He takes me to a café, which is apparently five stars. It’s really beautiful and it has a cozy feeling to it. It kind of makes you feel at home, and makes you feel you’ve known this place for ages. Hyuk takes my hand and leads me into the café. I am suddenly conscious of my sweaty hands. It’s a hot day and he’s making me feel even hotter. Damn. He leads me to the front counter. “Can I speak to Cameron?” he says. The young woman at the counter nods and leaves. She soon comes back with a handsome young man with flowing blond hair. His green eyes as beautiful as emeralds and his lips pink and full. His eyes land on Hyuk and a smile instantly spreads across his face. “SANGHYUK!” he says loudly. “CAMERON!” Hyuk responds. They embrace over the counter, and Hyuk is still grasping onto my hand. “I haven’t seen you in ages!” says Cameron as they let go of each other. “You saw me last week.” Laughs Hyuk. “And in a week’s time you found yourself a girlfriend.” Cameron raises an eyebrow at me and the smile remains on his face. “Quit joking around.” Says Hyuk as he shoves his friend on the shoulder. My mind spins. He didn’t deny it. But we’re not officially dating. So, so, what do I do? “Do you have any space so we can eat?” says Hyuk, he turns his head to smile at me. “Of course! Anything for my VIXX boys! Lets go up.” Cameron walks out from behind the counter to lead us to a table. It is only when Cameron is standing next to Hyuk do I realize how tall he is. Cameron is the same height as Hyuk, and here I am, a midget, scraping at 160cm while these guys are shooting 183cm. The handsome blond man takes us to a set of stairs. “There’s an upstairs?” I say, amazed. Cameron smiles and nods at me. We take the stairs and arrive at the next level. “It’s more romantic up here.” He says giving Hyuk and I a wink. I instantly blush and realize that Hyuk is still holding my hand…or am I holding his hand? Cameron sits us down at a table. “I’ll come back to order in a minute.” He says and walks off.

According to Hyuk, Cameron used to be VIXX’s merchandise person. He would design merchandise he thought fans would buy the most. After a couple of years he found a girlfriend and decided to help her run a café she recently bought. He and VIXX still meet up from time to time. I order a pecking duck wrap and Hyuk orders a pasta cabonara. While we wait for the food to come, we engage in conversation. Not cheesy conversation like how was school or how many friends do you have or what do you like to do fro fun. Conversation where I can laugh and enjoy myself. I savour every moment I spend with Hyuk. The waiter comes with our food. I bounce in my seat as the beautiful aroma fills my nostrils. I take a bit out of the wrap as soon as it is set on the table. My eyes light up as the flavors dance on my tongue. The flavors work so well! “MMMM! This is so good!” I say uncontrollably. Hyuk smiles. “It is 5 stars.” Unexpectedly, the same waiter comes back and brings two chocolate cakes.. In the corner of my eye I see a tall blond man. Cameron probably has a massive smile on his face. “That Cameron.” Chuckles Hyuk.

I can’t comprehend the feeling in my stomach. Butterflies. I feel like I am on a date with Hyuk, but I don’t think he feels the same way. He is a famous idol after all. Why would someone like him take an interest to an ordinary girl like me? We finish the last bites of our chocolate cake and stand up to leave. I haven’t been paying much attention to the scenery, my eyes have been on Hyuk this whole evening. “I wonder if they’re all home yet. I accidently left me phone at the dorms.” He says as we walk down the stairs. Cameron instantly meets us. “You guys are leaving already?” he whines. “Yes Cameron, I’ll see you next time.” Says Hyuk. They embrace again and pat each other on the back. Hyuk takes out his wallet and I instantly stop him. “No! I’ll pay.” I say. “Nonsense.” He smiles. “My treat to you.” Cameron sets a hand on my shoulder and Hyuk’s. “That’s bull, guys. It’s on the house for my buddy and his girlfriend.” He winked. Hyuk nudged Cameron again, harder this time. “Melinda.” I say quickly. “My name is Melinda.” They stop hitting each other and smile at me. Cameron is just as handsome as Hyuk. “Well, Melinda. It was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to seeing you again.” He suddenly took me into his arms. I stepped back, shocked. Cameron and Hyuk laughed. “I am a very touchy-feely person. Don’t take it personally.” We say our goodbyes and start to walk out of the café, when a girl my age walks up to us with a friend. “Um…Ah…Ur…” she mumbles. “Yes?” asks Hyuk. “Are you Han Sanghyuk by any chance?” she says quietly. He nods. The girl and her friend share a glance before going red. “Can we get your autograph and a photo with you?” they say. Hyuk hesitates before nodding again. “I wont be long.” He whispers to me. One girl poses with Hyuk as the other takes the picture on her phone. I feel a presence at my side. “Are you just going to stand there as other girls are touching your boyfriend?” whispers Cameron. I smile sadly. It does hurt to see him with other girls. But they’re his fans, I shouldn’t feel this way, he must get treatment like this all the time. By the time the two girls are finished taking pictures, more girls have approached him because now they’re confident that he is Sanghyuk from VIXX. I sigh. Cameron wraps an arm around my shoulders. “Don’t worry girly, you’ll get used to it.” He smiles. “We’re not going out.” I say. Cameron shrugs. “He never denied it.” My insides light up. Of course I realized it, but I was too afraid I was wrong. Does Hyuk like me? More than a friend? My face turns hot. Cameron pats me on the back and turns to leave. “If you ever need advice or anything, I’ll be here. I’ll be happy to get you guys together.” He winks before continuing with his job. Ten minutes of waiting for Hyuk pass. Girls waiting and posing with Hyuk, his smile doesn’t fade. My smile doesn’t fade either, despite how lonely I feel inside.
