Days passed…

You have been feeling much much better. The memory of that night was slowly fading away and being replaced by the sweet company of the guys.

“Good morning Sunshine!” your ears almost burst on hearing the chorus of voice coming from your phone. You checked the time on your wall clock. -8:00 a.m.

“Guys isn’t it too early?” you rubbed your sleepy eyes. You haven’t got a single good sleep ever since summer started. You were always woken up by the ringing of your phone from the guys’ annoying calls. But your nuisance quickly disappears once you hear the cheerful happy voices of them greeting you.

“No time. Pack your stuff. And meet us outside.” A voice commanded. You just gave a suspicious look.

“Why?” you asked.

“Just meet us outside in…30 minutes. And wear something summer-y” Then they hang up.
‘What the heck?’ The guys were always like this. Planning things without your consent, telling you what to do. They are just bossy sometimes. But nevertheless, you had no choice but to do what they say. Even if you reject there offer or refuse to do so, they had many ideas of blackmailing you. So, no use.

“Summery, huh?” you looked from right to left inside your closet. ‘What are they up to now?!’ you thought as you grabbed a transparent white flower blouse. You ‘digged’ more to the pile of clothes and found your white tube. “This seems summery. Just pair it with short jeans then were good.” You said to yourself.

After minutes of preparation, you were already packing your stuff. Which was hard since you don’t know what the heck you were about to do today. You just grabbed a pair of sunglasses, some money and extra t-shirt just in case. ‘Ok, I’m all set.’ Just as you were about to go downstairs, the ever familiar sound of your phone ringing broke in.

“I’m already ready.” You spoke.

“So are we, like…10 minutes ago.” Your eyes widen in shock upon hearing them. ’10 minutes ago?’ You quickly headed downstairs. You were just a few steps away from opening the door when…

“And where are you going young lady?” a voice stopped you. You turned you head around to see your father whose arms were crossed and looking at you with suspicious looks.
“I-ah, uhm…Hanging out with friends.” You flashed an innocent smile.

“What? You usually just lock yourself at home on summers. What happened?” he slowly approached you giving a more serious look.

“I have friends now so…Bye!” you stormed outside the house. ‘Phew, that was close!’ you thought. You can’t believe your dad had noticed that you have changed your daily routine. It was nice to know yet unsafe. Now that he has all eyes on you, you got to be extra careful. You were met by the familiar limousine, but no sign of Exo. You looked around to check well, but no, they weren’t there.

“Hey there Thunshine!” a hand pulled you from behind. The face of Sehun met yours. You just gave out your usual poker face. The guys sure can surprise you.

“Ah Sehun! Stay away!” Chen pulled him away from you. Now you see the whole group right there in front of you. All of them were wearing t-shirts and pedals and sunglasses, which made them look more appealing than they already are. A summer look indeed. A smile escaped from your lips.

“Hey Shin-Hee! You look great.” He eyed you from eye to toe which made you blush. “Come on now, let’s go!” Kris’ big yet comfortable hands held yours and dragged you to the limousine.
The other guys followed. But before everyone could be inside the vehicle, here comes again the usual conflict of who’s going to sit beside you. The guys were shoving each other until finally Chanyeol decides it by rock-paper-scissors. At the end, Luhan and Lay gets to sit beside you, which you accepted neutrally.

“Where are we going now?” you crossed your arms, eyeing the 12 guys.

“Since it’s summer…Let’s start the summer nicely.” Baekhyun answered.

“Yeah, nicely.” You said sarcastically. Your summer somehow started as a disaster thanks to them. But it wasn’t really there fault for trying to make you happy. Silence passed as you travelled to this place, wherever you were going. You were starting to feel a bit stuffy because of the boredom. Until finally, you arrived at the destination. You were the first to get out of the car due to curiosity. As soon as you did, your mouth fell openon what you saw.

Shimmering brown sand, the beautiful sea glimmering with the sun’s rays, bright blue sky. It was the beach. The most beautiful beach you’ve seen in your life. Everything about it was beautiful. A cool fresh breeze blew from behind.

“Woah! This is awesome!” a huge smile grew in your face.

“I knew she’d like it!” Baekhyun cheered. Slowly, the other guys went out the car and joined you feasting their eyes with the spectacular view.

