Days Thereafter

I look down at my now icy fingers. Jimin moves to sit where Jin just left.

My first friend. Gone. He was nice to me. Now I don’t have any friends. Well I guess that isn’t true, there’s still the rest of BTS right? Did I just come between them? Will BTS be on different sides too?

All these thoughts whirred through my head. I couldn’t even pay attention to what Bang was saying anymore.

“Mhm!” Bang clears his throat. I look up from my fingers to him.

“We need to decide what to do with you two!”

“Ne” we both say softly.

“How long have you been dating?”

“10 minutes” Jimin says.

Bang just looks at both of us, then he starts dying of laughter. His face turns red and he holds his stomach while wiping away the tears that form in his eyes. This goes on for about another two minutes. His laugh even makes me smile. I turn to my right to see Jimin holding back his laughter as well.

“Ok,tell me this..” He manages to spit out

“Why should I let the two of you date?”

The question struck me by surprise. I look over at Jimin and see him deep in thought.
What do I really like about this mysterious person that would be good enough for Bang to hear? Should I tell him that my face turns red when I think about how sweet Jimin’s been towards me? How I get butterflies thinking about his smile? His eyes that always hold me in attention? Would he really even understand this stuff?

“Sir, do you know what it’s like to drown?”

What?! Is he trying to say that I almost kill him?! Where the hell does he think he’s going with this?! He’s supposed to help, not make it worse!

“No, I can’t say I do. I know how to swim.” Bang says with a serious face.

“Well, I’m not even in water! But I’m drowning. I don’t know when it started… but I can’t breathe and I become helpless when I stand in front of her.” Jimin looks to me. He has my whole attention.

“Now, what if I told you, the very thing that was putting your life at risk, was also what was saving you. She has become my lifesaver as well, sir. You even said I started getting better. I was trying hard for her. I want to show her what I can do, so that way, maybe, I’ll swim to her. Instead of drowning.”

Park Jimin. There are no words.

Bang also looks a little taken aback.

“Ok, here’s my final thought. I will allow this to continue, but if I notice that you become slack on your practice, something will be done. Am I clear?”

“Ne” We both say again.

“You can both leave now.” Bang motions towards the door.

Jimin takes my hand.

“Oh, and try not to get caught by the media. Ok?”

“Ne” we say for the third and final time.

We walk out the door and take five steps forward. I stop, causing Jimin to stop too.

“Gwenchana? Are you still scared?” He rubs his thumbs over the back of my hand.

I shake my head. I throw my arms around his shoulders and hug him tightly.

“I knew I made the right choice! Who knew you were such a romantic?” I giggle in his ear.

He hugs me back tightly too.

“Mhm” someone clears their throat.

I took exams today and classes are cancelled for tomorrow! I was so happy I decided to update! It's not as long as I would have liked, but I hope you like it anyway! I hope to update with another chapter tomorrow as well!
