Flashback Pt.1
FLASHBACK (4 YEARS AGO)
“Kevin… be a good boy. Take care… umma loves you.” Kevin’s mother waved him goodbye.
He had a gloomy look on his face. He was always bullied by his classmates because of his girly appearance. After attending the classes, he was heading home. Some boys from his class were playing soccer. He stopped there staring at the game with desire to play it with them although he didn’t know much about the rules.
A boy caught his attention. By his uniform… it seemed like he belonged to another school. He was playing like a professional. Without knowing, Kevin went near the play ground and stood there. He smiled unintentionally while watching the match with interest.
“I wish I could play like him.” He thought while watching the boy’s moves and his tactics of playing the game.
The game came to an end after the other school won. Kevin was happy although his classmates lost the game. It was a friendly match between them. After the match, they were pushing each other lightly just for fun. Kevin desperately wanted to join; so, he stepped forward.
“Hey hey look who’s here!” One of his class mate smirked at him.
“Can I play?” Kevin asked innocently.
“Oh really!! Well does this girl even know how to play?” The boy teased him while closing in. Kevin pushed him away. “I AM NOT A GIRL!” He yelled. He was fed up of hearing this again and again.
“HOW DARE YOU PUSH ME!!?” He yelled back at Kevin.
The boy from the other school looked there way as he heard their yells. “Are they in an argument?” The boy murmured to himself while staring at the location.
Kevin’s classmates started punching and kicking him. He was just getting hit and was waiting for someone to help him. “They all just become viewers. They won’t come near to save me…” This thought rushed through his mind while being punched severely.
The boy felt bad for him but didn’t make a single move to save Kevin. Another short boy entered the scene. “Sorry guys… I am late… O looks like the match is over.” He said. He went near to the boys of his school.
“Hey… Eli? Why are you standing here? Did we win?” He asked excitedly.
“Ye… we did Byunghun” Eli replied to the short boy.
“Wait… why are they hitting him?” Byunghun asked worriedly.
“I think he yelled at them. Come on let’s go now…”
“Ani….” He denied and went towards Kevin. “Stop it!” He yelled.
“AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?” One of the boys called.
“Watch your words and be aware of your limits! Stop hitting him or else I’ll call my dad…. And he is a cop…. He’ll put all of you in prison.”
“O really?….. Call him then!” The same boy said arrogantly.
“Hey let’s stop….” Another coward boy suggested. The previous boy glared at Byunghun and they all left the place.
“Well no doubt they play well… but evil is still evil.” Byunghun looked down at Kevin and presented out his hand. Kevin grabbed his hand and got up weakly.
“Gamsa….” Kevin bowed.
“Oye oye oye…. Stop it……”
“Byunghun … you idiot! Lets go now…” Eli said while looking awkwardly at Kevin.
Kevin felt embarrassed at how impressed he was by Eli at first sight.
“Hey whats your name?” Byunghun asked and Eli did a face palm.
“I am--- S-sunghyun…..” He stuttered.
“Ok Sunghyun… see you tomorrow here.” He waved and left with Eli.
Kevin smiled and felt excited already. He forgot about the mud stains on his shirt and the bruises on his face, after meeting briefly with Byunghun. Atleast this get up made him look like a man.
The next day Byunghun arrived and saw Kevin standing there waiting for him.
“Didn’t your friend come today with you?” Kevin asked.
“He had some work to do. So, do you play soccer?” Byunghun asked.
“I know that there are 11 people who kick the ball between members and make a goal at the end but I’ve never tried.”
“Oh… so why not try today?”
“Jinja? Would you really teach me?”
“Ahan…” He nodded
Just through the game they became close friends. Eli often visited them and gave them some instructions on how to play the game well but he really wasn’t much interested in becoming friends with Kevin.
After playing the game, both exhausted and sat on the bench.
“Ahhhhh……”
“Are you really tired?” Kevin asked Byunghun.
‘Hhaha…. Not really…..”
“Here have some chocolate…”
Byunghun stared at the chocolate. “Well I’ll have some water.” He smiled and took out his water bottle.
“You don’t like chocolates?” Kevin asked.
“Not at a time like this…” He replied. He drank the whole bottle.
“Can we go to the same highschool?” Kevin asked.
“ne??????? uhhh well……..” He scratched the back of is head. “I cant afford that highschool….”
“I’ll go to the same highschool as you…. Since we are best friends now!!”
Byunghun looked at him with big eyes. “If that’s the case…. We will… sure.” Byunghun assured him and smiled.
“Tell me about yourself…” Kevin asked.
“Well… ummm…. I am 14 … soon gonna be 15…. And I live with my mother, a noona and 4 dongsaeng… all sisters. I am their only brother.” Byunghun paused.
“What about your father?”
“He died 2 years ago while chasing after the criminals.”
“Wow…. Your dad is cool.”
Byunghun smiled weakly.
“Any friends???” Kevin asked.
“Oh yes… its Eli and I think rest of the class. But you stand above all… since I get the pure fellowship feeling from you.”
“Ohhh I am glad.” Kevin blushed. “So… any girl you like?”
Byunghun blushed this time. “Ani… well I like a classmate haha…”
“Oh… is she cool?”
“Not at all…. She’s so quiet and arrogant… but one day I saw her helping a kid… and I …….” He paused and smiled. “Now you tell…..”
“Well… I live with my hyung and parents. My umma is american, so i have an english name Kevin. Well......My dad isn’t the one to be proud of. Because of his disinterest towards all of us… especially our umma…. There is always a ruckus in our house............... The boys in our class tease me of having the looks of a girl. And I have no friends. My favorite color is blue and I really like chocolates.” Kevin giggled.
“I think you’re cool…” Byunghun smiled at him.
“Jinjja?”
“Ye….. and the girl you like?” He asked.
Kevin’s smile suddenly vanished. He looked at Byunghun with a poker face. “ I am not a virgin…”
Byunghun stared at him and looked confused. Then after a few secs…his eyes bulged out and mouth opened.
“She’s my hyungs girlfriend but I like her too. So…..” He then looked at the astonished Byunghun.
“A-a-and what abo—ut your grades???” He stuttered and changed the topic.
“I am really good at it.”
“Oh that’s even cooler….Lets head home now….”
“Um…” Kevin nodded.

Since i started the story with Kevin... he is the main lead.
Well i, not always but most of the time develop 2nd lead syndrome... is its too hard for me to bear the hardships of the 2nd male lead. Even in the kdrama flower boy... i wished the 2nd lead ended with the girl but alas... that never happens :P
So, i thought of a story where the girl actually likes the 2nd lead more. And that is Byunghun..gif)

the last time I replied, i answered without thinking about it, now that i think it might look weird that i ended them up together but here are a few reasons

he was punished for all his wrong deeds that i've mentioned. like getting ill as well and being beaten up right after he... u know...
and then after he got immune, he still wanted to be with her...
so, she forgave him and thats how life is.
he learnt his lesson and besides she had no one in her life but him..
