I felt his warm breath on my face, his body tensed all around me. I wanted to confess, but before I could. JiYong walked through the door.

“Oh! Mianhae, I-I’ll be downstairs.” He said quickly and ran off. That was the perfect opportunity to leave the room.

“Oppa!” I called and ran after him.

JiYong turned around as I caught up to him on the stairs. “Yeah?”

“Oppa,” I hugged him. “I don’t know what to do. He likes me, and I think I like him, but there this other guy,” was I on about BaekHyun? I don’t know. “Help me?”

“Araseyo JiEun, lets go to your room, Daesung and Seungri are in my room.” I walk back into my room and JiYong oppa follows and shuts the door. “Okay, so who else do you like?” He asks me.

“Nan molla, but I feel like there is someone else that I am meant to be with, and even so, I can’t be with Taeyang because he is famous and it’ll cause a scandal.” I reply fiddling with my fingers on my lap.

“Like appa cares about scandals, he is the most famous person in all of Korea, in all of Asia, I am pretty sure he could handle it himself and plus he hasn’t actually put a ban on dating, like Ryeowook briefly dated Lee Hyori and he wasn’t mad.” He paused again, why was he always pausing “plus everyone wants you and YoungBae to be together, me, Seungri, Daesung and SeungHyun and IU were discussing it earlier.”

“Wait what? You guys can date? Oh that is so cool. And what, why were you talking about us? Where were we?” I ask.

“Well, it was the other morning, just before you asked me if he liked you. Everyone was already awake and we were going to plan on it, but looks like it already took place right?” He replies, then adds, “make your mind up after we win the competition, I’ll let him know just be friends with him for now, right?”

I nod, and he heads back out the door.

YoungBae walks in after he left. “You heard everything?” I ask to which he nods and sits down where JiYong had just left.

“I understand, if I’m honest, JiEun, I really like you, and I have done for ages, but if you can’t return my feelings, then please let us be friends. REALLY CLOSE FRIENDS. I want to protect you more than anything, please just let me be there for you, if you need to go anywhere alone, take me with you. I will not be a burden I promise. Just let me like you.” He paused I look up at him, his eyes were full of sadness. I reach up and kiss his cheek.

“I’ll tell you soon enough oppa,” I say, his eyes went wide, like D.O’s I giggled, but he kissed my cheek back.

“Promise?” He replies.

“Promise!” I say I stand up ready to leave the room to go and read, but he grabs my wrist and pulls me back down and hugs me from behind.

“I really do like you JiEun,” that was it, I didn’t want to move I wanted to stay in his arms forever.

We sat in silence for a moment, I could feel his warmth radiate off his body that is when I knew I was safe with him, but I couldn’t help feeling that I was meant to meet someone new soon.

Someone who would love me even more, but at this moment, my life seemed perfect. Those butterflies fluttered around in my stomach, I could hear his heart beat.

After a while, YoungBae stood up and pulled me up, “let’s go practice, even though you can’t, you can still watch and instruct.”

“I want to practice though, I don’t want to be the reason we lose.” I say.

“But you can’t what happened the other day, I won’t let you.” YoungBae says angrily.

“Ya, I won’t ever tell you then.” *Merong* I giggle. “Please, I’m fine, honestly.”

“Okay, but if you feel the slightest bit faint or dizzy or anything, let me know okay.”

We walk out the room together to find BaekHyun and ChanYeol with my sisters. Playing cutely. ChanYeol gives me a quick smirk and BaekHyun grins widely.

“Noona, I’m playing with your dongsaengs, want to join?” BaekHyun asks.

“Ani, we have to go and practice now, are you two coming?” I ask directed at ChanYeol and BaekHyun, they nod and get up.

“MinJi, EunJi, are you coming to watch oppa perform?” BaekHyun says.

“Of course!” EunJi says and runs up to hold his hand. YoungBae grabs mine, at first it’s just a loose grab, I don’t hold his hand back, but then I interlock my hands with his and we walk down behind ChanYeol, BaekHyun and my sisters.

“Ya! Are you two dating,” I heard a voice say behind me.

“Omo, IU, I didn’t see you unnie.” I reply

“Are you dating?” she repeats with a serious face.

“Ani,” Youngbae loosens his grip but I tighten mine, “we are just friends” he says.

I smile, why every guy can’t be like my YoungBae. Wait.. MY YOUNGBAE??

After another week and a half of training. The 16th of September finally arrived. The day of the competition. I woke up with a little headache but I took some medicine and got ready for school. MyungSoo and TaeHee were coming to watch, Mr Lee and Ms Seo, appa and MinJun and Lee SeolHyun were all coming to watch us after school.

It was a Thursday so that meant I had my second day of Dance, Music and Vocals that week.

So I used those as warmup sessions which was fun, I got to work with BaekHyun and DO and Chen and Suho and Luhan, Kevin and the rest of the vocal groups. I tell 2NE1 good luck and I give them all hugs, we had been close having all our dance, music and vocal lessons together and they were really nice. Bom and Dara were so cute, whilst the younger two CL and Minzy were fierce and lovely but they too, were cute. Me and IU spent everyday preparing for this event, she said I should rest because I never know what would happen because of what the doctor said.

