Love Math

The magic show began. The magician came and showed some great tricks.
“Ok now for the next trick I need a candidate.” The magician said.
Yura tried to get up but Taekwoon grabbed her hand tightly while his body was trembling. Yura looked at him with eyes asking if something is wrong.
“You wanna go Yura ?” Hakyeon asked.
“Ah ani…” She replied while looking at Taekwoon with concern.
A lady from the crowd stood up and went to the stage.
“Oh cool here we have a beautiful candidate. We welcome you mam. The trick is simple. We’ll make you disappear for 2 minutes. So is it ok?”
“Yea sure…” The lady replied excitingly.
Taekwoon got up. “NO…” He yelled. Everyone diverted their eyes from the stage towards him.
“Oye… Leo…” Hakyeon scolded.
“Are you alright?” Yura asked worriedly.
“I SAID STOP…. YOU ALL ARE LIAR.” Taekwoon again yelled. This was the first time in Yura’s life that she heard him scream in such a loud voice.
Yura and Hakyeon got up of their seats and Hakyeon grabbed him. “Calm down… don’t act like a fool.”
“Leave me Hakyeon… I WARN YOU…. She’ll disappear for real. She won’t come back.” He screamed.
Yura held his hand and took him out of the sitting crowd. Hakyeon came with them.
“Yura leave me… I have to save her.” Taekwoon was forcing Yura to leave him but Hakyeon grabbed him again.
“Why don’t you understand Leo… nothing will happen. It’s a mere trick.” Hakyeon clarified.
“LIAR…. LIAAARRR… He said she would come back. He LIED… LEAVE ME HAKYEON… I NEED TO GO TO…” Suddenly Taekwoon’s lip movement got interrupted. Yura gave him a sweet kiss to make him stop screaming. Taekwoon's eyes protruded out but his rage disappeared.
Hakyeon blushed.“Lets get outta here.”
They went out and the magic show continued.
“I’ll bring juice.” Hakyeon got up and went to the stall.
They were alone sitting on the park bench. He was quiet as the grave.
“Ummm…. We have more time to spend together. So, lets go to some other place.

Please say something. I told you, your silence kills me.” Yura said.
Taekwoon stared at her and then smiled slightly. “Your kiss was unexpected.”
“Haha…. I treated shock with shock.” She bragged. “I wanted to comfort you… so, I thought it would be the best solution, and surprisingly, it worked.”
He again smiled weakly.
“You showed another side of your personality, I could never imagine of.” She said.
He glared at her.
“Do you have any bad experience, share it with me.” She requested.
Hakyeon came back with drinks. “Here, we go.” He sat with Yura and Taekwoon glared at him with squinted eyes. “You know Yura-shi… I’ve never seen him scream like that in my whole life.” He chuckled.
“Do you know me since childhood? We were together just for 3 years.” Taekwoon said with annoyance.
“Isn’t it enough to know someone within 3 years? Hann Yura-shi?” Hakyeon teased Taekwoon.
Yura nodded in agreement.
“So when did you guys married and how ?”
“Hakyeon-shi… he lied. We aren’t married.” Yura nullified Taekwoon’s previous statement.
“Oh so I was right about you being his girlfriend.” Hakyeon replied.
“Yura… you don’t know him. He annoys you until you surrender.” Taekwoon said.
“Haha cool…. I wonder how you tackled this …… Leo……shi of yours…” Yura said while laughing.
“You still have time Yura-shi… He isn’t suitable for a sweet lady like you.”
Yura grabbed Taekwoon’s arm. “It’s too late to go back now. I hope you find someone like that too, Hakyeon-shi.”
“How did you know? Well I envy you guys now.” Hakyeon said.
“This jealous guy!” Taekwoon thought.
“Do you live in Yongin as well?” Yura asked Hakyeon.
“Yup….”
“So you were Yuri unnie’s friend too?”
“Ye… how did you know?”
