Cherries and Chocolates

Byunghun ran after her. “Where did you go???” When he couldn’t find her, he went to her apartment. He knocked hardly at the door and kept on ringing the bell like crazy.
“I am not going until you open the door.” He said that angrily.
The ahjumma next door came out. “Oye why are you disturbing the neighborhood? She hasn’t come yet.” As she said that, she looked at the boys extreme pain in the eyes. “You Ok?” She asked with concern.
“NO….” He yelled and left.
The next day before leaving for the university, ahjumma told her about Byunghun while giving her the cherries she loved.
After entering the university, she kept an eye on Byunghun and tried to hide from him. However, she had to take the classes. As she took her seat, Byunghun stared at her with a deathly glare. She gulped and she endured his intense stare during the whole class and when the class ended Noah rushed out, Byunghun couldn’t get to talk to her. She was extremely tired. She went home. She unlocked the door and entered the apartment. To her extreme shock she saw Kevin sitting like a boss just in front of her eyes.
“How did you enter?” She asked and then saw the keys in his hands while he was playing with them by swirling them around his fingers.
“So you did a good job today avoiding him.” He approved.
“Just get lost…” She murmered.
He stood up and went near her. “Is this a way to talk to your boyfriend?” He asked and Noah glared at him. “What do you think? Just acting for once wont make it. You have to do it everyday to make him believe it.” He said while leaning forward and lowering his face to her level.
“How did you get the keys when I have mine?” She asked.
“My dad always have keys for every apartment here…. So I took yours……”
“No…..”She whispered.
“So, play it… play your character of being my girl.” He stroked her cheeks.
“He’s not here… so stop touching me.” She pushed his hand away. Pain in her voice was obvious.
“Oh ho……… you love him that much?”
“You cant harass by using the excuse of acting in front of Byunghun…” She said.
“Why don’t you accept it as reality? Since it will look more real.”
“I hate you so,……. I cant.”
“I didn’t get your disease, so I am qualified to date you… right?”
She smiled. “You’re so confident… if you didn’t get it then….. you can get it later if you date me.”
“I don’t care.” He replied.
“Oh really?” She asked.
“Ofcourse…… because you are my life now.”
She glared. “What do you mean?”
“I love you.” He kissed her cheek and hugged her, trying to feel her body with his hands.
“Get away!”She pushed him away. “GET LOST…. I’ll call the police.”
He rolled his eyes and left.
The next day, Noah went to Jessica for her regular check up.
“You’re doing fine. Just take the medicines on time.”
“I do….” Noah replied.
“Go for now.”
“I want to thank you unnie…”
“I am doing this just because my umma loved you. Now go.” Jessica pointed towards the door and took off her surgical mask.
As she left the hospital, she saw the heavy rain dripping from sky. “Oh no…”
Kevin came in his car for his own check up when he spotted Noah standing outside.
“Damn…… I cant show myself to her here!! What should I do…… I should head back.” He said to himself but then after a sudden thought he drove forward in front of Noah. Noah stared at the car coming her way. The car stopped and the car’s window slid down. Kevin appeared.
“Not you again!” Noah sighed.
“I saw you here… I can take you home… Come in. You know I am not that bad.”
Noah stared at him but she didn’t have any other choice so she sat in front.
Kevin started driving.
“So… how was the check up?” He asked but Noah didn’t reply. She was staring outside.
“I am talking to you??? Noah???? Bi***”
She stared back at Kevin. “Stop the car…..”
“I am sorry… but you always respond when I call you that? I wont call you that anymore.”
“You said that before as well. And wait… where are you taking the car??” She asked as watching outside.
“Its just a short cut.” He smirked while taking another turn.
“Kevin please, stop it…. Stop the car….” Her voice trembled. She gulped back her tears. “I am tired of fighting back against you.” She put her hand on his arm. He stopped the car near a bus stand which was crowdless at the moment since no one was there due to the extreme rain.
“Go….” He said. She looked outside at the rain and then looked back at Kevin. She sighed and went out. Kevin started the car and drove it to a distance then stopped. Noah entered the shelter made for the waiting passengers with a small roof. However, the rain wetted her. She stood there and leaned against the wall.
“I’ll have to wait for the rain to stop.” She said and then saw Kevin standing in front of her. “But…. I mean you here???” She asked him. Kevin ran his fingers through his wet long hair and exhaled.
He rapidly smacked his hand on the wall near her face. “You don’t love me, right?” He murmured.
She felt her heart really heavy. She nodded in response.
“I’ll make you love just me and only me…”
“That won’t ha----“ She got interrupted through his kiss. “Kevin….forgive me and leave….” She pleaded as he detached his lips away. He dragged his fingers on her watery cheeks. He looked at her seductively. Her heart started beating loudly. He wrapped his arms across her waist and leaned in. She lost the strength to push him away. He placed his lips on her shoulders and pulled her bunned hair. He lifted his face up and planted a kiss on her moist neck. Her legs started shaking while her body feeling motionless.
“Noah….” He moaned out her name. He loosened her hair and stared into her eyes. “I am killing you…I know ….. right?” He smirked. She gulped and opened her mouth with the strength to say something but he locked his lips with her. He held her wrist with one hand and pressed it hardly as he deepen his kiss. Noah shut her eyes tightly. Neither the rain stopped, nor his seduction. She couldn’t handle it and sat down. Her lips were wet. “I---i---- will” She gulped as he sat down with her to listen what she has to say.
“Yes?”
“Its….. ge-tting cold.” She sniffed. His face was close to hers.
“I wont let you feel cold.” She whispered into her ear.
“God please save me.” She murmured as she closed her eyes with a tense look.
He glared at her. “I’ll still love you Noah….” He said.
“Then I pray to God that your fake love may wash away as the rain stops.” She opened her eyes and looked at him confidently. He grabbed her hand and made her sit inside the car. He shut the door and took his seat. He drove the car rapidly to her home.
