry over it.”
“all I can do is pray for you. Just think of a plan to make her realize that you love her.”
“I can’t tell that to her directly cuz I have done it a plenty of time and I lied everytime except the last time.” Kevin told.

ONE DAY LATER

Noah was going to her apartment when she felt someone was following. She looked behind and found Kevin. She sighed and ignored him but after a few minutes she felt irritated so she stopped.
“Stop following me.” Noah said coldly.
“Didn’t I call you Bit**, that makes me a Dog, so a dog should follow his Bit**.”
“Bad joke.” Noah replied and turned around.
Kevin grabbed her wrist.
“For how long Kevin? I am fed up of watching you play tricks on me.” She glared at him.
“But you still didn’t get. I …… I don’t love you.”
“Finally, you said the right thing.” She shoved away his hand to free her wrist.
“Yeah… you are right. It’s more than love, it’s a habit now.”
“Do you want me to believe? If I am the one who gets to decide, I wont EVER consider you so just leave my way like a good dog.”
“Noah…” he whined quietly and slowly grabbed her fingers. “I really cant get through my day until I see you and tease you so let me do this every----“
He received a slap on his face. “Now try saying ‘you’ll pay’ or something like you used to say. She moved away. “ poor, lamentable, pathetic.” She left.
