JB’S POV:
It was just like every ordinary morning, get up, get ready for school, and then head to school. Everything was same; nothing was different out of the everyday routine, except for one thing; a new school. “Damn it, I don’t understand why we had to move” JB’s little sister Sara complained as she and JB walked their way to school. Sara was two years younger than JB and had a temper that could flare up in just a second. She had JB’s cold glance but also his warm smile. JB smiled and put his arms around Sara and pulled her closer to him “it’s because of dad’s job, you know. You know it was harder for him than us to move here to Seoul”. Sara clicked her tongue and pulled away from JB’s grasp, “nah, I doubt it. I’m pretty sure we got it worse than him. I mean, transferring in the middle of the school year is terrifying. We have to make new friends and get adjusted to the new life… ugh. It’s just terrible” Sara said shuddering a little. JB looked down at his feet, admiring the shoe’s he received from his father as an apology gift. “Just let it go, Sara. You’ve been complaining and whining for two whole weeks about the move, and we’re finally here. Whether you like it or not, it’s a done deal. No going back” JB said to Sara. His little sister scowled and started walking faster, “I can’t believe you’re not upset about this move. I mean, out of the three of us, you sacrificed the most. Giving up your popularity status, your bboying team, and also…” Sara stopped midsentence and coughed, “never mind”. JB looked up “and also what?” he asked, he had a feeling he knew what that “what” was. “No nothing” Sara quickly glanced back and gave a quick smile “let’s hurry up! We’re going to be late for our first day of school”. “You go ahead, I’m going to take my time” JB said as he looked down at his shoe once again. “Alright, then I’ll see you after school Bye!” waving goodbye, Sara started charging towards the school entrance like she was being chased. JB glanced up and smiled, laughing the way his younger sister ran, but his laughter soon came to a stop as he begin to rethink what Sara said, about how he gave up the most out of his dad and his sister. Sure giving up his popularity status in his old high school and having to start at the bottom of the food chain was terrifying to any 17 year old, but it didn’t matter to JB; he could always make new friends and end up at the top again. Sure it was also difficult leaving his bboy team, his second family; but his teammates promised they would contact JB through Kakao talk and other social accounts. His popularity status and his bboy team, yeah, they were hard to leave but they would also be easy to get over… but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get over his ex-girlfriend.
