Days Thereafter

I can’t even look up so I decide to leave it to fate.

“Ok, stand in a circle, facing away from me.” The boys obey, their feet shuffling around me. When they’re all in their spots I close my eyes and spin 3 times. With my eyes closed tight I timidly step forward. I can feel the other person’s body heat. I take another step forward and throw my arms around their shoulders, my face burying in their back.

“Who did I choose?” I mumble into their shirt

“That was pointless, she chose him anyway.” I look up and see a dejected J-Hope walk towards the mirrored wall. Then the person turns around to look at me.

“I did the best right?” Jin smiles down at me. I remove my hands from him only to have him wrap me up in hug. He rests his chin on my head.

“Yah… you like me don't you?”

“...ani.” I say softly. I really don't have anything to say. The outcome shocked even myself.

“Why don’t both of you just go and eat dinner together.” Rapmon waves us away. Jin starts to lead me out; I turn back and see Jimin standing in the corner. Our eyes meet for only a short time before he turns away.

Just tell him how you really feel you egg! Stop walking with Jin and do something for once! But what do I tell him? Everything? Some of it? None?

Before I have chance to say anything at all the wall cuts me off and I’m walking with Jin down the hallway.

We end up just going to a convenience store down the road, I have a bowl of ramen and a triangle bibimbap. He gets his food and we sit at the booth that looks onto the road. I start to eat when I feel a nudge at my elbow.

“Mmm?” I look at him with a mouthful of noodles

“So-”

“OPPAAA!!!!” We both look up to see a horde of fangirls start running towards us from across the street.

“Go to the back of the store!” We both run towards the back, taking a left at the first hallway and end up in the bathroom.
“We have to go through the window.” I whisper breathlessly. I've never been this terrified of a group of people before. I slide the window as far as it will go; there’s not a lot of room, but just enough, I hope. I stand on the toilet and throw my leg over the threshold. luckily its not to far a drop. We both stand in an alleyway, propped against the wall, just listening.

“Does this always happen when you guys go outside?”

“OPPAAA!!!” God! These girls are bloodhounds! When will it end?

Jin grabs my hand and we run the opposite way and around the corner. we run blindly, just to get away, but these girl just don’t let up. We’re both sweating and about to drop when we find an alley. I gather up the last of my energy and drag Jin sprinting down the alley and around the corner. We both slide down the brick to the ground. It’s pretty quiet now except for our laboured breathing. We hear steps coming closer and both of our heads snap out. I almost cry I’m so happy to see Jimin walking towards us.

“Oppa...take...us...back...to the building. Please.” I croak. My voice is hoarse from breathing through my mouth so much, I sound sick. The look of shock on his face is almost comical. I look over at Jin who is still sitting down, trying to catch his breath. Sweat is pouring down his face and his face is scrunched up.

“Come on oppa.” I pull on his arm and he slowly complies.

“What happened?” Jimin asks me

“A bunch of fans saw oppa and I and started chasing us. Nothing big right?” Sarcasm can always lighten up the mood right?

We end up back at the building, not sweaty but exhausted. Jimin walks between us constantly asking if we're ok. I nod and just follow along. When we get back the first thing I do is find a water fountain.

Oh God, I love water so much. I’m never taking you for granted ever again.

No one seems to be in this part of the building so it seems perfect. I drink for what seems like forever until someone places their hand on my hip. I stand up and face them. I come face-to-face with Jimin.

“Gwenchana?” he asks softly

“M’yea” We both stare at each other. My mind goes blank and my whole body starts to feel tingly. I can't help but look at his lips, I look up and see he’s also looking at mine, then our eyes meet.