“Woah…so cool.” Tao took his phone out from his pocket and took a selca.

“Hey, let me join too!” Chanyeol whined. The rest of the guys joined the shoot while you just stood from behind trying to avoid the view.

“Hey Shin-Hee. Come join us.” Kai encouraged. But you just shook yourhead to deny the offer.
“I don’t do…pictures.” You mumbled. They just gave a look of disbelief.

“Just come here.” All of a sudden, Chen pulled you to him. “Now look at the camera…” he ordered as he pointed to the phone which was being held by Tao. “And…SMILE!” he flashed a huge smile on his face. You just ignored him and looked away. As soon as you heard the shutter sound come off, you immediately shrugged off away from him.

“Anyways, what are we still doing here? Let’s go!” Suho exclaimed. The rest of the guys started cheering and shouting and racing to the shore. You can’t help but giggle at the thought that they look like little boys playing.

“Come on Shin Hee!” Sehun grabbed your hand, which surprised you a lot, and dragged you to some shady spot on the shore where the guys camped. The rough sand slowly lingered to your feet, hot rays from the sun making its way to your skin, and the laughter of people was heard everywhere. Summer was truly in the air, and for the first time in forever, you were actually spending some real time with it.

The guys were busy unloading the stuff from the car. So while waiting, you just sat beside Kris who was already lying down on the foldable chair that he already set up on his own. Because he was wearing glasses, you can’t actually see if he was just lying down or sleeping at all. You drew closer to him, and as you did, the more you get captivated by his charms. He looked so relaxed and peaceful, the side of him you never got to see. Without you knowing it, your face drew closer to him. Until all of a sudden…

“Hey there!” he surprised. You gasped in shock and almost fell back. “Got you good.” He chuckled.

“Yeah you did.” You laughed nervously. ‘Oh my God! He wasn’t asleep!’ You mentally facepalmed yourself for staring at him for a long time, it was really embarrassing. You took a seat across him.

“So…what do you think?” he asked, crossing his arms on his chest still lying down. You just gave out a puzzled look. “I mean this…” he took off his glasses and eyed the sparkling beach in front of you.

‘Perfect.’ It was the word that describes everything. There was nothing better than hanging out with your 12 best and only friends in the world out on the open. It was like you were in heaven. Nothing could have been better. This was your first summer out of the house, and the best so far. “It’s ok.” You lied, you don’t want to flatter them too much.

“Good. We prepared this day just for you.” He said coolly. You scoffed, but on the inside it made your heart lighten on hearing his words. They prepared this just for you. See? That was the reason you loved all of them at the same time. They were always there for you, they made you feel that you weren’t alone in this world, but most of all…they loved you for who you are.

“Hey!” a voice yelled from behind which made you snap out from your thoughts. You turned around to see Sehun who was pointing at the two of you. “Don’t even think about it hyung!”
You chuckled. The rest of the guys finally arrived, each of them with something on their hand. Chairs, mats, umbrellas, and a 2 big baskets full of food, you guessed.

While the other guys were already out of the open playing (except for Kris who was already sound asleep), you felt kind of useless just sitting around there doing nothing. SO you looked around for something to do to make yourself useful. You saw a bag of rolled mats. ‘Everyone’s gonna rest soon, so might as well unroll them.’ You thought. You started unrolling them on the ground one by one.

“Here, let me help.” Someone offered. Before you could even turn around, Kyungsoo kneeled down and helped you.

“Thanks.”

“Anything for you.” He smiled. Then one by one, you started unrolling the mats with him. The two of you were already having fun, when you felt trickles of sand jump to your back. You turned around to see Baekhyun and Chanyeol who were smiling innocently.

“Who threw the sand?” Kyungsoo stood up rubbing his back looking furious with anger. The other two just laughed nervously and pointed at each other. After a second, the two guys ran like no tomorrow along the shore, whom D.O. ran after right away.

“I’m gonna get the both of you!” you could actually hear him scream which made you laugh. They really looked like little kids.

“Hey Shin Hee. Let’s go play volleyball!” Sehun called, he was with Luhan, Lay and Tao. Hey were all waving for your attention.

“No thanks!” you shook your head as you shouted back. You weren’t really an athletic person, you do sports but only when you really have to, like physical education. You could actually see a frown form from their faces at your response.

