I've got you.

‘You were my boyfriend?’ I write to him. He nods, I look around at everyone elses faces they all nod too. I stand up and get closer to Mark. I hold up a ‘sorry’ sign and touch his face. I realise this must seem completely alien to him and the rest of the group but I wanted to remember, I was trying so hard to force myself to remember. I touch his nose, and his eyes, my finger follows his jawline and towards his lips. I pause, for a moment, this is definitely weird for him but he tells me it is okay. I continue and my finger goes over his lips, but I am not remembering anything. He holds my hand up and places it against his.

I frown. “I am so sorry” I write again. “I’m trying really hard to remember, I really need to remember. It is hurting me so much.”

“Don’t worry, we’ve been hurting for four months, we can sort it now.” Jackson says putting his hands on my shoulder.

“Shall we take her to the treehouse?” Jr and YoungJae ask. I frown at them, what about last lesson? I think to myself but it is like they are reading my mind. “We don’t need to go to last lesson, hardly anyone does anymore.”

I nod and put up the ‘Okay’ sign with my hand. After lunch we head out right to the back of the fields and into a small gathering of trees, I look up to see a small tree house it looked barely big enough for one person let alone eight of us, but that all changed when I got up there.

It was perfect. Mark, BamBam, Jackson, JB, Jr, YoungJae, Yugyeom had the most perfect little hang out. I felt like I had been here before. No, I knew I had been here before, this is where it happened.

I quickly panick to find my notebook to realise BamBam had it and he saw me panic and he gives it me. I sit down on the floor and write ‘This is where Mark asked me out isn’t it?” I remember, well I remember Yugyeom and YoungJae and I think Jr bringing me here probably over a year possibly two years ago Am I right?”

I hand it over to BamBam and the others gather around apart from Mark, who suddenly looks sad. “You still don’t remember me though, you remember Junior, Yugyeom and YoungJae. Not me.”

I bow to say I am sorry once again, I can’t help not knowing. I really am trying hard.

“Hey hyung, what did we do for our first day out together?” YoungJae asks.

“Didn’t we go to a theme park?” Junior replies.

“Maybe that will bring her memory back a little more?” Bambam replies.

I followed them down the tree house and they snook me out of school and we walked to the theme park. BamBam put his arms around me and I got out my phone and text, “I don’t have any money.”

I showed it him, and he replies “I’ll pay, don’t worry you can pay me back when you can.”
I make the okay signal and he hooks his arms around mine. We walk to the bus stop and get on BamBam pays for me and leads me to the back where he sits two seats away from the window, “You like the window seat.” I agree, he knows more about me then I do, it’s cute but I don’t know anything about them. I quickly type a message into my phone and hand it to BamBam.

He looks and just smiles at the screen and does as he is told. He then hands it to Jackson and Mark, Yugyeom and JB, then YoungJae and Junior. That’s it, I have all their numbers. I can find out things about them it should be fun now I can communicate over text.

My first text goes out to all of them “What is your favourite colour?” The phones all go off at the same time and I grin a little, hopefully none of them see my smile so I just go back to staring out the window. Just then my phone buzzed with seven messages. Jackson, Mark and JB all liked the colour black. YoungJae and Yugyeom said Blue Junior said Red and BamBam said Yellow.

They all began to discuss where we should go. YoungJae insisted that me and him should go on the smallish rollercoaster as that’s what we did before. Jackson told me we definitely have to go on the ghost ride and haunted mansion. YugYeom said we played hide and seek in the masked ball. JB said we should go on the viewing tower because it was almost as tall as namsan tower and we could see the school and our houses from there. Junior insisted we go on the carousal or horseback riding near the front. . BamBam told me that he bought us candyfloss and drinks then we sat down and then went to the arcade where they all won my panda TingTing. Mark said we should go on the Ferris wheel when it got dark with a torch and some food. I nod and say that sounds good.

When we got there, BamBam paid for my ticket, I gave him a quick hug to say thanks and we went in. YoungJae held my shoulders first and pushed me to the rollercoaster we supposedly went on before. We walked up the stairs to the start, YoungJae told me to seat right at the front with him just as we did before. The ride began everyone else was right behind me and as the ride got to it’s highest point. I closed my eyes and buried my face into YoungJaes body.


