The way which the wind blows

Chapter 8

Your POV
Home time arrived for eleven members of Exo. They all winked at Sehun and I as they left the front door. “Don’t be a beast in the sheets.” One of them commented, and I swear if I knew who it was they would get the biggest beating. “Do you have pajamas that I could sleep in?” I ask nervously. The thought of sleeping in an unfamiliar person’s house is terrifying. Sehun nods and leads me up the stairs to his bedroom. He takes out a plain white T-shirt and boxer shorts from his closet. He apologizes as soon as he sees me make a face at the clothes. “I feel uncomfortable sleeping with long sleeves and long pants.” He says feeling the hair at the back of his head. “Even if it’s cold weather, I just sleep with multiple blankets.” I nod. “Do you also have a spare toothbrush? Oh my gosh I feel like such a bother.” I try to smile, but I feel like this event is making him feel uncomfortable towards me. Sehun nods without a word and leads me to the bathroom. He rummages through the cabinets and sighs with relief. “I knew I had a spare. Lucky you.” He says handing it to me. I rip off the packaging. “I think I’ll get ready for bed now.” I say. He leaves me to it.

Sehun’s POV
It’s been so long since I’ve had anyone sleep over night at my house. Exo don’t even do it, let alone a girl I just met. Usually we sleep at Joonmyun’s house because he has a spare room his older brother’s old room. His older brother had moved out and I haven’t seen him since. I brush my teeth in the bathroom downstairs. I wriggle into my fresh shirt and boxers and walk out to slump on the couch in the living room. I flick through the channels while I wait for (Y/N) to finish brushing up. I hear footsteps walking down the stairs and I turn my head to face her. She looked so ordinary, but so cute in my over-sized male clothes. “The shirt is a little too big, and so were the shorts, but I used a safety pin to fasten it. I hope you don’t mind. I shake my head and she sits down next to me. I let out a slight chuckle. “You don’t have to be so uncomfortable. Relax. Make yourself at home, I don’t mind.” She relaxes her spine. I look over at her and notice that the white shirt is translucent enough that I see the outline of her bra. I blush and turn my attention back to the TV screen. The commercial finishes and continues with the movie. I hear her gasp. “I love this movie!” she says. “What’s it about?” I ask. “It’s a bit hard to explain. It’s kinda like, this guy is being chased by these guys who have this power to teleport by opening doors….” I make a confused face at her. “The movie has just started. You will get the concept. Shhhhh.”

As I’m watching the movie, I feel a slight bump on my shoulder. I turn to find that (Y/N) is sleeping against my shoulder. “I thought you said you loved this movie.” I whisper although I know she can’t hear me.

At a commercial break, I am in the need to pee. I slowly stand, conscious that if I move too abruptly I might wake her. I take her head in my hands and lower it to the couch. I quickly run off before I pee my pants. When I come back, (Y/N) is up and massaging her temples. “I was wondering where you went.” She said in a tired tone. I sit down next to her, just in time for the commercial breaks to end. “Did I wake you? I’m sorry.” She nods. “I was having a dream that I was one of those teleporter guys. Woah, have I been sleeping for that long? I missed some of the action.” She wines.

Soon I feel another bump on my shoulder, but she isn’t sleeping. “Sorry, does this bother you? I’m sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable.” She lifts her head back up. “It doesn’t bother me, if your neck is tired you can lean on me. After a slight pause, she places her head back on my shoulder. It feels weird that I let a random girl rest her head on my shoulder, why have I suddenly become so open and tolerant.