“Guys gather up!” Suho shouted which grabbed everyone’s attention. Then everyone started storming towards him. Well, most of them at you. Your body shivered as you felt a hand holding yours. You looked at your back to see who it was. ‘Kai –seems innocent, Tao –just looking at Suho, Yixing…’ He flashed a wink at you. You lowered your head to trail the path of Lay’s arm, and no doubt, it was his hand holding yours. You just gave him a death glare and shrugged off his hand.

“Before we eat, let’s play a little game. I want this to be a great day for Shin Hee.” He announced. The guys cheered like little kids as they eyed you. You just rolled your eyes along with a snicker. But on the inside, you felt butterflies flying in your stomach as you know that everything they prepared for this day was for your sake.

“I know! Let’s play tag!” Sehun raised his hand.

“No! It’s too tiring.” Kyungsoo scolded which made the maknae frown.

“Ok…Think of something!” Chanyeol encouraged. Then for 5 minutes, you all stood there thinking of a game to play. Well, except you that is. For the past five minutes, you have just been blankly gazing at the sea horizon. “The sea is so beautiful.” You whispered to yourself, and sighed.

“Well not as beautiful as you.” A voice came from behind. You saw Chen who was innocently doodling on the sand. Before you could even react to what he said…

“Screw it! Let’s just play rock-paper-scissors!” Chanyeol screamed who can’t take the 5-minute boredom anymore. Everyone seemed to agree and slowly stood up, then they started placing their hands on top of each other. You just waited for all of them to finish before you could place your hand on top. You don’t want to get sandwiched by 12 hands, right? When they did, you slowly placed your hand on top of Tao’s which flinched lightly. Then a smile began forming on his lips.

“Well now that just seems unfair.” Baekhyun commented, and withdrawed his hand from the stack and placed it on top of yours. An electric ripple made its way from your hand throughout your body. “That’s better.” He snickered. You saw everyone’s opposing reaction.

“Better? But this one is the best.” Luhan withdrew his hand too and pushed Baekhyun’s hand away and placed it on top of yours. Your honestly felt your heart stop for a second when he did. Now all the guys started fighting over who would place his hand on top of yours.

“OK! OK! Stop!” you shouted which made everyone froze in place. “I’ll just place my hand here so it’ll be fair.” You mumbled as you levitated your hand an inch away from the others. Seemingly contented with what you done, Chanyeol finally spoke.

“Ok. Rock. Paper.” He started. “LoserGetsToSwimOnTheOcean…”

“What?!” you interjected. But before you could even protest…

“SCISSORS!” he finished. Now everyone’s hands were on shape, including yours. You still can’t believe on the punishment. He should’ve warned you at least. Eyeing the hands, you see the majority of it was rock, which was unfortunately not yours, leaving only you, Sehun, Luhan, Kai and D.O. You took a deep sigh of relief to know that you finally finished the game.

“Ok you guys start rock-paper-scissors.” Chanyeol commanded. You guys immediately followed. Your heart was beating crazily in anxiety and nervousness. No way would you drown yourself at the sea! You showed a paper which was still not majority, leaving you, Sehun and Kai.

“Oh~ This is getting excited.” Chen smirked. “Ok, continue…” he chuckled. You shot him a death glare first and played. Now it was only you and Kai. Now you were going crazy! ‘There is no way I would lose to be there!’ But at the end you lost to Kai. You felt yourself on the inside screaming for help. ‘This is not happening. This is not happening!’ Then you were slowly being dragged and shoved towards the shore.

“SWIM! SWIM! SWIM! SWIM!” they cheered. You just gave them a furious look of anger. No, you weren’t angry at them. You just didn’t want to lose and end up being punished for no legit reason. You dipped your toe on the water being washed the shore side. And it was cold…at least for you.

“I’m not gonna do it.” You muttered.

“Yes you are!” they screamed.

“No! The water is…friggin’ cold!” you excused. They looked at each other, then back at you.
“Well, in that case…” Luhan stepped forward. “I’ll go with you.”

You were quite taken aback for what he said. ‘Is he serious?’ Now you began mentally regretting what you said.

“No, I’m just kidding.” You laughed nervously. “I’ll go by myself.”

