5 Months Is All It Takes...

She kept on staring at him and he stared at her back recognizing Jen again. Mark kept on staring how pretty and beautiful she became. Then Jen snapped out of her thoughts and saw that Mark's lower lip was cut bleeding.

Jen (*looks at his lip & says) : Your lip is bleeding.
Mark (*feels his lips & sees blood on his fingers) : Oh, it is.
Jen : im so sorry.
(*Caroline & Peter comes toward Jen)
Caroline : are you okay Jen ?
Jen (*looks over to Caroline & says) : i'll meet you guys in class, go first.
(*Caroline & Peter walked to class)
Mark : its no big deal, just go to class. I can find the nurses office.
Jen : its a big deal.

Jen grabbed his hand dragging him to a bench nearby and healed him. She pulled out a small bottle of alcohol and her first aid kit from her backpack. When she was doing that, he looked at her scared and started to ask her questions.

Jen (*takes out her first aid kit from her backpack)
Mark (*looks at her & says) : what are you doing ?
Jen (*takes out a cotton swab & pours a little alcohol on it)
Jen (*turns around & puts the cotton swab on his lips)
Mark (*twitches as he feels the pain in his lips & looks directly at Jen as she applies)
Mark (*has flashbacks when they were little & asks Jen) : Yoojung-ah.
Jen (*stops & looks up at Mark & says) : No one has ever called me that in 10 years.
Jen : I go by the name of Jenny or Jen now.
Jen (*puts on a small bandage on his lips & says) : all done.
Mark : How are you so good at these things ?
Jen : im really a clumsy person. (*smiles)
Mark (*laughs & says) : really ?
Jen : No, im kidding. Im a Medical Student here at UCLA.
Mark : you must be very smart. I remember you telling me about your dream.
Mark : do you still remember that ?
Jen : i remember everything that happened when we kids.
Jen : if you asked me, i will probably remember everything.
Mark : thats good.
Jen : we've moved on with our lives.
Mark : im really happy for you.
Jen : im happy for you too. i see that you have an interest in music.
Mark : yeah.
Jen : if you and GOT7 need a place to stay for the time being,
Jen : you are always welcomed at my house.
Mark : thanks but there is 7 of us and 2 of our managers. i wouldnt want to trouble you.
Jen : you guys can all fit at my house, trust me.
Jen : besides, living in a hotel in LA is very expensive for 5 months. you cant pay it off.
Mark : i'll think about it.
Jen (*smiles & says) : i should get to class. (*stands up)
Mark (*pulls Jen's arm making her stop)
Mark (*says) : Jenny, Im sorry that i didnt tell you about leaving.
Mark : once i left, i couldnt turn back.
Jen (*takes Mark's hand away & says) : I understand. I have to go.

Jen walked away to her class. She was half an hour late and her workshop professor stopped her when she was going into class.

Jen (*walks into her class like a ninja)
Professor (*hears Jen come into the class without looking at her)
Professor : So glad you could join us this afternoon Dr. Lee.
Jen (*stops, froze, says) : Im sorry. Something urgent came up, i wont be late next time.
Professor : we have began, take a seat.
Jen : yes, sir.

Jen went to her seat and listened to the workshop. At the same time, Mark went to the school offices to tell them that he has arrived and got his schedule for the next week. Then Mark went back to his manager's car and his manager saw that Mark had a bandage on the bottom of his lip and started to ask questions on the way back to the hotel.

