“Lay, did you sent our report to—“
“Yes, I did (y/n). Don’t worry, I finished it last night.” Just then, the teacher called us.
We both walked to the front and began presenting.

“Since we had to present on the Aztec Civilization…” I began. “The Aztecs believed in many gods, and dying in battle was less worthy than being sacrificed. Overall, the Aztecs are very strange people and …. Yea.” Lay finished. We both went back to our seats. “Wow, I’m so nervous. I wonder if we did well. Do you think so??” I asked kinda freaking out. I really need this grade.

“Calm down (y/n). We did fine.” “Lunch time everyone!!” The teacher called and we left. “Let me guess, you’re not eating?” Lay asked. “No…No, I’m not.” “You’re too skinny!!! Let me buy you something then.” “No you don’t---” “Two sandwiches and bubble tea please. And can I have 4 steamed buns? Thank you.” He smiled and took me to our table. “Eat.”

“How can I? I’m too nervous!” “Then I’ll be worried. You’ll get sick from not eating, and what will I tell your mom then huh? ‘Oh Miss (last name) your daughter was too nervous because she was curious about our grade on the presentation on the Aztecs that she didn’t eat, so she’s sick.’ Like really?” “Fine.” I said and took a bite out of the baozi.

The next day, we continued with the last of the presentations. Our teacher passed out our graded papers on the cubic grade thingy. “A+…..” I read. My face turned into a smile and I jumped up. “LAY!” I shouted, even though he was next to me. He stood up too. “OMO! An A+! You helped me do so well! I could kiss you right now!!!” I accidentally said. My eyes widened and everyone stared at us. “Then why don’t you?”