“No. I’m going with you.” He stood beside you and held your hand. “We’ll do this…together.” You could actually hear him gulp. Now it can’t be helped. He actually volunteered to go with you. On the outside you seemed upset, but in reality you were surprised.

“Hey hyung that’s illegal!” Sehun pointed at your intertwined hands with Luhan. But instead of shrugging it off, you gripped it tighter, feeling ready to enjoy the cool sea.

“Haha. No it isn’t.” he grinned.

“Well in that case…” Sehun held your free left hand. “I’ll go with you too.” Great. Now two guys! Why are they doing this, you’re the one getting punished for losing here.

“I’ll go to!” Chen volunteered.

“Count me in!” Tao held Sehun’s hand. Now soon everyone was holding each other’s hand and facing the sea.

“I thought I was the only one getting punished!” you exclaimed. They just looked at each other.
“On second thought… We’ll do this together.” Suho beamed. ‘So much for the game.’

“Ok on 4…” Chanyeol started counting down. You felt your breath become tighter. “3…” your feet shaking lightly. “2…” you held both of their hands tighter. “1!”

As soon as he said it, your body began moving on its own. You started sprinting towards the waves that splashed across the shore. Your feet shivered as you felt your skin come in contact with the water. It was cool, refreshing…and it somehow made your body feel light. Your hands let go of the two hands you gripped on. Now you were free. The sea breeze blew across your face, it was a feeling of heaven.

“Whoooo~!” you heard voices shout and cheer. You saw a huge wave coming towards you which made you back off a couple steps back. The guys were still there enjoying the time of their lives. And so did you! You silently headed back to the spot you camped and took a seat. You can’t help but giggle at the view of the guys playing with each other, splashing water across their faces. It took them only a minute until to finally realize you were gone.

“Where’s Shin Hee?” Xiumin asked. You just covered your mouth before you could say anything that will grab their attention. They look like lost little kittens as they looked from right to left to find you, until somebody finally spotted you.

“There she is!” Baekhyun pointed at you. You waved your hands at them.

“Which reminds me…” D.O. walked back to the shore. “GUYS LET’S ALL EAT!” he shouted at them. Then next thing you know, the guys were racing with each other towards your spot. Kyungsoo and Chen started handling out plates and jjajangmyeon to everyone.

“And one for the princess…” Chen said as he handed you a plate full of jjajangmyeon.
“This is good!” Tao mumbled as he slurped a pasta. Looking convinced enough, you took a bite of the food also.

“Woah! I love this!” and you weren’t kidding. This was the best jjajangmyeon you tasted. You took another forkful of it and shoved it on your mouth. The other guys just chuckled.

“So you love it huh?” Kris, being the cold-guy that he is, asked you. You nodded your head and slurped. “But who do you love among us?”

You froze. Now the guys were shooting death glares at Kris, and then turned back to you. ‘I’m sorry did I hear you right?’ the question was just out of the blue. You almost choked.

“I’m sorry, what?” you rubbed your throat to make sure you don’t choke on the noodle you were eating.

“You heard me.” Kris chuckled. You began to mentally panic. ‘He was seriously asking that question!’ your mind thought of thousands of answers but only one came to your mind, and it manged to slip out from your lips

“All of you.” You mumbled. The rest of the guys drew their faces together closer to you. “I said all of you.” Your tone a bit louder. Then everyone finally scrammed back to their places. An awkward silence passed by. ‘Why did I say that?!’ you regretted. Of all the answers, why that one? ‘Now they are gonna fight again. Now they are gonna hate me. Gosh, I hate myself.’ The tension grew higher until finally someone broke it.

“I thought you said my name.” Chanyeol chuckled. The rest of them just followed also. You just laughed nervously.

“Well, if she were gonna say anything that would be my name.” Bakhyun coughed in. Now everyone was arguing about it. But this time, it was in a more lively mood. Usually, it would be a more serious, but not dead serious, argument.

“But hey! She says all of us, so I guess that’s all of us.” Kyungsoo said.

“Yeah~” Then another silence followed, but this time more comfortable. It was nice to know they weren’t pressuring you about this. That they still care on what you have to say and on what you feel.

-EXO’s P.O.V.-

Another dead air passed. ‘Damn you Kris!’ was on each of the guy’ mind. Well except for Kris that is who was laughing on the inside seeing the guys’ reaction.

