Cherries and Chocolates

She looked at Kevin with fearful expression. Kevin released her arm. She took out the mask and wore it again.
“Uh just forget it. Why are you wearing this mask?” He asked. “Have you caught cold?”
She nodded and started walking with lengthy footsteps. Kevin sighed and followed her.
“Why is she following the same way that leads to my house?” Kevin asked himself.
Kevin reached his house while following her but he proceeded. She turned back and caught him. He startled as soon as he saw her eyes on him. He stopped. She again started to walk and this time Kevin carefully followed her and reached her apartment. It was a 2 storey building and there was a corridor for both floors. The doors opened in the corridor and each door represented separate apartments. Kevin turned back and hurried to his house.
“Welcome back Kevin.” His sister-in-law greeted him.
“Where is dad, agassi?” Kevin asked.
“He isn’t home yet. Do you want to ask him about something?”
“Did he rent one of the apartments?”
“Really? I don’t know about that. Ask him when he comes home.”
Kevin left without saying anything. He entered his room and closed the door. He inclined his back against the door.
“Let me guess.” He said to himself. “She came from Sweden. She lives in the apartment of our building. She wore a mask today and surprisingly, she’s my classmate. Hmmmmm…… Anything else?” He asked himself. “I guess not.

What are you? And what’s your name? And why did you try to kill your cat? And why did you wear a surgical mask?....... I’ll find it out for sure.”

Noah’s apartment
She closed the door of her bedroom. “I should be careful of that guy.” She said.
Her cell phone rang. She picked it up.”Yoboseo?”
“Noah… its me Mi sook.” A woman called.
“Oh how are you, Ahjumma?”
“I am absolutely alright. I am so happy that you and Jessica came back to Seoul.”
“Hmm it was your daughter’s decision. Since she is my doctor, I had to come along with her.”
“Ne… Jessica does what she wants.”
“I know that better than anyone Ahjumma.”
“Hahahahahha……. So what about the university? Have you liked it?” Misook asked.
“It’s all thanks to your permission that I am able to finally go to a place to study… but don’t worry, I am wearing the surgical mask.” Noah explained.
“Oh dear, no need for that. Don’t wear that. You won’t transmit germs like that. Just don’t get close to the other person. Its alright. I know about this disease better than Jessica.”
“Are you sure?”
“Ofcourse, I don’t want people to be suspicious of you and besides, its alright.”
“Ok if you say so…”
“That’s like a good girl. Do make friends and form social relationships.”
Next day
“Byunghun-a…..” Kevin pushed Byunghun from behind.
“Ahhh… Kevin!” He felt irritated from his actions. “Why don’t you leave me alone!!!!”
“Didn’t I tell you? My friends aren’t in my class.” Kevin said without hesitation.
“So, it’s not friendship but a necessity now.”
“I never said that. I just like to tease you. What’s so bad about it?”
“Just leave me alone, atleast for today.”
“I will… but we have a class… so I can’t.” They enetered the class after the professor and took seats at the back.
“Mannnn!!! I am gonna be so bored. There’s no fun buddy in this class, except that girl but where is she?” He thought and moved his neck to find her. To his surprise she was just sitting in front of him. “cool….” He made a mischivious look and smirked.
Byunghun sat 2, 3 seats away from Kevin so he didn’t notice Noah. He was concentrating on the lecture.
Noah felt something on the nape of her neck. Since she had a bunned hairstyle, so Kevin attached the chewed bubble on the back of her neck. She touched the bubble and felt loathed. She detached it and looked at the chewed thing. She felt extremely annoyed and turned her head to look who’s behind. Kevin hid under the desk. She was surprised to see nobody there. She tore a small piece of paper and placed the bubble inside the paper, and then she threw it at the back. Kevin got hit by the piece.
Noah knew that someone sat behind her, so she waited for the class to end.
The class ended. But before she could turn around to see the culprit, she got a message from Byunghun.
“Don’t meet me when I am with a friend. I’ll tell you when I am free. I hope you understand.” She read the sms and texted him in agreement. She sighed and looked behind, but the culprit was already gone. She again exhaled.

“Aren’t you going to your friends?” Byunghun asked.
“ I know something’s fishy…” Kevin thought. “ I’ll go later. I should spend my time with you as well.” He said.
“Right…” Byunghun replied in an annoyed manner. “I hope you vanish, Kevin.” He whispered.
“Excuse me, are you Byunghun?” A girl from their class asked.
“Yes?”
“Will you form a study group with us for this week assignment on psychological disorders?” Tia asked.
“Sure.”
“Ummm and you?” Another girl pointed towards Kevin.
“Yeah… count me in…”
The girls checked the list they made.
“Woho… 6 members completed…” Tia said. “ Hana?” She whispered to the other girl. “This Kevin ranked 45th, we shouldn’t place him in our group.”
“Don’t worry, we have all the other high ranked students in our group. It doesn’t matter and besides, he’s cool.” Hana murmured.
“OK guys see you later.” Both waved and left.
“Hmmm… cute.” Kevin stared at both girls from head to toe.
Byunghun glared at him.
“What?” Kevin asked and shrugged his shoulders. “I praised them…” He again looked at both girls. “And that other girl is kinda sexy.”
“Sheesh… you and your dirty mind!” Byunghun taunted.
“Whatevaaaa…” Kevin said in front of his face and he pushed him away. “You jerk Byunghun.”
Byunghun used the opportunity and left. “Damn! That pathetic guy!” Kevin muttered.
Byunghun ran outside and looked around. He texted her to tell him about her location.
“Here I am dying and she isn’t replying… hurry up Noah…” He said in frustration. “I waited too much for this day.”
Kevin came out in search of Noah. He saw her walking down the road towards her house. It was silent as always.
“Oye!!!” Kevin yelled from behind. Noah turned her face back and saw him running towards her.
“Ya!!!” He reached Noah and started panting. He let out a deep breath.
“Do you need something?” She asked.
“Hi, I am Kevin.” He extended his hand towards her to shake hands with her. “What’s your name?”
“no-noah…” She mumbled but didn’t shake hands with him.
He placed his hand back into his pockets. “Sorry but I couldn’t hear you…”
She gulped. “K-Kwon No Ah.”
“Kawaiiii (in Japanese= cute)” Kevin said in a cute voice.
“Sorry?”
“I mean your name is cute like your face.”
“Eh?”
“Nevermind girl. Lets become friends.” He again extended his hand towards her and she looked at his hand with horrified looks.
"I won't eat you. promise. And besides, i live in the same direction, so lets go together." Kevin offered.
"Sorry... i 'll go on my own, btw, thanks." She said and turned.
"Wait!..... what about your answer to my question? Will you become my friend?"
She nodded and hurried towards her apartment.
Kevin smirked. His phone rang.
"Yeah??......... Where?........ ok, i'll be there in 15 minutes." He hung up and changed his direction.

I know its kinda boring, but i'll try to make it interesting in the next chapters, it needs time to develop. :)