Taekwoon suddenly put his hand over Yura’s mouth. “I told her about our old days. She was inspired by Yuri.”
“Oh… but remove your hand from her mouth… did you want to say something Yura-shi?” Hakyeon asked.
“AH ani…. Ani…..” She replied hesitatingly. “Why would I be inspired?” She murmured.
“Yuri was awesome. No one was like her. We were so close but then… due to your Taekwoon … she disappeared from this world.”
“Eh? Due to him?” She asked confusingly.
“Yeah… Leo didn’t you tell her that as well? Hongbin, one of our friends, was selected to attend a seminar, but he became ill 2 days before, so Leo suggested Yuri to go in his place and even searched the nearest bus stop to reach that seminar. We were all so happy, as Yuri wanted to go so badly. Our teachers also agreed, but then…. A bomb blast occurred at the bus station and we lost her.” Hakyeon explained the whole situation.
Taekwoon placed his hand over his forehead in tension.
“Oh that’s so sad. May she rest in peace.” She said and smiled at Taekwoon. “Do you miss her?”
Taekwoon gave her a bewildered look.
“He was her fan Yura-shi… and you know what? You have some resemblance with Yuri… even your name is similar. Is that the reason you like her, Leo?”
“Hakyeon don’t say nonsense. You are making me angry.”
“Change your behavior Leo.” Hakyeon scolded like a hyung. “I gotta go now …”
“Please visit us sometime. It was fun talking with you. Here’s my number.”
“My pleasure Yura-shi. I wish you both a happy life together. Marry her soon Taekwoon, and don’t forget to invite me. Oh, and besides Hongbin has decided his date of marriage. Hope to meet you there.”
“Omo…” Yura said excitingly.
Hakyeon smiled. “You’ve got a nice girl Taekwoon. Seriously, its hard to believe she’s with a guy like you. Treat her well.”
“Don’t lecture me. I know what I should do and what I souldn’t." Taekwoon glared.
“Well then goodbye."
“Goodbye.” Yura waved and grabbed Taekwoon’s hand, lifted it up and made it wave too. “He is so much fun.”
“Why do you end up liking my friends more than me?” Taekwoon asked.
“Well because they like you so much and are worried about you. Yet you are always so mean to them.”
He remained quiet. “Let’s go home.” He said.
“OK…” She agreed. “I guess he isn’t feeling well.” She thought.
They went by the bus to the area where Yura’s apartment was. They were walking holding hands.
“Please tell me. What was that reaction for?”
“It has nothing to do with you.” He replied uninterestingly.
She stopped walking. “Tell me. I have all rights over you. So, tell me.”
“You’ve become so demanding…” He sighed. “When I was 4 years old, I went to a magic show with my mother. I wanted my umma to participate so she went for that disappearance trick. I don’t know but something went wrong. She disappeared for a whole day.”
“Ohh…. This is quite unbelievable.”
“Since then I remained quiet for most of the time and never demanded for anything. After a few years she completely disappeared.”
“Where did she disappear to?”
“She died of cancer.”
Yura became silent. “And what about your father?”
“Huh….” He smiled faintly. “Not everybody is lucky like you to have a caring father. I don’t know where he is now. I hope he’s living a healthy life.”
Yura gave him a sudden hug.
“Yura….. do you know where we are standing?”
“We’ll always be together. Forever and ever.”
He hugged her back. “No doubt.” He separated her. “Lets go.”
She nodded.
“Do you have anything else to ask? Anything about Yuri? Or something?” Taekwoon asked worriedly.
“Nope… nothing at all.” She smiled.
“is that the reason for your cold behavior? I wish I could read all of you. I love you.” She thought while walking and grabbed his hand more firmly. She slowly turned her face to look at his face and suddenly turned her face away. She was blushing, so she covered her face. “ The best feeling in the world for you could be when you look at him and he is already staring. This leaves your heart restless. This is what I am feeling right now.” She closed her eyes in excitement and smiled.
