Cherries and Chocolates

There was a complete peacefulness in the room. Kevin was lying in his bed while grabbing Noah’s hand who was sitting on the floor beside his bed. Noah felt a bit dizzy as she came to see him here as soon as she woke up. It should have been a free off day but she was destined to come here. The atmosphere was so boring and quiet. Noah was used to this kind of scenario but this was the extreme. So silent, so peaceful, so soothing, so relaxing, with a freshness in air despite being room of an ill boy.
His grip loosened as he went to dreamland. Noah disentangled her hand and lowered her head inside her folded arms. Sleep was knocking her eye-lids.

15 MINUTES LATER
Kevin slid his hand over Noah’s back. Current ran through her backbone.
“WHAT???” She asked as she was startled and turned her head back to face him.
“Noah…..” He moaned her name while looking at her like he was drunk.
“What????” She asked annoyingly.
He got a bit up from his pillow and vomited. The fluid dripped over Noah’s shoulder and ran down the front and back side of her body.
Noah bit her lower lip and looked away. She closed her eyes tightly.
“I-i…….ahhhh…..” Kevin still felt pain in his head. “I am sorryyy….” He said swiftly.
Noah gave him death glares.
“I said I am sorry.” He said weakly.
Noah called the maid to come over.
“You can take bath here…” Kevin suggested.
“I can’t…..”
“It’s alright…. Besides I’ve already did that… so even if you take bath here… it won’t have any effect.” He assured.
“Did you vomit on me …. Purposely?” She asked while hesitating.
“Huhh….” He sighed and didn’t reply.
She got up. “And my shirt is all filthy now….”
“Wear mine…”
“Eh???”
“Wear mine… take any of them from the wardrobe.”
The maid entered.
“You go… she’ll take care of me until you’re not here.” Kevin told her.
Noah turned towards the wardrobe and opened it. Opposite to what she expected, it was really neat and well organized, even cleaner than hers.
“I don’t have good feeling about this…” She thought and took out one of the shirts. She used Kevin’s bathroom to wash her shirt and her body.

After taking a bath she came out into the room. “I don’t want to believe this but this whole place gives so soothing sensation.” She said to herself.
Kevin was still lying in his bed. She came towards him.
“You came out earlier than I thought….” He said while looking at her.
“Did you wash your mouth after vomiting?”
“Am I a baby? Ofcourse……”
Noah glared at him. “It seems like you’re feeling better now. So, I should leave…. Right?”
“No…. who told you I am alright? Wait until Byunghun comes.”
She exhaled and went near the window. She held the window panes from her hands.
“I just want to go home as early as possible to get rid of this crazy shirt of his……” She looked at the shirt's pattern she was wearing.
Kevin glared at her from behind, looking at her back. “She has the potential to harm my friend…. Like she harmed me…. I won’t let Byunghun suffer like me ….” He got up and with soundless steps, reached her. He slowly back hugged her.
Noah was stunned. She didn’t respond due to the shock.
“Liar…. That’s what you always call me… and what do I call you?” He asked. “B.I.T.C.H…..” He answered himself. “Well I am really sorry for everything. I won’t call you a bit** anymore and won’t bother you unless it is related to Byunghun or the disease. Thanks to that tablet I am really fine now. I lied that I still wasn’t feeling good.” He whispered in her ear.
She rolled her eye balls in disgust. She removed his hands wrapping her and stood at a distance near the exit while glaring at him.
“Since you’re Byunghun-ie’s friend……. I am your friend too. So, that was thank you hug.Really…..”
She still didn’t reply.
“Ok… now break this silence…. Say something.” He said and took a few steps towards her.
“I don’t have any words to say to you… I should better leave.”
“Ani… you should at least wait for your boyfriend.” He leaned a bit closer to her and smirked.
The door opened and Byunghun appeared from behind it. Noah sensed him and with a jerk, walked away from Kevin in an instant.
“Ah… the boyfriend is finally here.” Kevin teased.
Byunghun grabbed his collar. “You lied?” He asked angrily.
“Oye…. Calm down…. I am fine now as I took the medicine.” He removed Byunghun’s hands over his collars.
“You alright?” Byunghun directed his sight towards Noah.
She just nodded.
“Well, we should leave then…” He said.
“You cant leave right away. Spend some time with me…. You and naoh…. Since we all are friends now…. Right?” Kevin asked.
“Huh…. Jinja???” Byunghun asked with squinted eyes.
“Ye…. Now don’t make excuses.” Kevin replied.
“It seems like you never were ill........ Take some rest. We can go out some other-----“
“ANI….” Noah accidently slipped out the word she wasn’t supposed to speak loud. “I mean… yes….. s-some ot-ther day.” She stuttered.
“Well, ofcourse… until you feel comfortable with me… since you’re my bestie’s gf…. You should be used to seeing me everyday annoying your bf….” Kevin made a cute face and pouted.
“Kevin…. You are impossible. Didn’t I tell you…. We are just friends.”
Kevin looked back at Noah and then turned to Byunghun. He smirked at him. “Then… can I have her?”
Kevin’s question made his blood boil. Noah stared at them with horrified looks.
“Don’t-ever-show me your face again… and yes I love her. So keep your distance from both of us!!!”
“But what about my illness?” Kevin asked.
Byunghun moved forward towards him. “There isn’t any illness.” He clenched his teeth. “And even if something happens to you, wait for her doctor to come back. I’ll ask her to assist you.” He glared at Kevin. “Lets go Noah…” He came forward and grabbed her hand. His attention diverted towards the shirt she was wearing. He glared at her. She slightly raised her head up to see his face but again bent her head after seeing his angry face.
“What did you do to her?” He directed towards Kevin.
“Huh… ask your love….” He taunted.
“He did nothing….” She looked at Byunghun fearfully.
“I’ll ask you later. Now, let’s go.” He tightened his grip over her hand and pulled her out of the room with force. He smacked the door. Kevin just stared at the close door and sighed helplessly. “Don’t…………………..
Don’t make your life more complicated. You already have much burden to get rid of…..” Kevin murmured.
As Byunghun pulled her through the hall, the maid smirked at Noah and made a questioning look. Noah just stared back at her while being dragged.