---FlashBack 2 Years ago—
I was having so much fun with them, but YoungJae kept bugging me to go onto his favourite ride the chillercoaster, it wasn’t particularly big but YoungJae enjoyed it so we all went on it.
“Ah YoungJae, it’s scary, why does it go so fast?” I said pouting, YoungJae laughed at me and ruffled my hair, we must have been 15 or 16 at the time, but it felt nice to have friends who were so popular and nice to me. We got in the roller coaster and YoungJae and I sat at the front like I promised him and we set off, at one point it got really scary and I closed my eyes and buried them into YoungJaes body.
--End—

I opened my eyes and YoungJae was looking at me with hope in his eye. I nod. I don’t know what he was thinking.

“Jiji, do you remember anything at all?” He asks when we get off. I nod and walk him over to the bench, just like we did last time so I could stop shaking, because it was so scary.

“You really do remember! Do you remember what we did next?”

I walk up and look around and I see the sign for horseback riding. I get my phone and text them all. “We went down to the other side and went on a horse and the carousal.”

They nod and cheer with excitement, ‘she’s remembering us guys.’ We walk on a little bit more and we come to the stables and we ask to ride the horses. I tried remembering everything but maybe if I am forcing myself I wont remember. I got on the horse and we rode around for a bit until we came to a lake of water.


--Flashback 2 years ago—
We are here at the lake, I am on the horse and the sun is just setting and it looks beautiful, so beautiful. I look up and see Jackson, Mark, BamBam on one side JB, Junior, YugYeom and YoungJae on the other. We watch the sunset go down then ride around the lake, and head back up to the stables.
--End—

We don’t even get to watch the sunset set and Jackson says “Okay let’s go.”

I get my phone out of my pocket and text them all “No, we have to watch the sun set and then ride around the lake and back up towards the stables, that’s how we did it before.”

One by one there phones went off and they smiled.

“She remembers this, it’s getting better.”

We rode back up and got off and I headed straight towards the arcade, where BamBam bought us candyfloss and some drinks, I shared mine with BamBam and we headed straight into the arcade there we played games and we won another panda. I was remembering everything now, we played hide and seek just like YugYeom said and then we went to the viewing tower and then went towards the horror mansion and ghost train. I sat with Jackson as I did before because he was the least scared.

--Flashback—

Me and Jackson sat at the back of the ghost train and as it was about to start I jump and grab Jackson’s hand and I grip it tightly all the way round jumping and screaming at other things, Jackson puts his arm around me and tells me it’s okay and I bury my head into his neck and shoulder.
--End—

As soon as the train jolted forward and I accidently grab Jacksons hand and this he responds to by putting his arm over my shoulder and I continue to bury my head in his chest and neck. I feel safe with Jackson, like he will always protect me.

We then proceeded to travel to the Ferris wheel and Mark and I go up on our own and the others stand at the bottom and watch. Mark pulls out the torch and we shine it on the boys at the bottom of the ground. I can’t help but laugh as they are blinded by the light. I then realise that it’s the first time I’ve laughed since the accident and I am shocked by Marks reaction when he puts his arm around my shoulders. “Do you remember us now?”

I nod and then text Mark “Well there’s still some things I am unclear about but I am sure they will come soon enough.”

He reads the message and asks “What are you unclear of?”

“There’s this song,” I type back “and I don’t know why but I feel as though it was written for me, but that can’t be it can it? I don’t know anyone that can do music or anything. Maybe I am wrong.”

Mark got out his phone and text. I was hoping he would explain to me but, he just messaged someone else. I sighed and as the ride ended we got off and walked back to the bus stop.
I looked at my phone and JiHoon had text me “Where are you, did you have a good time? I’ll pick you and the others up if you want.”

I then remember I had completely forgot to text JiHoon and let him know where I was. I text the others “My brother is picking us up if you want. YugYeom, Junior and YoungJae had already got lifts and BamBam was prepared to go with me to my house and back.

I text JiHoon letting him know where me JB, BamBam, mark and Jackson were. Within ten minutes he arrived and we were getting in the car. In the car he played ‘Forever young by Got7’ I felt the connection once again as we pulled up I got out the car and walked the four boys who I was left with and I hug them all goodbye and bow.

When I got in the car I waved goodbye and JiHoon asked me “Did you talk.” I shake my head.

“Did you smile or laugh?” I nod and put my thumb up “Well it’s a step in the right direction.”