Minho (*glances at Mark)
Minho (*sees the bandage on his face & asks while driving) : what happened ?
Mark (*in dreamland & snaps out of it) : Huh ?
Minho : its barely your first day here, did you get into a fight already ?
Mark : No. I accidently bumped into my childhood best friend just now.
Minho : who ? Yoojung ?
Mark : Ohhhh...
Minho : how is she ?
Mark : Good. She looks very pretty and she is a Medical Student.
Minho : Doctor ?
Mark : Yes. She is going to graduate soon.
Minho : just like you.
Mark : Oh ! She asked if we wanted to live her at her house.
Mark : She said that the hotels in LA are expensive if we stay long.
Minho : I think we should go live with her, its easier that way.
Minho : I can drive you and her to school everyday.
Minho : If she lets us stay then maybe we should do something in return for her.
Mark : what ?
Minho : umm.... cook and clean.
Mark : Okay. Should we buy a thank you gift when we move in there ?
Minho : we should !
Mark : Can we go buy it now and come back here so i can talk to Yoojung ?
Minho : alright.
Mark : she really didnt like it when i talked about the past.
Minho : why ?
Mark : i think she still feels sad that i left without saying anything.
Minho : there's only one way to find out.

Minho then drove off. After buying a gift for Jenny, Mark came back to see Jenny again to talk to her. After her class ended, her Professor wanted to talk to her so she stayed behind to talk to him.

Jenny (*scared & says) : You wanted to speak to me about something ?
Professor : What was really your reason for coming late to my class this afternoon ?
Professor : this isnt like you. You are always on time, what happen today ?
Jenny : I ran into an old friend of mine and its been awhile since ive seen him.
Professor : childhood best friend ?
Jenny : yeah. Your just a Professor, why do you care so much about your students ?
Professor : I want my good students to pass and become doctors.
Professor : you've always been a good student of mine since day 1.
Professor : i would love to see you go across that stage and graduate.
Professor : Do you have a plan afer you graduate Jenny ?
Jenny : I was thinking of going back to my hometown in Korea and
Jenny : open my own hospital.
Professor : thats a good idea but what if it doesnt work out ?
Jenny : i dont know yet.
Professor : i want you to consider working at my wive's hospital here
Professor : if you have no where to go.
Jenny : i'll definitely think about it.
Professor : thats 5 months worth of time.
Jenny : i got it. thank you.

After talking to her professor, she went to her car where she parked. She took out her car keys from her backpack and walked toward. She saw a guy figure facing her car and recognize that it was Mark. She came towards him and talked to him in front of her car.

Jen : your back.
Mark : Is it too late to accept the offer ?
Jen : you mean living at my house ?
Mark : yeah, is it too late ?
Jen : its never too late for anything.
Jen : I already said it, your welcomed at my house anytime.
Mark : but is there really space for 9 more people in your house ?
Jen : you dont trust me, do you ?
Jen : the last time i remember that you do trust me on anything.
Jen (*jokes around) : your thinking that my house is that small, huh ?
Mark (*smiles & says) : im not saying it like that Jenny.
Mark : i just think that if your living alone then maybe you have a small house.
Jen : not likely. (*smiles)
Jen : How soon do you want to move in ?
Mark : as soon as possible ?
Jen : Is tomorrow okay ? Im off tomorrow until the weekend.
Mark : tomorrow is fine.
Jen : why dont you guys meet me here at school tomorrow, same spot.
Jen : then we can follow each other to my house. Lets say 10AM ?
Mark : sounds good.
Jen (*looks at her phone & says) : I have to get going.
Mark : where is it that your always running off to ?
Jen : i have an internship to get to.
Mark (*smiles & says) : off you go then.
Jen (*nods her head & says) : i'll see you tomorrow.

Jen was off to her internship. Then Mark went back to Minho's car and drove back to the hotel to tell the guys. Minho gathered everyone in the living room of the suite hotel and told them about the good news with their other manager too.

Minho : So i want all of you to pack up your things by tomorrow morning.
Hyun Suk : Why ?
Minho : Mark met his old friend at school today when he was meeting with the Dean.
JB : old friend ? who ?
Mark : Lee Yoojung, Jenny Lee.
Jackson : The girl that you left behind ?
Mark : Ohhh...
Mark : She asked if we wanted to live with her for the months we're here.
Mark : she said that its very expensive in LA if we stay long in a hotel.
Jr. : how do you even know that she has space for all of us ?
Mark : she says she does. i believe everything she says because she's my best friend.
Mark : she never lies to me and shes honest about everything.
Youngjae : So your sure about this ? about Yoojung ?
Mark : Yes.
BamBam : what do we call her ? Yoojung ? Jenny ?
Mark : we can ask her if you want.
Yugyeom : Is she pretty hyung ?
Mark : You'll see tomorrow.
Minho : we are moving into her house tomorrow morning.
Minho : we are going to meet her at 10am.
Minho : so pack your things and we go right away tomorrow.

