Cherries and Chocolates

“Noah…” Jessica stared at her. They were in her office.
“Your conditions are not normal.” She said and glared at Noah, sitting in front of her.
Jessica handed over her profile to her.
“But everything was alright before.” Noah said while checking out her file.
“Exactly, it was normal at the last check-up. Are you being careless again??”
“Ani… I took all the medications properly and at proper time.”
“Whats this?” Jessica pointed at the scar on her head. “You have to be careful. Your healing capability is weak. Well, how did you get it?”
“What?”
“This scar on your forehead.”
“Oh…. I –I slipped.”
“Hmmm…”
Noah stood up. “So, is there any other precaution?”
Jessica stared at her. “Well…” She stood up as well and went near Noah. “If there is something you’re hiding, tell me.”
“No…” She replied with hesitation.
“I am your doctor. You need to trust me.”
“Unnie… if anything different happens, I’ll inform you.” She assured her.
“Fine!” She went back to her seat.
Noah left her office. Jessica exhaled out. “I think I know nothing about her.” She thought.

CAFETERIA, UNIVERSITY
“Good, everyone’s here except that dumb. He always skips.” Shinwoo said. “Why did you ask him to enter the group in the first place?”
“I don’t know, it was Hana’s decision.” Tia bluntly said.
“Well, atleast he helped with the assignment.” Hana guarded Kevin.
Noah and Byunghun were quiet and looked gloomy.
“Oye, we’re doing a conversation here, Byunghun?” Shinwoo gained Byunghun's attention.
“Ah, yes… I am listening. Should I call him?” Byunghun suggested.
“Why not?” Hana said.
Noah didn’t want to face him again. She looked at Byunghun after he ended the call.
“He said he’ll be there in 10 minutes.”
“What a prince!” Tia taunted.
Noah’s eyes suddenly met Kevin’s who was sitting on a nearby table in such a position that he was only visible to her. He smirked at her. She looked away.
“To what extend can this man lie? I think there’s no limit.” Noah thought.
Byunghun also jumped in the conversation. Noah couldn’t concentrate at what they were discussing. All she could notice was Kevin’s sensual gaze fixated on her.
“What is he upto now?” She thought. “As long as Byunghun is here, he can’t do anything. I am sure of it.” She tried to comfort her. She checked the time on her cell phone. 10 minutes had already passed. She looked back at Kevin. His eyes were glued to her. He was drinking some juice. He took a sip and then licked his lips and bit his lower lip. He sent a flying kiss to her.
She looked away instantly.
“Is something wrong?” Tia asked as she saw her reflexive moment.
“Oh there comes Kevin…” Shinwoo pointed at Kevin who was standing behind Hana.
“Hey guys…” Kevin greeted everyone and waved especially to Noah. She ignored him. Kevin shrugged and dragged a chair to sit next to Hana.
Hana blushed. “We were waiting for you.” She was trying hard to hide her excitement.
Kevin noticed it. “Aww… that’s so sweet of you guys.” He stared at Hana.
“Now, come to the main point MR. KEVIN!” Tia said.
“Why not mam….” He smiled.
They discussed about their group project and ordered some food.
“Wow… that would be a lot of work…” Kevin said.
“Urgh…. Kevin….” Tia mumbled as she felt irritated. “Whats so good about him? Hana is head over heels for him.” She thought.
Kevin stared at Hana.
“Ah… is there something wrong, Kevin?” She asked cutely.
“You’re so cute.” Kevin replied and kissed her.
There was an air of surprise surrounding them. Noah stood up and glared at Kevin. Kevin looked back at Noah and raised both eyebrows as if he was confused at her sudden action. “Noah… what happened? Where are you going?” He asked right after kissing Hana. Hana’s cheeks were flushing red and she couldn’t focus on anything around her.
Noah turned around and left.
Byunghun stood up as well. “I’ll go after her. Please excuse me.”
“Well, talk to you later Hana.” Kevin patted her back.
“Uh… ah yes yes…” She smiled at him and he left as well.
“I think Noah was enraged because of Kevin’s act.” Shinwoo said.
“Maybe…” Tia replied indifferently.
“Tia….. pinch me…” Hana murmured to her friend.
Tia stared at her. “Don’t get so excited. Lets go.”

“Noah!” Byunghun called her.
Noah turned her head towards Byunghun.
“What was that?” Byunghun asked.
“What?”
“Why did you react like that?”
“First ask Kevin, why he did that?”
“ Perhaps he wanted to show that he won’t bother you anymore, since I had a talk with him.”
“Is this an appropriate way to express? He can kiss any girl out of nothing. What will Hana think?”
“I asked him to be with girls who like him.”
Noah turned around and walked away.
“I don’t understand you sometimes…” Byunghun said.

After a few hours, Noah walked to her apartment. In her way, she found a little playground. It was similar to the garden in Stockholm where she buried her cat. She entered the playground. There were a few swings in that ground. She sat at the edge of a huge log type rod like a straight see-saw. It was not a see-saw as it didn’t swing up and down. It was a bit above the ground held with some support below.
She felt happy with the calm and silent surrounding.
“Hi… Bit**” Kevin appeared.
“Urgh…” She murmured.
“You shocked me today.”
“You shocked me too.” Noah whispered.
“Really?” He sat in front of her, facing her directly.
“I thought you didn’t want to part with your friend. Don’t you remember what he said?” Noah said.
“You are splendid Noah… How can you involve my friend?” Kevin asked angrily.
“You are a fake friend!” She glared.
Kevin pushed her but she grabbed his shirt and he fell over her on the ground.
“Ahh…” Noah’s back hit the ground. She felt a heavy weight over her. “Get off Kevin.”
“Ahh… Why did you pull me?” He got up and wiped his shirt.
“Why did you push me?” She asked in defense while sitting. She felt a bit dizzy.
“You called me a fake friend! That was your punishment.” He folded his arms.
She got up from the ground and left the place.
“Huh… once a bit** always a bit**” Kevin stuck his tongue out at her.
His eyes moved at the object Naoh forgot to pick up when she fell.
“Look what we got here…” He picked up her cell phone in his hand. He smirked. “You shouldn’t have involved Byunghun…”
