All I could think about all day was MinHo. YoungBae tried to cheer me up, so did everyone else, even BaekHyun and ChanYeol failed and they never stop making me smile. Tao tried and failed. I didn’t know what I was doing for most of the day. He was confusing. Today appa was going to discuss my future with me, I needed to be focused.

“IU, come to the house tonight, I want to show you the pictures I promised you plus we need to discuss stuff.” I say to her in vocals class.

Just then a girl walks in with a newspaper. She hands it to me and the headline straight away catches my eye. ‘BigBang’s Taeyang Dating!’ There are pictures of me and him together at the couple store and when he puts my necklace and bracelet on for me and then there are comparative images of our hands and neck with the couple items on.

“Oh no, unnie, what should I do?” I ask IU and SuJi.

“You should either confess that you are dating him or deny the rumours in front of people. You will get anti’s for doing both though, so be careful.” IU says.

“I agree with IU, if you confess you are dating him all those saesangs will get mad, but if you deny it others will get angry and start questioning why you were together.” SuJi says.

“I’ll talk to him about it later,” I manage to get through school without dying. I text JiYong and say I am going straight to the store and he says okay. At the store I finish everything. I was too worried about the scandal I had caused with YoungBae oppa I didn’t want to get hurt. More importantly I didn’t want oppa to get hurt or BigBang for that matter.

I get home and knock on the door to appas office and he tells me to come in.

“JiEun-ah, lets first discuss what you want to do with your life.” He says. “Do you honestly want to do music now?”

“Yeah of course, I think I can do my best at music.” He nods at me.

“So I believe you heard the dating scandal between you and YoungBae?”

“yeah,” I say.

“I’ve asked him to come down so we can discuss what to do to either announce it or deny it.”

I agree and we wait until YoungBae turns up.

“Okay, so what do you two want to do?” Appa asks us both, I look at YoungBae and he looks at me. What did we want to do. I loved him a lot, he loved me, but we both are not ready to confirm the relationship and he understood that.

“We are just friends,” he says “We love each other a lot, but we are best friends and I don’t want that to change just yet.” YoungBae confirms.

“I agree with oppa, Dad? I had an idea at the store today.”

“Go on,” he encourages me.

“It might be mad and a little crazy, but it is BigBangs come back Friday isn’t it?” He nods. “Have you decided what songs to comeback with?”

“No not yet, we were going to do that tomorrow and announce it.” Appa replies.

“Well could I make a suggestion? I’ve heard the pre-publication album and I heard you need
female vocals for one song ‘We belong together’ I could do the vocals, and we could turn this scandal around and say we were trying a new concept. We were trying out filming spots for the M/V as the creative director, you asked. That way we could deny the relationship and say we were focusing on our work so even if we are in a relationship they could not confirm it because it was due to us working hard.” I say and smile because it sounded like a really good plan.

“That is brilliant JiEun-ah, absolutely brilliant. Why didn’t I think of that?” YoungBae says.

“That is because you are not a genius like my JiEun,” my dad says and smiles “right that’s what we will do, do you know the lyrics?”

“Yeah, I have a copy of them in my room,” I say.

“Go get them and get the rest of BigBang to come down and we need to discuss this as a whole team.”

I do as I am told, within five minutes we are all together and we decide that this was a good way to put rumours at bay. I begin practicing the song on my own acapella style whilst I wait for IU to come to my room. I get the photo album out and other things out, I should start taking pictures of my school life now it was interesting.

After one more song throughout IU came in.

“You are here!” I say and pat the floor next to me.

We go through the album and enjoy it laughing at JiYong and YoungBae when they were little.

There are also a few pictures of SeungHyun and Daesung and Seungri before they debuted when they were really young.

There’s the photo again me and JiYong and the unknown girl.

“I’ll be right back unnie, keep looking.” I take the photo and go downstairs into the office to see appa.

“Appa,” I say.

“JiEun, what is wrong?” he asks me concerned.

“Who is this in the photo with me and JiYong? I know it’s not EunJi and MinJi, because we had moved by the time they reached one. So it is me because the girls in this photo are about 4 and JiYong is about 6.”

“Ah, I was hoping I would never have to explain this horrible tragic incident.” He says he looks as if he is about to cry over it. “JiEun-ah I hope you can forgive me for what I am about to tell you, but this is you and JiYong in the picture, the girl with you..” He pauses and he has to take a deep breath, “she is your sister, your twin sister.”

