Dear Gentleman, a very good morning and thank you for joining me here for this briefing meeting and presentation.” I started off with my introductory speech in front of the heads of different department and the Chairman himself. I have been through many such presentations, but every time, I always get sweaty palms and butterflies in my stomach.
“So I would like to present to you on how we are progressing with our plan for the Neon Lights brand and our plans forward.” I started my presentation. I displayed the pictures of Siwon and the blond model, which we shot with our professional photographer. The first reaction that I got form the audience was “GASP!!”
“Please don’t be surprised or shocked, because this was done on purpose and we had a situation that day. This is a pictorial that will be used only for us and will be kept under strict confidentiality. But this photo-shoot and pictorials will be our foundations and the style we will be following for the brand.”
“So you see here, we have…” I started off. My flow of the presentation was going well. I was occasionally shot with questions from the Chairman himself and a few financial questions form the Finance Department Head. But other than that, the presentation went well. That was assured with continuous and understanding nods from my audience and occasional smile form Siwon.
“ So gentlemen, to conclude I would like to share with you that the French designer who we have been in contact with have agreed to fly into Seoul and start with the Neon Lights magazine shoot next week.”
“And when is the exact date of the shoot and where do you plan to have the shooting?” the commercial officer asked me.
“ According to the plan prescribed by us and confirmed by the French designers, they will be arriving this week and we will be starting shoot in Jeju Island by 16th February. The itinerary and schedule has been fixed and finances from our side has been confirmed by the finance department and other legal issues have also been processed by the legal department.” I said confidently.
“Alright then Ms. Day, I think it is all ok with us.” The chairman said and paused for a minute. “Since there are no questions or objections, I think this is a ‘go ahead’ for you. Please keep us updated on the developments and please make sure that the brand is launched on time. Also, get your team ready to go to Jeju. Do you have any a team ready?”
“ Well, my team?!?” I stammered for a minute because, that was the last thing I was considering but suddenly, “ I will be joining her on the shoot.” Siwon stood up and announced his travel with me.
“Oh Siwon, that is nice of you supporting Ms. Day.” The Chairman said.
“ Yes sir, this is my brand and she is on board with me. So I will have to be supportive. I also intend to take Min Jin and Yan Suk for the shoot.” Siwon said. I looked at him for the rescue support he gave me.
“Alright, it’s all settled then. Good job Ms. Day.” The Chairman appricited and made his way out with a smile on his face. I was glowing with a wide smile.
I turned to Siwon and said, “Thank you Siwon.”
“For what?”
“For what you did.”
“No problem. As I said, you are my team and this is my brand. So as a team player I am supporting you and will support you always.” He said making me smile.



“ Hi guys!” I went to greet Yan Suk and Min Jin who were waiting for me and Dara.
“ Dara has not arrived yet? Have you called her?”
“ Yes I have and she has informed me that she is on her way.” Yan Suk informed me.
“Ok then lets all wait for her and then check in?” I asked my team
“ Yeah, sure no problem.”
Exactly two minutes later, Dara arrived in her floral design mini dress accessorized with black floral pumps. Her white and red stoned flower earring perfectly sat on her pinkish ears. The diva as she is, her Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses gave an edgy look to her attire.
“Hey!” she arrogantly greeted us.
“ Hello Ms. Dara!” “Hi Ms. Dara!” Yan Suk and Min Jin greeted.
But I should be different, why? Because I’m her boyfriend. So I surprised her with, “hey darling!” and pecked her plumpy cheeks making Yan Suk and Min Jin snicker.
The look on her face was epic. She did not know what to do or what to say. She just blushed and slowly removed her glasses. Blushingly she said, “hi!”
*ahem….”its time that we have to check in.” Yan Suk said as Min Jin was giggling in the background.