I just always replied with “I am fine, honestly, I’m not even tired.” Today that was a lie. I had a really bad headache and I considered telling YoungBae and IU about it, but I didn’t want to ruin the chance of winning, they all needed and wanted to debut really fast, I didn’t want to be the one standing in their way.

Last lesson of the day, was always a free. We’d been using this as extra practicing time, but today we used it as preparations, getting our costumes on ( which we had previous discussed the first week of the competitions announcement, we went with the black and mysterious edgy shiny look. I had borrowed a lot of clothes from CL and Minzy, who were happy to help, since their groups concept was colourful.

It felt nice being with the whole group again. Sehun and Kai sat next to me and gave me some
tea.

“Please do well SeHun, I want you to debut quickly.” I say and Kai nudges me. “and you Kai, then you can all be my neighbours on the complex.”

“Yehet,” Sehun says “of course we will debut, but if we do are you moving in with us at the dorms or staying up at your house?” he asks.

“Well BigBang use the house, so I will probably stay there, but I can always come and visit you can’t I!” I reply.

Kris comes up to me, I had been avoiding him ever since that hair ruffle and smile day. He pulls me into a hug and the room goes silent. “Good luck JiEun-ah, we can do this” he pulls his arms into the ‘Fighting’ position and smiles. I just stand there blankly. I sit down still staring at nothing. YoungBae arrives and sits next to me. I lean my head on his shoulder and he asks if something had happened.

“Aniyeo, I’m just a little confused that’s all.” I say. “We are One!” I hear Exo say.

Looks like its time to head down to the main showcase arena. There were massive groups everywhere I saw HaYi and I waved, we hadn’t really spoke since they announce the friendly competition. I also waved to 2NE1 who were over the far side of the arena.

The first group walked on stage, I looked into the audience Mr Lee, Ms Seo and Lee SeolHyun were there sitting next to each other. Park TaeHee and MyungSoo were there too. MyungSoo waved and I waved back.

The first group consisted of 2NE1, a group of 5 guys, a girl and a boy a group of six girls and a group of musicians. ‘Woah, daebak! I say, but IU slaps my head. “Ani, not daebak, we will be better.”

I look closely at the group, the musicians are in my music class, they play really well and I’ve spoke to them a few times, YongHwa, MinHyuk, JungShin and JongHyun, who are in a group called CNBLUE I think. I look even closer. It’s the ghost boy. Why is he everywhere that I go?
I saw the way they moved together, it was like clockwork, so perfectly timed, the vocals were on point and perfectly projected and ghost boys rap sent shivers down my spine. Ghost boys voice sounded deep and seductive, I had never heard him speak before, and it is not the way I imagined it.

“Unnie, who are these people the five boys?” I turn and ask IU who looked great in black if I might add.

“Onew, Taemin, Jonghyun, Key and Minho.” She said, “MinHo is the one who saved you from Min that day. They are in a group called SHINee, they really want to debut, because of how hard they work, they left their families moved into a dormitory and spend all day together and practice really hard.”

I nod and go back to watching them. They are so good, it is almost like watching BigBang perform, but it is a different type of music. The girl group with six members have a solo part next and it is good, CNBLUE continue playing their music all the way through, I have never seen a performance like theirs at all even JiYong was shocked to see how good they were, but nevertheless he continued to cheer us on more, encouraging us.

I had practiced so hard, we all had. The whole two weeks was full of dance, vocals, music and work for me. The headache continued to make my head pulse faster I sat down next to Sehun and Luhan, who were talking, but I couldn’t hear them over my headache. I massaged my temples and threw my head backwards. This is better.

The next group walked on staged, HaYi waved gently at me and IU, her group was really great too. Not as good as the first, because I am pretty sure their group was the one to beat.

After HaYi’s group performance the next one was Suzy’s group with Miss A and Wondergirls and few others who I had never seen before.

We went backstage and prepared to get on the stage, we didn’t see much of a performance from Suzy but we heard the reactions and the music. It’s good.

Just then our names are called out by an actor I recognised, I paused and stared at his face.
‘Jang GeunSuk?’

He nods and shows us the way, to the stage, the lights go on and we begin. I could see SuperJunior boys in the audience, Lee Hyori was there too, MinJun and Appa sat at the back discussing, whilst MinJi and EunJi were with MinJun too. I couldn't wait to greet him, it had been too long. I saw a familiar group of girls who were sat at the front on the side, SoNyeoShiDae. I smile whilst I do the choreography and I begin to enjoy it.

My headache was getting worse though, Kevin’s part was coming up and I was in the middle with IU and Sehun and Kai, I felt my heart pound I stopped dancing and the world began to swirl and spin around me, I couldn’t find anyone to hold on to, my mind went blank and I fell to the floor.
