Migeum sighed as she sank her feet into the sand, sitting on the towel that was laid out on the sand. It was summer vacation which means no more school, no more drama - just relaxation.
Her phone rings, and the first thing she hears when she picked up was, "YAH! MIGEUM! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
She winced from the scream and replied, "Mom, I'm in LA. I told you that, and plus I've been here for a week now."
"Oh, really? Oh, okay, have a nice break honey. Bye." She answered sheepishly.
Migeum rolled her eyes and chuckled, "'Kay, bye."
She put her phone down and leaned back, and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and breathed out. She blocked all the noise out, and everything was quiet. All that was heard was the soft breeze and the crash of the waves. Everything was peaceful and perfect until a delighted manly squeal was heard.
"AHAHAHA! I'm coming for you pigeon!"
Pigeon? Migeum opened her eyes to see a guy with dyed light brown blonde hair chasing a bird. Wait, isn't that a seagull?
The seagull flew away in her direction and he turns to her, watching the poor bird fly. He looks at her and smiles. Migeum's face flushes red and she could feel the butterflies in her stomach. He's so good-looking...
He grins at her and runs up to her. "Hi! My name is V, real name is Kim Taehyung, Taehyung Kim." He manages to say after some pauses with a cute accent.
Migeum smiles shyly, "Hi, Taehyung. Nice to meet you, I'm Migeum."
"Ah! Migeum, that's a pretty name." He says, sitting down next to her. "Are you Korean?"
She laughs and nod, "Yes, annyeong~"
He gives her an adorable eyesmile, "Ah, annyeong! I'm V, who is in a group called BTS. We're having a concert in a couple of days, I was wondering if you could attend?"
Taken aback, Migeum blinked, "Uh, sure. I guess I could."
"Great!" He exclaims, standing up, bringing her up with him. As she stood up, he took the towel laying on the sand and folded it up. He grabbed her hand and started walking to a couple of other boys. Electricity jolted up her arm and her stomach was filled with butterflies again.
"Yoongi-hyung!" He called out, waving to the boys with his free hand.
A boy waved back and as we approached them, Taehyung said, "Hyung, Migeum-ah is coming to our concert!"
"Migeum?" The other boy asked, looking at both her and Taehyung. "Hyung! Be careful, what if the media sees this? We'll be stuck in a scandal."
"Ah, it's okay Jungkookie~" Taehyung sang as he swung their intertwined hands, not noticing her bright red face. She had just met him, why is he showing so much skinship?
"Taehyung-ah, I don't think Migeum is okay though..." Yoongi (she presumes) says, pointing at her bright red face, "Are you okay? Are you feeling sick?"
Embarrassed, Migeum shakes her head, "No, I'm fine thank you."
Taehyung grinned, nodding and declares, "Say, Migeum-ah, would you like to come with us and meet the rest of our members?"
"Eh?" She asks, looking up at Taehyung, "Y-yeah, sure...?"
"Great! Let's go!" He lets go of her hand and runs off to a silver van.
Jungkook speeds off after his hyung, leaving Yoongi and Migeum. "Sorry about that, Migeum-ssi. Taehyung has a tendency of doing that a lot." Yoongi said, watching his dongsaengs push each other as they ran.
"It's okay, uh, Yoongi-ssi." Migeum says, "So, what style of music do you produce?"
"We make hip-hop, rap music," Suga says, smiling at her, "It's full of swag. You'll be amazed."
Migeum laughs and nods, "Of course, I'll be waiting to be amazed."
From afar, both of them heard, "YAH! HYUNG, STAY AWAY FROM MIGEUM! SHE'S MINE, I HAD HER FIRST!"
Yoongi laughed as Migeum flushed bright pink, covering her face. "Oh, yeah, Migeum." Suga started, as they started walking towards the van, "Taehyung likes you."
"E-eh?" Migeum looked at him with wide eyes, "How? I mean, we just met and everything."
Yoongi shakes his head, "No, you've just met us, but we've been seeing you since the start of the week. Taehyung has been watching you since you came here everyday. He said it was, 'love at first sight.' and so that's why he's been dragging us down to the beach everyday, just to see you."
Migeum was dumbfounded. She couldn't believe it, a person who called himself V, who's in a K-Pop group called BTS, likes her. She could feel her face heating up and sparks inside her stomach explode.
Yoongi smiled and said to himself, "I guess the feeling's mutual. Just wait 'till everyone knows. They're so adorable together."
As the weeks flew by, Migeum started to feel attached to BTS, mainly Taehyung. Little did she know that Taehyung and the boys were leaving for Korea that day. When she arrived at their dorm, it seemed like no-one had stayed there at all. She saw a person that lived in one of the other dorms and asked, "Hi, do you know where the boys in the dorm in front of you are?"
The guy nodded and replied, "Yeah, they left earlier this morning and are headed back for Korea."
Migeum's heart broke. They were going back to Korea and they didn't tell me? Taehyung didn't tell me...
Her eyesight suddenly blurred up, and she wiped the tears with her sleeve. She laughed bitterly, "Heh, I guess he didn't love me after all."
2 Years Later
Migeum found herself back at the same beach she had met Taehyung, without knowing. After she found out that BTS had left for Korea, not long after she went back to her hometown as well. Now, she's come back to LA after two years.
"Yay, it's summer vacation again." Migeum mumbled to herself sarcastically. She walked along the beach, staring at the sea. She sighed, shaking her thoughts about the strange alien guy she had met two years ago.
As she walked, she felt two muscular arms snake around her waist. She stopped walking and stood still. A pervert? Oh no! Omo, I'm going to die. I'm going to get raped. Why didn't I bring my pepper spray...? Stupid!
Her eyes widened as the person whispered huskily in her ear, "Look, jagiya. A pigeon."
She turned around, and whispered, "Taehyung..."
He grinned at her like he did two years ago, "The one and only."
Her eyes became blurry for the first time in two years, "Taehyung-ah..."
He smiled softly at her and brushed her tears away, "I'm sorry. I -- we didn't have time to tell you. Manager-hyung deleted your number from everyone's phone, so there was no way I could reach you."
She shook her head, smiling, "It's okay. You're here now aren't you?"
He nodded and engulfed her in a bear hug, lifting her up and spun her around. He put her down and kissed her. The kiss was long, but sweet and was filled with love.
He pulled away, and both of them were breathless, "I love you, Migeum-ah."
"I love you too, Taehyung."
"Hey you know what?"
"What?"
"You look like a butterfly with one wing."
