Welcome To Cupcake City

“Hello and welcome to Cupcake City. My name is Mae Ryu and I will be your server for today. Would you like anything to drink?” Mae Ryu struggled to smile. Is was six months after her parents left her and her brother in Korea for a better life in America. She had been working at Cupcake City since she graduated from high school and Tae Ryu became a trainee at TS Entertainment. She sighed and looked at the window. She gasped when she saw B.A.P walk into the large café. Trying her best on not being seen by them, see quickly shuffled into the kitchen. “Yo Mae Mae! Here again?” Il Min teased. She violently shook her head and sighed. “I’m a mess around them. I have troubles talking to male idols, I don’t know why.” Mae Ryu cried. “Don’t worry Mae Mae. They’ll notice you someday. Now take these to table 3, seats 1 and 2. Come back for 3, 4, 5 and 6.” Il Min pushed Mae Ryu out of the kitchen smiling. “Fighting!” Il Min quickly went back into the kitchen and laughed. Carefully she went to table 3 and place down their food without making eye contact. “Hi there. I’m Zelo. What’s your name?” Zelo asked. “M-my n-name i-is Mae Ryu.” Mae Ryu blushed. She slowly stood up and avoided their stares. Mae Ryu quickly turned around and went back into the kitchen to get the rest of the food. “Are you okay? Is something wrong?” Him Chan asked. “I’m fine. Everything is okay sir.” Mae Ryu held her breath. “Excuse me? May we order now?” a customer waved his hand. “I’ll be right there!” Mae Ryu forced a smile.

“Finally finished with work. Time to go home and sleep.” Mae Ryu looked at her phone and saw that she had five unread text. All of them from her mom. She immediately deleted the message without reading them and walked to the bus stop. She looked up at the stars and thought of Himchan until the bus came. She sighed and got on the bus. She smiled to the bus driver and went the closet seat to the back door. Mae Ryu stared out the window and started to think of Tae Ryu. “I wonder if he’s home now. He’s probably hungry as usual.” Mae Ryu chuckled. She pushed the button for the bus to stop and got up from her seat. “Kamsahamnida ajoshi!” she called out before getting off the bus. “Shit its cold.” she ran to the buildings and walked into the elevator.

“I’m home!” Mae Ryu called as she entered the house. “Welcome back Mae Ryu. How’s work? They show up again?” Tae Ryu smiled. “Tae Ryu! Work is fine and yes they showed up again. Il Min made me serve them their orders today and I couldn’t talk properly.” Mae Ryu sighed. Tae Ryu kissed her forehead and laughed. “There’s food in the fridge sis!” Tae Ryu walked off to his room laughing. “You’re a jerk Tae Ryu!” Mae Ryu called out to him. “Saranghae.” Tae Ryu smiled. Mae Ryu walked to the kitchen and took out a bowl of kimchi and bulgogi. She warmed them up and turned on the TV to watch some reruns of the ‘Moon and Sun’ before passing out on the couch. Two hours later, someone had opened the door and turned off the TV. The figure picked up Mae Ryu and carried her to her dark purple room. He was hoping to see tons and tons of idol posters, but to his surprise, he found none He gently kissed her forehead and laid down on the couch. He looked around the small apartment, from his spot and saw a lot of trophies and pictures, but couldn’t make out who was in them.