“ Hello, we have a reservation for a two executive suites.” I said as Mr. Siwon, Ms. Day and Min Jin waited for my confirmation at the reception of our Jeju island hotel.
“ You must be from the Choi International Company. Yes your suite is ready. Please follow me to your rooms.”
“ uumm..Guys, this way” I called out for the others.
We went up to the 7nt floor and the receptionist showed two opposite rooms. “ So here are the key cards for the rooms.” She opened the door for one of the room and her colleague who joined us, opened the door for the opposite room.
“I’ll take this one.” I said. “Min Jin come on in, tell me which room you want?” I asked Min Jin with the thought that girls take one room and the boys take the opposite room. But to my surprise, Yan Suk said, “ eerrrrmm…sorry Ms. Dara, I think Mr. Siwon will be staying with you and me and Min Jin will take the other room.” He said.
“Excuse me?”
“eerrrmm…yeah”
“ Do you know who you are talking to Yan Suk?”
“Yes Ms. Dara, as you have appointed, me and Min Jin have a lot of coordination, so we need to work together.”
I was getting seriously frustrated with the tone and voice Yan Suk was telling me this.
“You…” I started ready to blow him off, but Siwon came right in, “ Chill Dara, they have the works with the company and the hotel. Besides I think it is a good idea that we get the same room. We will have to talk about a few confidential matters too.”
“ I don’t know…. but I’m not letting things off Yan Suk” I said with anger.
We went into our respective rooms. The well-decorated rooms had two bedrooms that were separated by the main living, a small kitchen cabinet. The rooms had amazing views of both the mountains and the sea. The room itself was very cozy, carpeted and classically decorated with paintings, crystal vases and more.
“Right, I’m taking this one. Ill refresh and we’ll meet in an hour in the restaurant.” I told Siwon.
“Sure, work first. I’ll also inform Yan Suk and Min Jin.”
“Yeah……wait….work first? What do you mean?”
“nothing really. Now hurry up, we have to canvass the place and tomorrow when the French crew arrives, we have make it right.”
With a suspicious look on my face I went into my room.

I was ready and was waiting for the other three to join me at the restaurant.
“Hi Ms. Dara.” Yan Suk came with a cup of lemon tea for me. But I did not respond to his greeting.
“I’m sorry for what had happened before.”
“Oh you better be!.”
“ I respect you very much Ms. Dara, and I look up to you very much. So I’ll tell you something.”
“Ok”
“ This hotel, this room and the switching of rooms were all directed by Mr. Siwon.”
“SIWON?”
“Yeah, after i booked the hotel, he asked me how the rooms were placed and then he told me that you would take Min Jin to stay with you. But then he asked me to switch rooms and take Min Jin with me and Siwon with you.”
“Oh that Si…”
“Please don’t be mad at him. I secretly like this plan too because I get to stay with Min Jin. Otherwise, I don’t get enough time to meet her.”
“ That little minx! Ok fine. This is going to be your personal thing. Besides you are a good friend, so I’ll let pass. But if I see you or her making any mistake in my shooting or schedule, remember I can fire you!”
“Yes mam!” he said with a big smile.
As we were chatting, I saw Siwon come into the restaurant with Min Jin.
“Hello everyone.”
“Hi” I said sternly making him feel and notice that something was wrong and I had found that out.
“ Ok I’ll deal with you later.” I sighed and went back to our papers.
“So tomorrow we will have the French crew arrive here and Min Jin, you are taking care of the reception and eatery logistics, Yan Suk, you are getting them from the airport and shoot set up, me and Siwon will be with the designer and the photographer.”
“I was thinking of talking and getting to know the designer. So I wanted to spend more time with him in the lounge and in the shooting spot. It will help me to educate him about our company.”
“yeah sure that sounds like a good idea.”


