Reasons to live

I help omma pack her things. Today is the day she can finally come home. Since the bone marrow transplant she's doing ways better. Oppa and I are much more relaxed. We have decided that it would be better if oppa and omma move into my (and appa's) apartment.
I stand in the hospital room. The last five or six months I've spent most of my time in here. Here or in the family Tuan's restaurant or at school. Thanks to oppa and GOT7 the others have also stopped bothering me. GOT7 performed at the school's annual concert. There oppa also announced that I'm his sister and the others said that I'm their friend, everyone who insulted me would also insult GOT7. I was really touched, I am still. I have not realized that they have noticed how hard I was fighting. But they did. I think that I'm doing so well right now is also thanks to them.
The door behind me opens and seven handsome boys enter. They joke and laugh altogether and it makes my heart feel warm inside. Jackson and oppa will bring omma home with the car and the rest of us will go there by bus. Bambam puts his arm around my shoulders and drag me towards the door.

Few days later

It's been two years now. I don't know how I have survived this first year all alone. I finally found omma and oppa. I'm so sorry. Appa. You've left for two years now. I go to appa's walk-in-closet and get omma appa's first present.
“Omma. This is yours. There are like 20 others. For every anniversary and birthday appa got you a present. He never forgot you. He loved you till his last breath. I hope you're not angry that I some day hated him for buying presents for a woman, I thought would never return. But you did. I found you and you live. He knew that you would come home.”
I hand her the small in red-white-dotted paper wrapped box with the red envelop tucked in the red ribbon. Omma looks at oppa and than at me and with a smile she gives oppa the envelop to read out what appa wrote.
“Dear Mineuk,
Happy anniversary. I hope you're doing good. I know that my mother is really overdoing it. I hope you can see through it. I believe that one day you'll come back with Jinyoung. I miss you both.
Your beloved husband
P.S.: You know what? Our little Ahreum has said her first word today. It's omma. So you need to come back soon to hear her say that by yourself.”
Through my veil of tears I can see how oppa reaches his eyes to stroke away a teardrop. I go over to omma and embrace her.
“Omma, welcome home.”