I gasp, he looks distraught, his eyes begin to well up and tears form in the corners. “Appa, what happened to her?” My feelings were overrun by the emotions my dad was feeling, I had never seen him like this before, ever.

“She got hurt one day, you both did.” He pauses and takes my hand “See this scar on your right hand, you both got attacked by a stray dog you were only three at the time, you both went into hospital and you got out a few days earlier because it wasn’t as serious as your sisters. Two days later we went to get your sister from hospital but she wasn’t there, she had got up in the night and sleepwalked out of the hospital and anyone could have got her. We searched high and low for years and years your mother became stressed and we decided to have another baby a few years later, that is when EunJi and MinJi were born, but after they were your mother developed a serious cancer that was untreatable in Korea that is why we sent you and her to England with the twins. JiYong was 12 at the time and his studies at school were begin to become serious so he didn’t leave.”

“I am a twin?” I couldn’t believe it. I said goodbye to appa and walked up stairs into my room and sat down on my bed grasping the picture in my hands, tears began to fall down my face, I never cry. Never. IU ran up to me and pulled me close into a hug.

“JiEun, what happened?” IU asks. I had over the picture and my tears turn into hiccups.

I manage to get out the words “I have a twin sister,” I take a deep breath and continue “she is gone away now, I don’t know where she is.”

I fall back onto my pillow. “Unnie, I think I know who it is.”

“What?” I say “What did you say?”

“Well I can’t be sure exactly, what was your sisters name?” IU says.

“I am not sure, I didn’t ask, I was too upset.”

“Tomorrow morning, ask your dad what your sisters name is.” She pauses “I’ve seen this
picture before, I know I have.”

She tucks my in to bed and she vanishes downstairs. I couldn’t get to sleep, but I try harder I blank my mind and just imagine a black screen appearing in front of my eyes and that makes it easier to fall asleep.

I can’t remember if I had dreams at all that night, it was all overwhelming.

I wake up, take a shower, get dressed and go downstairs everyone is eating and I manage to take a few gulps of water and that’s it. I cannot eat anything. Before I head to school I manage to ask appa. “What was her name?”

“Hwang SuJi,” He says.

I nod and off to school I go. When I get there I sit in silence in homeroom. People are talking, but I do not feel like it. I am too upset to be involved in silly games and stuff.

I look out the window and see people laughing and having fun.

IU comes in and sits next to me. “Did you find out her name?” She asks me.

“Hwang SuJi.” I say straight faced not being able to tear my eyes away from the happy people outside the window.

“I knew it, I know who your sister is. You may not believe me, but I went to primary school with her, we were best friends for years, but then this girl came up to me and stole her off me, we are still good friends now and the other girl still doesn’t know, I can introduce her to you if you want me to?”

“Really, you know her? How do you know it is her?”

“She told me, she was adopted and showed me this photo of her, her brother and her sister, she also knew what her dad really looked like and she described him to me, she doesn’t know how she became to be adopted, all she knew is she was in hospital one night and then at someone’s house the next.”

“You need to introduce me to her, tonight, can you bring her up to my room? Tell her to bring the photo with her too. I need to solve this once and for all.” I say and put my head down on the desk.

I managed to get through the day and through work with ease, still with my sister on my mind but I managed, I hung out with Tao most of the day and we decided to help pick some applicants to help run the store. Lee SeolHyun from the café had applied too. I chose her to be accepted. Tao, however chose someone we both knew very well. “Wu YiFan” No not Kris.

Aigoo, well at least it isn’t too bad we pick two more to help Mr Lee and Ms Shi, IU made a good applicant and so did Eli and YongHwa from school. Done. Five people to be added to the worker list.

I get home and I decide to read and update my journal and just as I finish IU walks in.

“Unnie, I found your sister, well actually she wasn’t that hard to find considering I had known her for years and she goes to our school, she doesn’t know what is happening yet so I’ve just invited her to come and stay in the house for tonight, don’t mention anything straight away.”

“Wait, she goes to our school, what does she do, do I know her?”

“Yeah, you know her, she is a musician like us.”

Just then I know who it is, that second day at school when I sat by IU, HaYi and SuJi me and SuJi compared our birthdays and faces, we looked similar and everything. It had to be her.
IU opened the door and called her in.

“Annyeong unnie,” SuJi said as she walked in.

“Oh neh, Annyeong unnie,” I couldn’t get over it. She had to be my sister, there was no doubts about that today. “Do you want to watch some dramas? Or we could listen to music or do some work?” I asked.