*okay this way, give me that seductive look, yes that’s right. now this way, stretch that neck, beautiful” the photographer was giving instructions to our international model Nicola Spatz. I was with the shoot director telling him exactly what we are looking for and Siwon with the designer himself.
As time went by all of us were getting very busy. I had not gotten a single minute to sit down or have a cup of tea. I was standing out in the beach, under the scotching sun.
“Yes, yes, I’ve already got those papers and we will finalize them……” I was on the phone yelling at someone I have no idea.
“ The photo shoot will be over , but don’t call the press so soon. It is unwanted. Do you hear me? I don’t want the press to show up in our shooting spot!” I heard Siwon yelling at some one too.
Min Jin was running from pillar to post in her heels and looking at her in those heels made me feel pain. Yan Suk, was seriously exhausted. My team was doing really well and I was very proud of them.
7.30pm. “And that’s a wrap. Good work everyone. See you all tomorrow.” The director cued and the mega watts lights were switched off.
“ So we are on schedule, that is good. Have you got all the shots you required?”
“Oui Madame, we have the morning sun shots and the setting sun shots. You can then decide which goes on the spread.” The director, Mr. Maxime Andree said.
“Thanks Max. Can I have a copy of today’s shoot by tonight?”
“Sure love. Also I was thinking, may be you want to join me for a beer?”
Oh the French was being very French. “uummm….i’m very flattered, but I’ve to turn that down Max. Tomorrow is a long day and I have to write a report to HQ too. But thanks a lot.”

I went up to my room and noticed that Siwon was absent in his room. Assuming he is with either the designer or in some sort of work, I had a quick shower, put on the loosest cotton shirt and jean shorts and headed put to the beach for a stroll. I had a long day and my head was aching. I bought myself an apple cider from the bar and walked along the beach as the waves softly touched my feet. The breeze and the quietness was so soothing. I was just hearing the sound of the waves. I closed my eyes absorbing the fresh evening breeze, walking in the we beach sand and with the salt-water caressing my feet.
*thud I hit someone. “Oh im so sorry.”
“That’s alright! Not a problem. You ok?” it was Max enjoying his time at the beach as well
“oh hi Max, im really sorry.”
“No worries.” He picked up dropped apple cider bottle.
“So what are you doing out here?”
“Well this is my first time here and I’ve had a long day too.so I just wanted to relax. And you?”
“Same here. I just wanted some peaceful time.”
“So you are an international consultant for the group?”
“Yes indeed I am. I am working for their brand Neon Lights which is headed by Siwon.”
“That’s brilliant. So Ms. Day” “please, call me Dara.”
“So Dara, how does an attractive woman like you not be approached by men?”
“Well, that’s because, I am very work focused, so I ignore such signals.”
“Well that’s a shame. Then men like me have to work super hard to get your attention.”
“Indeed, you are talking to Dara here.” I joked back.
“DARA!” I heard Siwon call for me from behind.
“HI!” I waved back at Siwon. “hi!” He greeted as he came to the beach as well. “Hi Max nice to meet you. Did you have a nice day today?”
“ As a matter of fact yes!”
“ Dara, HQ call in 20 minutes.”
“ Ok I’ll join you.”
“Max, sorry, we will have to leave.”
“Yeah sure. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”
“Sure, bye and goodnight.”
We finished the call with the HQ, which lasted for up to 30 minutes. We updated them about he details and issues. It was a good meeting. I was all ready to go to bed and Siwon suddenly asked me, “Dara, you ok with staying here right?”
“Why do you suddenly ask me such a question Siwon?”
“Because, I saw that you had your light son the entire night. So I was wondering if I was making you feel unsecure or uncomfortable”
“Oh Siwon, its nothing like that.” I went and held his concerned face.
“Its just that it’s a new place, and I don’t get sleep that fast. So I have the lights on and I read for a while. Besides, you at fault too.”
“Me? Why?”
“ This whole plan of switching rooms was your idea wasn’t it?”
“No” he cutely pretended.
“oh come on, Yan Suk confessed to me.”
“That fellow!”
I laughed at his adorableness and said, “Siwon, well if you ask me if I feel nervous staying with you in the same room, yes I actually do. You are a very good looking man and seeing you around, sometimes makes me nervous and has my feels kick in. but I’m working and I’m still hesitant.”
“Please Dara, if there is anything that im doing that’s making you uncomfortable let me know right away.” He said holing me by my waist.
“Now…..you hold on my waist, is giving me butterflies”
“Should I remove my hands?” he asked with an evil smirk
“Yes you should.” I whispered in a seductive way.
Swion was slowly coming forward for an enchanting kiss. I felt it and selfishly, I wanted it too.
*Ding Dong the doorbell rang as we were nano meters away from our lips to touch.
“Good Evening Mr. Siwon” Yan Suk was outside our door with a bunch of papers.
“Ah! Yan Suk, you have such a timing!”
“Why did I disturb something?”
“No…nothing.” Siwon said with a sigh looking at me.
“Hi Yan Suk!” I greeted him with a streak of frustration running through my face.
“eeerrrmm..should I comeback later?”
“oh come on man, just tell us what it is.” Siwon cutely snapped again.
Yan Suk briefed us about tomorrow and have us details about the shoot and the logistics. We made a few changes to the plan. Once when our short meet was over, he went to his room and so did we. We retired for the day.


