Days Thereafter

*Back to the present*

I lean forward. Her scent is soft and inviting.

I want to steal just one kiss… is that too much to ask for?

*buzz**buzz*

I can’t win, can I? I look into her eyes. They pull me in to the point where it seems a little hard to breathe

Do you even know how much I like you? I sigh and step back.

She takes out her phone and starts talking to her friend. She smiles. I feel kind of awkward so I just move back towards the wall and look at my phone.

“1 New Message”

I didn’t hear it go off… I check the number.

It looks familiar… but I don’t have it saved…

“Hey. It’s me Ah Ra, I think we should meet sometime. Bogoshipda.”

I’m so shocked I can’t do anything.

Why is she trying to contact me now?!

Just as I start to regain myself, she jumps towards me and I’m in the view with her. She keeps talking to her friend.

I wish I knew English better.

I think she introduces, so I smile at her friend, but then she puts her arm around me. I can feel my heartbeat jump too happily and hear the blood rush in my ears. I look over at her and see her smile.

She’s going to kill me, her smile is too much.

I decide to jump forward with my plans and take advantage of this opportunity. I motion towards her and her phone. She hands it over easily.

This is almost too easy!

"Hi...my name... is Jimin. We're... dating." Mission accomplished.

I hand her phone back over and smile at her. Her face turns red.

Ah, neo mu gwi yeo weo (you’re cute)!!

Her friends are yelling, and its sounds like they’re kissing too… She hangs up and turns to look at me

"Why did you say we we're dating?" Well she doesn’t sound mad…

"Well why not?" I step forward.

"Because we're not dating." She steps back.

Is she nervous to be so close to me?

I try to hold in my laughter. We keep up our stepping till she hits the wall. I meet her. I lean in closer. I see her eyes get wider, but I continue to get closer to her ear.

“Maybe we should change that?” I take two steps back.

This is it, all or nothing. I gather up all my courage.

“I really like you.”

I hear nothing but our loud breathing, my heart’s beating out of my chest. She looks down, her brows furrowed, and makes wrinkles in her forehead. Then she looks up at me and takes a step closer. She opens her lips partially and takes a deep breath.