“How about we do homework and listen to music then we can watch a drama?” SuJi says.

“Neh that sounds good” IU says.

That is what we do, I finish my work a bit earlier and go and find JiYong.

I knock on his door and he opens it. “Ah dongseng what do you want?” He says and pulls me in.

“Ah oppa, did you know I have a sister.”

“Yeah, MinJi and EunJi. Why?” he asks.

“Ani, not them but a twin sister.” I say.

“Ah, yeah, she went missing, did appa tell you?” he asks again I knew he was wondering where this was going to lead.

“Well, I have found her, well I didn’t IU did. I didn’t realise but when I saw the pictures last night I went and asked dad who she was with us and he told me about her and her name and what happened that night at the hospital, honestly, who sleep walks out of the hospital.”

“What do you mean you found her? Is she here?” He goes to leave the room but I quickly grab him.

“Oppa, she doesn’t know we are family yet, I don’t know how to ask her or say anything, we can’t scare her, but oppa, she is one of my best friends so I don’t want to scare her or make her think I am obsessed with her or anything.”

“Ah okay, I’ll get the boys, we should come and hang out, honestly we wont say anything, Lee JiEun is there too right?” He asks me.

“Yeah she is, watching a film wh-“ I ask him but he interrupts.

“Good, let me go and get them.”

I go back into my room and I see they are setting up the television.

“Unnie what do you want to watch?” I smile because she calls me unnie without even realising that we are actually sisters.

“Can we watch, Secretly Greatly film? Or Millionaires first love? I love those films!” I say

“Me too unnie Kim SooHyun is amazing isn’t he.” I nod, and IU puts it in we all sit on my bed or on the sofa and begin watching it.

Just then BigBang walk in with food and drinks.

“Here, we bought food,” they say and throw it on to the table. I lie on the bed and YoungBae brings me a can of cola and some snacks and lies next to me, SeungHyun lies the other side of me. JiYong squeezes himself onto the sofa next to IU and Suzy and Seungri and Daesung sit cross legged on the floor in front of them.

“What are we watching?” YoungBae whispers in my ear.

“Secretly Greatly.” I say.

“Ahh, your appa helped produce this didn’t he?” he says.

“Jinjja? Is there anything he hasn’t done?” I ask.

“Ani, not that I can think of anyway why?” Seunghyun says.

After the film finishes, me and Suzy are sat on my bed, IU left with JiYong and the rest of BigBang, who were most likely asleep right now because of how quiet the house was, I felt as if me and Suzy were the only ones awake. I had noticed JiYong always hanging around when IU was around, maybe he liked her.

“Hey unnie, why did you ask me to bring some photos in?” Suzy asks.

“Ah well, here.” I reach into my pocket and hand her the photo.

“What is this?” She begins, “I have the same photograph.”

“You are adopted right?” I say.

“Neh, what has that got to do wi- wait, you don’t mean.”

“Yeah, I do, we are sisters. JiYong is your brother and you have two younger twin sisters. I didn’t realise it before, but we have the same scars from the dog attack and appa had to explain everything because I was too young to remember what happened when I was younger.” I say.

“How come I was adopted, didn’t you want me anymore?” She pouted.

“Ani, it’s not like that I was release from hospital two days earlier than you, you were in critical condition, but two nights later you had sleepwalked out of hospital and were in someone’s home, and they posted pictures up, but we didn’t live around that area, umma and appa posted news reports and flyers everywhere to find you we searched high and low but we gathered you had completely gone.”

“This is unreal, I cannot believe this is happening. You are my sister. This is amazing, That is the same story I was told, well the part about sleep walking and ending up in someone’s house. They took me to an adoption place when no one came forward and I ended up being with the Bae family so I changed my name to bae SuJi even though I knew it was Hwang SuJi, but I didn’t remember anything of my past but I had two photographs, one of my real umma and appa and one of my siblings. I carried them round with me in hospital didn’t I?” I nod.

I got up and pulled her into a hug, “I can’t believe I have a sister.” I laugh and she does too.

“That explains the same date of birth and why we look the same,” she says.

“We both look like umma,” I say.

“Where is umma?” she asks.

“I don’t know how to tell you this, you better sit down.”

I'm so sorry about the sleepwalking out of the hospital, we find out if that is really what happened in the next couple of chapter.

No matter what, you must read, especially if you love YoungBae & JiEun together, you must! I promise it will be good.
