Yura woke up and found herself alone in the bed. She got up and changed her dress which she brought with her. She went out of the room to search him. She took out her phone and called him.
“ne??” He asked after picking up.
“Where are you?”She asked.
“In the living room.”
She hung up and ran towards the living room. She found him lying on the couch. His eyes were closed with cell phone in one hand. She cleared her throat and he slightly opened his eyes.
“What are you doing here?” She asked with folded arms.
“You felt insecure with me… So I came here.” He slowly turned his eyes towards her.
“Lets go … to my apartment. I’ll make you a healthy breakfast. Get up and change.”
He got up and changed.
“We’ll walk. Its not too far.” She proposed the idea.
“Ahh…” He sighed.
“Don’t act like an old man.” Se taunted.
They both went out and started walking down the street.
“That Hongbin… I never know what he’s thinking.” Taekwoon said to himself.
“He’s a nice guy.”
“huh… Don’t you like him too much?” Taekwoon asked.
“Well just like you admired Yuri, I admire him and Jieun unnie…”
“Unnie?”
“Ye… Hongbin oppa and Jieun unnie.” She bragged.
“It feels like I am talking with a little girl.”
“I am a grown-up now.” She stuck out her tongue at him.
“I want to hold hands with you.”
“Wa-wae?” She asked hesitatingly.
“That’s what every couple do. Isnt it?” He looked at her. “But… I won’t go against your will.”
She looked back at him. “If we are a couple, then yes.”
He smiled and held her hand while walking.
“How come… You’re so tall. It’s so embarrassing walking with you.”
“You never noticed it before when I walked with you to the hostel.”
“We weren’t a couple back then.”
He chuckled.
“Although we weren’t even friends back then… but when you smile and laugh with me… I felt very lucky. I would always think whether any other person saw you this happy.” She said.
“When I realized my feelings for you… I thought meeting Yuri was just because you were going to be the most important person in my life. I thought that I admired Yuri because I would have to love you afterwards.”
“Really? So I am more important than unnie.” She asked.
He smiled but didn’t give any answer.
They reached her apartment and she unlocked the door. He looked around at the room.
“Please have a seat.” She directed him towards the sofa.
“Ani… I’ll help you in the kitchen.” He offered.
“Do you doubt my skills?”
“I don’t want to be parted from you.” He came closer and held her cheeks with his hand.
“Ah okk I understand.” She said and backed off. She looked away in embarrassment. “Uh lets go.”
He glared at her and followed her. “What are you going to make?”
“Cheese omelet.” She said excitingly. “I love it.” She smiled.
She made it and they both ate it together.
“Oh I forgot to ask you, you didn’t have work today?”
“I took a day off. I want to spend my day with you.”
“Ah…. Oh… OH…. Ok.”
“There’s an amusement park nearby.” He told her.
“An amusement park? You wanna go there?”
“I couldn’t think of any other place in one night.”
“Haha ok…” She agreed.
They finished the breakfast and went out. Yura insisted to go by bus, so they both got onto the bus. Both sat together.
“Yura!” Some girl from another seat saw Yura and waved to her.
“Oh Taeyeon-ah…” She waved back and turned to Taekwoon. “I’ll be back. Wait.”
Yura sat beside Taeyeon and Taeyeon’s child sat beside Taekwoon.
“Hang in there for a little while baby.” Taeyeon told her daughter and went back to Yura.
4 year old child awkwardly looked at Taekwoon and he looked back at the child with his usual poker face.
“Yura… long time no see!” Taeyeon complained.
“Well I could say the same. Who is that child?” Yura asked.
“My daughter.” Taeyeon replied.
“O she doesn’t resemble you.”
“Yeah she looks like her father.”
“Oh I see.”
“Yura your appearance has changed. You had this long hair when you were in high school.”
“Haha yea I cut ‘em.”
“You look cute either way. Did you come with that gentleman?”
“Gen-tle-man?” Yura asked surprisingly.