The sun was rising in the horizon and I was already in the restaurant having my breakfast. I did not read any paper, no ipad, no statistics, no phone nothing. I was just enjoying the beautiful sun rise and the sea.
“Good morning!” I was joined by Max, the photo shoot director.
“Hi good morning. You’re early.”
“Yes….just wanted to do something with the spot and stuff. Technical you know.”
“Oh ok….”
“You are up early too.”
“Yeah well..i read that when you see the sun rise of the day, it will always bring you luck and something good will happen today. So guess we will have a good work day.”
“Hopefully!” Max said as he stared at me. I did notice the stare and so did Siwon who was also joining us.
“Morning!”
“Morning. So we ready fro the day Mr. Max?”
“Yes all set for the day. Please excuse me. I have a something urgent come up. I’ll you on the field.” He said and left.
“I don’t like that guy.”
“Why?”
“Because he is giving you that nasty stare and I don’t like it.”
“ Well yeah, I noticed it too. But come on at work place its pretty common. Don’t bother. I’ll handle it. So did you sleep well last night?” I asked Siwon who was serious about the issue with Max.


The shooting was proceeding well as per our plan. Dara was running up and down to get everything right. I was standing by the monitor with Max, to acknowledge the right shot.
“ She is amazing, isn’t she?” Max suddenly said.
“ Excuse me?”
“Dara, she…she is just so mesmerizing. The way she talks, works, everything about her is amazing.”
“What do you mean?”
“Just look at her. Every time she bends down, ah, her booty, kills me. And I’d love to see what she is hiding beneath that shirt! I’ve bee trying to get her since the time I arrived here. But she has been slipping by me. But that makes me want her more!!” he said looking at Dara with such sick, filthy eyes.
“Dare you say another word Max and I’ll break that jaw bone of yours.” I gripped Max’s collar and told him.
“ What’s it to you Siwon? Just because you employ her, does it mean you own her?”
“ Stop it Max, you have already crossed you line.” A few people were already noticing the serious tiff going on between us.
“ Why? Have you made any deal with her? She works for you anyways…..do you guys have a lot of ‘overtime’?” I was angry….no I was furious. How dare he talks about the girl I’m dating…MY GIRL in such a filthy way?
“ STOP IT! STOP IT! Utter another word and I will kill you right here, right now!”
“ Guys, guys..whats wrong?” Dara came running noticing the clash between us. It was serious and all of the workers knew it. The entire spot became silent.
I cupped Dara in my right hand and announced as loud as I can to the entire audience I had “SHE IS MY GIRL! DO YOU ALL UNDERSTADN? SHE IS MINE. YES WE ARE DATING.NO ONE DARE LAY A HAND OR EVEN AN EYE ON HER. IF YOU DO, BE READY TO BLEED TO DEATH!” I dragged Dara into the hotel. Dara was very confused and shocked. But this had to be done.
