UNIVERSITY
Noah was walking towards the library after a long time. She suddenly stopped before bumping into someone. She looked slightly up. “I am sor----“ She stopped and stared at him.
Kevin glared back at her. There was a silent atmosphere, enveloping both of them. Without saying a second word, both went to opposite directions.
The scenes of that night started playing in Noah’s mind. She took out her water bottle and gulped all the water. She sat down on the bench.
“Can I sit with you?” A cute girl asked.
She nodded and wore her mask back.
“Why are you hiding your face?” She asked while settling down on the bench.
“Uh… I feel comfortable this way.”
“Haha..” Her laugh was decent and cute. “Well, can we become friends?”
Noah stared at her with amazement.
“Why are you so surprised? Well I am Bomi.” She presented her hand to shake it with Noah’s hand.
Noah stood up. “I am sorry. I need to go to library.” She turned around towards the library.
“You’re dating Kevin?” Bomi asked as she stood up and glared at her.
Noah startled and stopped. She slowly turned round to face Bomi. “Ani…”
Bomi stared at her for some time and then went close to her. “I am his ex.”
“Oh…” She again turned away.
“Wait… don’t fall for that prince. He isn’t anybody’s. He’ll be bored of you too.” Bomi said with a sad face.
Noah didn’t turn around this time but smiled. “That’s never gonna happen.” She replied and proceeded.
“I wish it was as easy as it seems to you, Noah…” Bomi said to herself.

Noah came out of the library. She smelled the fresh air and lowered her mask around her neck. She walked towards her class. She entered the empty class, as no one arrived there. 15 minutes were still left for the class to start. Noah took her seat and stared at the whole class. She always felt comfortable in the empty spaces.
Kevin entered the classroom. Their eyes met for a brief moment. Noah avoided his look. He took his usual seat behind Noah. Both remained silent for a long time. The third one to enter the class was Byunghun. As soon as Byunghun saw Kevin behind her, his blood rushed through his body and his anger elevated. He went to Kevin. Some other students entered the class as well, meanwhile.
“Get up…” Byunghun signaled Kevin to vacant the seat. Kevin stared at him for some time and got up. Noah felt embarrassed as some of the class mates were glaring at their direction. Kevin got up and Byunghun took his seat. Instead of taking another seat, Kevin moved towards the door and bumped into the lecturer.
“Wher are you going?” The lecturer asked.
“I don’t belong to this class.” Kevin said and rushed.
Byunghun face palmed. “He’s just so careless…… I better not see you around Noah anymore, Kevin, even if it was where you usually sit.” He whispered to himself.

Kevin took off his shirt to take shower. He felt some itching at his back. He turned his back towards the mirror and looked at it. There were a few hardly visible red spots. His eyes jammed at the spots. It was similar to those he saw on Noah’s body that night but these looked a bit mild. His cheeks started flushing because of the blood boiling within his veins. He came out of the washroom and locked his door. He began screaming to release the pressure built within him but screaming was not enough to repent for his wrong doings. He hated to shed tears but today, he couldn’t stop himself from crying out loud. His noises were echoing in the whole big house.
“Umma… whats wrong with him?” Jaehyuk asked about Kevin. “He’s scaring me.” He said while leaning closer into his mother’s lap.
She stroked his son’s hair lightly. “ My baby….” She kissed her forehead. “He’s playing a videogame.”
“I wanna join him too.”
“It’s for adults.”
Jaehyuk made a sad face.
“It is normal to behave like this after being kidnapped and tortured brutally for 2 days.” She thought.
“RANIA!!!” An old lady entered Kevin’s agassi’s room and yelled at her with astonished and worried looks.
“Si-eomonim….” Rania stood up as her mother in law stepped inside.
“MAKE HIM STOP….” She screamed.
“Please calm down…” Rania tried to keep her calm but her frustration increased. Jaehyuk was afraid of his grandmother. He hid himself in the bed with the blanket.
“Si-eomonim… come outside.” She grabbed the old lady’s hand and took her out of the room. “Look.. you go back to your room. I’ll go and look for him.”
Kevin’s mother grabbed her wrist tightly enough to break it. “YOU ARE LYING!!!”
Rania screamed.
Kevin heard the noise of his mother. He hurriedly came out and grabbed her umma from behind. Rania ran towards her room and locked it. She was panting. Her wrist looked red and it was hurting her.
“LEAVE ME!!! SUNGHYUN!!!” She didn’t stop screaming.
Kevin dragged his mentally retarded mother to her room. After locking it, he called her maid.
He glared at the maid. “I just want to slap you right now.” He said wile clenching his teeth. “Make sure, she never steps outside, or else… Agassi’s gonna die and you will be responsible. UNDERSTAND!!!!” He yelled at her.
She nodded fearfully and left.

NEXT DAY
Jessica was on her duty, checking her regular patients. She was done with her work.
“Ahhh….” She yawned. “Time to go back to home.” A smile crossed her lips. “I am glad umma’s not here.”
“Dr. Jessica” The nurse entered the room. “There’s a last patient.” She told her and then a young man entered the room.
Jessica made a poker face. “So… mister… have a seat.” She pointed towards the seat. The nurse went out of the room.
Instead of sitting, Kevin took his shirt off and showed his back to her. Jessica stared at it for a few seconds without being able to comprehend what he meant. Her eye brows suddenly rose in extreme shock.
“I raped your patient.” He said.
Jessica stood up. “How --- how did this happen?” She shook her head.
“Just do one thing…” He wore the shirt on again and looked at her. “Don’t tell her that I came here.”
“So, she doesn’t know that you were coming here? Huh…..” She sighed. “Why would she tell me? I am so angry right now.”
“A lady named Misook knows everything.”
“Oh wahhhh…..” Jessica was again amazed. “So, even my moter hid this important issue from me.”
“I came here, because I know you won’t tell her that the disease really transmitted to me. I’ll be so embarrassed if you tell her.”
She stood still and glared at him. “OK… Whats your name?” She asked.
“Woo SungHyun.”
“Omo… Woo Sung hyun? So, you’re the son of the building’s owner.” She smirked. “So, who seduced first?”
“I guess you don’t know her if you’re asking this type of question.”
She glared at him. “Fine… come to the main point now. Come with me.” She said and she performed some tests on him.
They came back to the office and took their respective seats.
“it’s milder than Noah’s….” She thought. “But it wouldn’t be ok to tell him that he might be cured… or else he won’t take it seriously….” “Kevin-sii… Is that what your English name is? Well, you need to take some precautions and the most important one is….. you cant have a relationship with any girl……… not even Noah…”
He stared at her. “Wae?”
“Like it transmitted to you, it can transmit to other girl and if it were Noah, you both can transmit the virus to your upcoming generation.”
“Is there no remedy?”
“No…. if you still form a relationship, I would not give you a second chance and will tell her.”
Kevin remained silent. “Any thing else?” He asked.
“Hmmm…. You need to isolate yourself from the world.”
Kevin felt guilty to the highest extent. He realized that Noah was living a very distorted life with no one to take care of her, complete lonliness, complete darkness and complete pain.

He sighed. He listened carefully to what she told her about the disease. He manipulated his situation and this was the worst that could happen to him.
