GOT7 High

Chapter 4: The Loner

Youngjae took a deep breath as he pushed the doors open to Gongdo High. He could hear the melodious laugthers joined together by another melodious laugther. A guy with a blue backpack walked passed Youngjae and headed straight towards another guy. They exchanged quick high fives and headed towards the cafeteria, both engaged in the conversation they just started. A group of girls with similar hairstyles gathered in a clump, hoovering around a girl and her cellphone, obviously interested in what was showing on the screen. All around Youngjae, his peers were walking together with a friend, all engrossed in what the other person had to say. Everyone had a partner... a friend... everyone except Youngjae. Youngjae sighed as he adjusted his backpack straps again, trying not to feel the stab of being alone. He quickly quickened his face to a familar place, the library. Inside the library it was quiet and peaceful. All around him students were hunched over their textbooks or homework, lost in their own world. The librarian gave Youngjae a small smile as she scanned the books the student's returned. Youngjae smiled back and confidently walk towards the back of the library. There were times when Youngjae felt like a loner and a loser, especially when he overhears his classmates making plans to hang out after school, but whenever he enters the school library, the feelings of being alone left him. The quietness of the library gave him confidence, inside the library he couldn't hear his peers laugh together with their friends or hear them making weekend plans. The library only contained quietness and Youngjae liked that... a lot. When Youngjae went to the library, he always sat in the same place. It was at the very back of the library. At the very back, a small table that only held two chairs was placed next to the glass window. A bunch of boring history bookshelves hid the tiny table, so when Youngjae sat down on the creaky wooden chair and whipped out his journal to write, he felt safe and hidden. Nobody seem to be aware of this little hidden corner except Youngjae... and Yugyuem. When Youngjae walked passed al those boring history bookshelves, he expected to see the table and two chairs, but what he did see disappointed him greatly. Layimg down on his precious table, snoring away was no other than Yugyuem.