“Jebal….. Let go off my hand….” Noah whispered while tears reached her cheeks.
He still pulled her out of the house onto the wide silent street. He made her stand in front of him and grabbed her upper arms with his big bony hands.
“You’re hurting me.” Noah said while weeping.
He kept on glaring. “Why are you wearing his shirt?” He asked angrily.
Noah’s eyes bulged out and she gulped. “I-its mine.”
“Huh…..” He smiled in a taunting way. “So, that’s what you learned from him…… LYING!!! I know its his. WHO ARE YOU MAKING FOOL OF?” He almost yelled.
“Ahhh…. I am sorry but please don’t shout…. Please. He vomited on me….. I did what he said……”
He pushed her away and released her. “I am sick of it…..”
Noah glared at him with squinted eyes. “Wasn’t it you who actually asked me to take care of him?” She asked.
“That won’t happen again…..” He started looking elsewhere.
“Face me while saying that! You always say that you would hate him but then why do you always end up helping him again? …………………… Stop loving me………………. if you cant see him in trouble and cant leave him.” She wiped her tears.
“Noah…….” His tone became apologetic. “Look… He has helped me when I was in a big problem. He saved my dongsaeng’s life when she was about to die. He made all the arrangements for the hospital charges…….i cant………….. I couldn’t…….. just by thinking of it…..” He rubbed his forehead.
“Because of you, I forgot my bag there. Make sure to bring it to me. Annyeong.” She said and turned around.
He looked at her wrist which was red because he applied just too much force in rage.
“Noah…..” He whispered her name sweetly.
She tightly closed her eyes and bit her lower lip. “Now what???” She said to herself.
He walked a bit and stood behind her. She didn’t turn around to look at him. He softly held her hand through wrist and raised it. He placed a delightful kiss on the redness of her wrist which soothed that part a bit.
“Sorry….. But I won’t stop loving you.” He smirked at her. She disentangled her hand. She exhaled. The more she tried to avoid loving him, the more he moved one step forward which was making it hard for her to go back. She stood there for a little time to stabilize her. Then she left.
He smiled while watching her go. "You'll be mine." He murmed to himself and then felt embarrased at what he just said now.
