I'll be your light

“I finally got my whips back!” Kyung shouts in Yukwon’s face. He nearly falls off the couch. “You scared me Kyung.” He says. Kyung frolics around the building telling everyone about his whips. “What? It’s been four months already?” Yukwon says shocked. “Yes! Four long months!” Kyung says while pouting. Yukwon back tracks to the past in his mind. ‘How has four months passed without me realising?’ he thinks. He remembers taking English classes, modelling for Young Star, talking to Yijung, becoming friends with Yijung, coming over to Melinda’s apartment, becoming friends with Melinda, thinking about Melinda… He snaps back to reality. Is that all that has happened in four months? Not very exciting for a gangster. At least he has been getting to know Melinda more and more. Now that he knows more English, he can speak to her. Yukwon gets extra learning done with Minhyuk and he really appreciates it. He is just hanging out at one of the bases with Kyung, Jaehyo and Minhyuk. He’s going to eat dinner with Melinda, Yijung and some other people but other than that he is free the whole day. Jaehyo and Minhyuk suddenly approach him. Jaehyo clears his throat awkwardly. “Yukwon.” He says softly. He looks up to them. They whisper to each other before continuing. “What is this?” Minhyuk asks. He hands him a magazine, where he and Yijung are the front cover.


“I didn’t know you were a fan of Music Magazine.” Yukwon smirks. Minhyuk rolls his eyes while Jaehyo lets out a little laugh. “You’re on the front cover!” Minhyuk says astonished. Yukwon looks at the magazine cover. “Oh, looks like I am.” He smiles. Jaehyo’s and Minhyuk’s jaw drop and they look at each other in disbelief. “How are you so casual about this?” Minhyuk asks, snatching the magazine from Yukwon’s hands. “Why shouldn’t I be?” Yukwon asks, folding his arms across his chest and slouching in the couch. Jaehyo blows a raspberry and starts laughing. “Because… because… Jaehyo stop laughing this is serious!” Minhyuk says. He waves his hands in Jaehyo’s face in attempt to make him stop laughing but it only makes him laugh harder. “Why are you suddenly on a cover of a music magazine?” Minhyuk asks over the laughter. Yukwon shrugs his shoulders. “It’s not even a big deal.” Yukwon sighs. Minhyuk scoffs at Yukwon’s stubbornness and leaves after giving Jaehyo the magazine. Jaehyo sits on the arm of the couch and breathes deeply. He examines the front cover of Music Magazine. “You look good.” He says with a smile. “Thank you, I try.” Yukwon replies. “But not as good as me.” Jaehyo laughs. He messes up Yukwons hair and follows Minhyuk out. Yukwon is left with his thoughts, and Kyung who is sleeping peacefully in the hammock. He wonders why Minhyuk made such a big deal about him being on the magazine. He can model if he wants to. It’s not a big deal.