‘Hmmm…I wished she said my name.’ Tao sighed.

‘She has feelings for me, I know it.’ Kai smirked.

‘Just once she will reciprocate what I feel.’ Suho thought.

Everyone has a different thought in each of their mind, but one intention, -to ask who she really likes best among them. For once on their entire lives they were competing among each other. Usually, they would think of themselves as equal with each other. Each of them has one particular field professing on. Rapping, singing, dancing –each of them was an ace on a talent. But when it comes to love, they all crossed the line. They can’t share one girl at the same time –that would be odd! This time they would do whatever it takes for them to get the one they love.

The guys eyed the beaming girl in front of there. She was as lovely as always even if they were dead tired playing the entire day since they came. She still looked lively and refreshed. Then they eyed each other. Shooting piercing cold stares at the guys in front of him. Once again, they were thinking of the same thing. It happened once when they found out they all liked Shin Hee, and it was happening again. Each of them knew what they were thinking about –to ask her the truth. Then out of the blue…

“SHIN HEE WHO DO YOU REALLY LIKE THE BEST?!” they all chorused. The girl in front of them gasped. Once again they shot death glares at each other. ‘I asked her first!’ they thought. The girl remained speechless in shock. Her lips were parted but no word escaped from her lips. They gulped. They started regretting asking her, now she was gonna avoid them for life!

“I…” she spoke softly. The guys drew their faces closer to the girl whose cheeks turned red. She twiddled her fingers in nervousness. “LIKE YOU ALL EQUALLY! WHY CAN’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT!” her tone wasn’t an angry one, but rather more like a confession. She lowered his head. They sat silent, none of them expected the sudden outburst. But still, they can’t convince her to choose at least one of them.

“Prove it.” Chanyeol muttered. He didn’t really mean what he said, he just got carried away because eof the thousands of thoughts clouding his brain. ‘Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Hope she didn’t hear it.’

“Sure!” she beamed. ‘Oh no! She heard!’ he mentally panicked. Now everyone began shooting death glares at Chanyeol who just smiled innocently. When they turned their heads back, the girl wasn’t there anymore. But rather they saw her running towards the shore. It was already sundown, the skies became light hint of warm colors. The sea reflected the beautiful scheme. It was a beautiful scene, yet then back to reality. They saw the girl running towards the shore, then without thinking twice, they left the spot and started following her, making sure she wasn’t up to something that would put her in danger. And it was the last thing they wanted.

“Shin Hee! Where are you going!” Xiumin yelled as he sprinted towards there.

“Come back here!” Chanyeol screamed. “I didn’t mean it!”

“I LIKE YOU EXO!” they froze in place upon hearing her words. ‘Wait, did she just say what I think she said?’

“I LIKE YOU EXO, ALL OF YOU!” she continued yelling to the distant horizons.Their jaw dropped open. ‘She really did say it!’ “I LIKE EVERY ONE OF YOU EQUALLY. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS!” she continued.

She actually said everything that was coming out from her heart. They felt their heart beating crazily as they looked at her. Her hair was being blown by the cool night breeze, seawater reached her knees, her face that glowed in the dark. She was perfect in their eyes, and they were lucky to be loved by someone like her. ‘She likes me.’ They thought. ‘SHE ACTUALLY LIKES ME!’ a big smile formed on the corner of each male’s lips. Then they looked at each other, this time with a bright expression. Then they chased their way to the shore to meet her. Laughters and cheers came from them as they ran to her.

“WE LOVE YOU SEUNG SHIN HEE!” they all shouted to the horizon. The girl can’t help but burst into giggles.

“Come here you guys!” she motioned them to co press and then she stretched her arms wide for a hug which the guys gladly returned. It lasted for a couple of seconds until they broke free.

After what seemed the happiest moment of the boys’ lives, they sat by the shore together and watched the sun set. No day could have been better than that one. At that time their world revolved around one girl only, one girl –YOU. It was a day filled with memories and moments, a day to be cherished forever by their hearts, it will always be a summer to remember.

A/N: I know, I know…My inspiration in this chapter is actually the EXO Showtime Ep. 5 when they went to the winter sea. :D Sorry, it was just keep popping on my mind so I decided to write about it. But I do hope you like it! :) I really did my best on this one.