The movie finishes, and she’s asleep again. It seems rude to disturb her during her sleep, so I awkwardly scoop her up and struggle to carry her up the stairs. Who knew carrying a girl was so hard? Those TV actors make it seem as easy as breathing. I finally make it to the stop of the stairs and kick open the door to the spare room. No one has slept in here for years, ever since my uncle came down to visit us when I was ten years old. It feels so lifeless and lonely and I imagine what it would be like to wake up in this room surrounded by this sad impression. I decide that this room is too depressing for this cheery girl, so I take her to my room. I lay her down on my bed and lightly massage my arms. Damn this girl is heavy. I figure that its too weird for me to sleep in the same bed as a girl so I walk across the house to my parent’s room. I switch on the lights and stare into the room. It smells of loneliness. Bed sheets left untouched, lamps covers in thick layers of dust, air cold like the dead. Like the dead. It’s just as depression to sleep in this room. I sigh and turn off the lights. I hurry back to my room. I bunch a spare blanket together and use it to indicate a clear line in-between us. I nod in satisfaction and lie down on my bed. Sleep waits, and after, school.

I wake with a jolt and fall out of my bed in shock. I pant. Her face was way too close to mine. I stand up and examine the sleeping girl in my bed. She has obviously crossed the line I… hang on… where is the blanket I put out yesterday that we couldn’t pass? I lift the sheets to see the blanket balled up at the bottom of her feet. She makes a soft noise, grabs the sheets and pulls it back up to her chin. “Wake up.” I say bluntly. I use the back of my hand to smack her of the forehead. Not too hard, but not too soft. She grunts, turns the other direction and mumbles, “Sleep.” I tear the blanket from her hands, exposing her bare arms and legs to the cool air of the morning. I open the blinds to my room; the sun shines across her face which makes her eyes shut tighter. Her skin glows in the morning light, I swallow the urge to gently touch her skin. “Wake up.” I repeat. She sits up in bed. “Today is Saturday…” she groans. “No it isn’t. Today is Wednesday.” I say firmly but inside my head I was laughing at her cuteness. “No, no, no, no. It’s Saturday.” She said curling up into a ball. I have no idea why I did what I did. It just felt like the right thing to do. I jump on top of her; her body under mine, my hands press on the mattress on either side of her head, my knees pin the mattress so she couldn’t escape from under me. I lean in really close to her ear and whisper. “If you don’t wake up now, I’ll tickle you awake.”

Your POV
His hot breath brushes my ear as he whispers. “If you don’t wake up now, I’ll tickle you awake.” I try to force my eyes open but its like there is glue holding my eyelids down. I try to open my mouth to notify that I’m awake, but my mouth wont open either. Am I paralyzed? Or maybe I’m just too lazy to get up. “Too late.” Says Sehun and I feel fingers running down my belly, like he is hesitant to tickle me. I can feel how cool each fingertip is through the shirt. Swirling across my belly as he contemplates if it is right to tickle me. Don’t tickle me! I’m awake! I just don’t know how to tell you at the moment! I start to feel a sensation on my belly. He’s started tickling. “Wake up.” He says while ticking me. Eventually the tickling becomes more hard-core. “Get up, we’ll be late to school. I roll around to try and escape, but something is stopping me when I try to. This is torture! It isn’t even funny. It doesn’t feel good. It hurts!

Sehun’s POV
While I’m tickling her awake, a tear rolls down her cheek. I immediately stop. “W-What’s wrong?” I ask. Her eyes flutter open. “It’s nothing.” She says. “It’s not nothing if you’re crying.” I say feeling guilty because I made a girl cry. “It’s just, I’ve never in my life found tickling…ticklish…. I guess. When somebody tickles me, I don’t know why, but, it hurts.” She says wiping her tear. I have no idea why I did what I did. It just felt like the right thing to do. I crouch down on top of her, hands against the mattress on each side of her head. “I’m sorry.” I whisper. “I didn’t mean to make you cry.” “It’s not your fault. You didn’t know and I was being stubborn and not waking up.” She smiles so radiant that it’s warmer than the sun shining in through the window. The moment is perfect. The glowing morning sun, me on top of her, alone in the house. I was just about ready to just lean in and kiss her when…..
I was wrong about us being alone in the house.