“Yeah...”
Yura nodded.
“Your boyfriend?” Taeyeon squinted her eyes.
“Probably.”
“Where did you find that piece?”
“From heaven I guess.”
“I am serious Yura dear. He’s totally cool. Where did you meet him?”
“Uhhh…. In my university.”
“He looks older than you…”
“Yeah he is…”
“Is he? Your senior?”
Yura gave a confused look. “Ani…”
“Then?”
“Well he was … umm… a professor…” Yura replied in a questioning tone.
“omo…” She gave an awkward look to Yura.
Yura slightly looked away and smiled weakly. The bus stopped.
“OK Yura see you later.” Many people got off the bus. Taeyeon looked around to see her daughter but both Taekwoon and her daughter were not in the bus.
“Yura…” She grabbed Yura’s wrist.
“Don’t worry. She’ll be with Gyoso… I mean with Taekwoon-shi.”
“Taekwoon who?”
“Just get off the bus. Hurry.” Yura guided her. They both got off the bus. Yura searched a bit with her eyes and found her daughter grabbing Taekwoon’s finger waiting for her mother.
“Mina… come to mama.” Taeyeon spread her arms.
“Bye…” Mina said to Taekwoon and ran to her mother. Taeyeon waved good bye to Yura and went on her way.
“Who was she?” Taekwoon asked.
“She used to live in our neighborhood before marriage.”
“She had a cute daughter.”
“Ye?” Yura glared at Taekwoon.
“Are you perhaps jealous?” He asked.
“I don’t know. Lets just go. I’ll take many rides there, with you.”
“um… sure.”
They went to the park. They took some rides together, the risky ones; played games and visited the stalls.
“OMG… this is so much fun.” Yura said.
“If you like it lets do it again someday.”
“Ok… but before ending it, lets see that magic show. I’ve always wanted to see some of those shows live.”
“No Yura. You cant. If you really want to, go there alone. I don’t like these shows.”
“Wae?” She asked.
“They play tricks and lie to the audience.” He presented his point of view.
“Well, that’s their job. Come on… just this time. Please?”
He thought for a while and then sighed. “OK.”
She seemed too excited to watch the magic show live but Taekwoon for some reason was reluctant to watch it. They went to the magic show and took their seats.
“Look who's here… LEO-shi” A guy sitting beside Yura called Taekwoon.
Taekwoon looked back at the guy. “Uh… what a drag!” He whispered.
“Do you remember me? I am Hakyeon. I used to tease you a lot during our high school days. Won’t you say anything just like old days?” He said and then Yura gained his attention. Yura saw him looking at her.
“Annyahaeseo…” Yura greeted him.
“OH… let me guess… I didn’t know you had a dongsaeng.” Hakyeon said excitingly.
Taekwoon glared at him and clenched his teeth. “Are you outta your mind? Would I come with my dongsaeng here to show her a magic show?” He said politely but in a cold manner.
“How come you got such a nice girlfriend?” Hakyeon theorized.
“She is my wife.” He said while looking at the stage.
Yura stared at Taekwoon in amazement.
“Omo… then I should introduce myself to her.” He then directed towards Yura. “Annyahaeseo. I am Hakyeon, and you’ve done a big mistake marrying him.”
She laughed in response. Taekwoon glared at her.
“I shouldn’t have come here.” Taekwoon said angrily.
“I am sorry.” Yura grabbed his hand.
Hakyeon smirked. “Oh well, treat her well Leo.”
“You are so hateful, Hakyeon.”
Hakyeon laughed in response. “You still hate the name I gave you?”
He didn’t respond.
“I think you are being really rude to your friend Leo-shi.” Yura said.
Taekwoon looked at her in astonishment.
“I am sorry Hakyeon-shi. He is really mean.”
“Nahhh I never mind him…Oh… the show is going to start.” Hakyeon said.
“Oh yes…” Yura thrilled. “OMG ….” She bit her lower lips in excitement.