Couple hours later it was [9PM], Jenny had gotten off of her internship and drove home. When she got home, she washed up and went into the living room to do her homework in her pajamas. Then Jay came through the door and went into the living room to see Jenny. Jenny looked up and saw Jay coming towards her and he kissed her head when he came to her. Then Jay went into the kitchen and look into the fridge asking Jenny something while she was sitting there doing her homework.

Jay : Did you eat anything yet ? i'll cook you something.
Jenny : thats so nice of you but im not hungry.
Jay : i thought you were hungry.
Jenny : no.
Jay : there is something wrong, isnt there ?
Jenny what do you mean ?
Jay : i can hear it in your voice.
Jenny : well............. there is something i have to tell you.
Jay : what is it ?
Jenny : I found my childhood best friend today.
Jay : Mark ?
Jenny : yeah. Him and GOT7 is going to be living here with me for a while.
Jay : how long is that ?
Jenny : 5 months.
Jay : How did you exactly find him ?
Jenny : i didnt. we bumped into each other today when he was at my school.
Jenny : i told him that he was welcome in my house anytime.
Jay : what about me ? This isnt just him Jenny, its 7 guys under one roof with you.
Jay : how is that going to work ?
Jenny : technically, its 9 because they have 2 managers too.
Jay : Dont you remember the reason why we broke off the engagement ?
Jay : it was because of him. it took you long enough to forget about him.
Jay : dont you care how i feel about this ?
Jenny : its my house, my decision. FYI, ive known him much longer than you.
Jenny : i really care about him Jay and i want to be there when i still can.
Jenny : if you dont like this idea then leave.

Jay was so upset that he left her house right away. Then Jenny just sat there thinking about it and then made her way out to her backyard where it lead to the beach where she lives. She was sitting there thinking about what Jay had said and made her more depressed that he couldnt accept anything she had done. Then Caroline came walking on the side into the backyard of where Jenny was at and looked at her. Caroline saw how sad Jenny looked and went next to Jenny and questioned her.

Caroline : whats wrong Jenny ?
Jenny : How did you get here ?
Caroline : you didnt answer the front door so i figured that you'd be out here.
Jenny : Did you see Jay when you came here ?
Caroline : i did and he looked very upset.
Caroline : im guessing that you two fought about something.
Caroline (*comes to sit next to Jenny)
Jenny : You were right, GOT7 is here and Mark is back.
Caroline : im sorry Jen.
Jenny : It hurts to see him again.
Jenny : at the same time, i felt happy because he is healthy and well now.
Caroline : you can always wish for the best Jen.
Jenny : I know. Him, GOT7, and his two managers are going to stay here for 5 months.
Jenny : its just temporary. Can you help me out ?
Caroline : you want me to watch them ?
Jenny : i know that their grown up already but they still have a mind of a kid.
Jenny : i cant do it on my own, please Caroline.
Caroline : Okay. When are they moving in ?
Jenny : tomorrow morning at 10am.
Caroline : should we do something for them as a welcome home gift ?
Jenny : thats a good idea, but what exactly ?
Caroline : i'll think of something, i always do. (*smiles)
Caroline : dont worry, everything will be fine.
Jenny : thanks Caroline.
Caroline : i should head back, Peter is probably worried about me out so late.
Jenny : at least you have someone who worries about you.
Caroline : its nice to have him worried about me.
Caroline : I feel bad that im always teasing him but deep inside, i dont really mean it.
Caroline : i care for him, as friends of course.
Jenny : Uh huh....
Caroline : i should go. sleep early and tomorrow will come.

Caroline had already left leaving Jenny sitting there looking up at the beautiful sky towards the beach.
