Days Thereafter

I look at Jimin just staring at me. He doesn’t say anything for a while but just stands there.

“Are you going to stand there all night?” I ask him

He walks over silently, a small smile on his lips. He sits in the chair and holds my hand.

“I know this is unexpected, and not really a romantic place…”

What is he trying to say?

“I know that it’s only been a month, but after everything that’s happened tonight, I realized… Saranghe.”

He just said he loves me. OH MY GOD HE JUST SAID HE LOVES ME!!!

After hearing those words I can’t contain the smile that brings my lips upward and makes my cheek hurt.

“I don’t know if you feel the same way, but I really do love you.” He comes closer to me, his hand warming mine, his breath just barely reaching me.

“Do you feel the same way?” His eyes are level with mine and hold me there.

Of course I love this pabo. You were the first one I thought of calling, not 119.

“Jiminie…” I say looking down.

“Do you see how our hands are? How they feel. My hands are freezing and yours are warm. Without you I would be a hollow shell, cold and lifeless. It’s because of you that I’m here. I thought about you and how strong you are, and it made me strong too. I may be like this, but that’s not anyone’s fault. I guess I’m saying that I, love you, pabo, Park Jimin.”

His face breaks out into one of the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen. He leans forward and catches my smile with his lips. His lips are warm and soft, making me fall deeper into his embrace. Before we know it we're both out of breath. He leans his forehead against mine and strokes my hair. I look at him and see him staring at me.

I just want to live in this moment forever, just me and him. I don’t remember ever being this happy and content. I feel like I could fly.

“I have a request. It’s not too big, and it’s for you.” He spoke gently.

“Ok…”

“Move in with me.”

I broke our contact, shocked at his proposal.

It’s barely been a month, we haven’t even celebrated our one month…

“What do you mean it’s for me? I ask cautiously

“I can protect you there. I can’t protect you at V’s house. You don’t have to make any decisions just yet, but it would be best.” He gives me a kiss on my forehead and then starts undressing.

“WHY ARE YOU TAKING OFF YOUR PANTS?!” I yell at him.

“I can’t sleep with my pants on…” he mutters.

“Where are you sleeping?” I ask him.

“With you pabo!” Now he’s taking off his shirt.

“Yah! Choose one or the other! You can’t have both!” I start blushing like crazy and turn away, but I got a good look at everything before I turned away. It wasn’t a bad view.

He ends up putting on a pair of sweats that were with the bag he brought back and climbs under the covers with me.

I.Don’t.Know.What.To.Do.

He’s facing me and looking at me. His hand creeps around my hip and just rests there. He is so close, I can feel his body heat. I creep my hand up and run my hand down his arm. I can feel all of his muscles. Run my hand back up and this time down his side, I can feel goose bumps form where my fingers trail along his skin. His breath starts to come in little gasps and I can feel his body shiver from my cold fingers. I finally stop at his hip and let my hand rest there. He looks at me and bites his lip. His hand goes to my back and pushes me a little forward. Our lips meet again, my hand runs up his back to the back of his neck. He’s being careful.

I really do love you.

We both pull away. I snuggle up against his chest and he rests his chin on the top of my head.

Given the circumstances, everything in this moment is perfect.

My heart feels like it’s on fire.
